1. Aramaic (re Remarks concerning Aramaic and the Translation of Onkelos):
The Book of Hosea apparently contains Aramaicisms, although written in Hebrew.
The Northern Kingdom was pretty familiar with Aramaic.
My the Lord Bless you Yair and stay on the sunny side.

2. Monarchs of France.
Interesting video. The Monarchy faded out in France. Louis XV lost Quebec to England in the Seven Years War. Then he died from smallpox. He had an infamous affair with Madame Du Barry. The Court of Versailles was filled with gossip, intrigue and political rivalry. Louis XVI then became King of France. He was the grandson of Louis XV. Louis XVI was a saintly man who wanted to avoid violence with the Parisian mob at all costs. He was a good man, but at the wrong place and time. In the fall of 1789, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were removed to the Tuilleries Palace in Paris. Mirabeau, who was a more moderate revolutionary, wanted to set up a constitutional Monarchy like the one in England. He was the leader of the Girondists in the National Assembly. However, more violently radical political factions like the Mountain, the Hebertists, etc. wanted a republic and a violent revolution. Camille Desmoulins, Jean-Paul Marat [murdered by Charlotte Corday, a Girondist supporter], Danton and Robespierre were the bad folks of the revolution.
After the revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte rose through the ranks to become dictator of France. He was born on the island of Corsica to Italian parents. Originally, he could have thrown in his hat with the Corsicans who wanted the French out of their island, but he decided to back France instead. One of his earliest victories was at Toulon. Around this time George III [of England] was suffering from dementia and England was in the "Regency Period". The English won a decisive naval victory at Trafalgar when Horatio "Hornblower" Nelson beat the French navy. Thereafter, Napoleon was confined to the continent and began to move eastwards towards Russia. The story of this is recounted by Count Leo Tolstoy in War and Peace. Napoleon continued to win victories until about 1812 [there was a war at this time between the US and Canada as well]. When Napoleon invaded Moscow, the city was deserted. Spontaneous fires from stoves burnt the city to the ground. Napoleon was placed on the island of Ebla, but later escaped and returned to France. He was decisively beaten in 1815 by a coalition. [The English general] Wellington , who was a military genius, played a role in his defeat. After Napoleon, the deposed Bourbons [of France] tried to reestablish themselves, but this did not last long. So today France is a republic. In the book "War and Peace", Leo Tolstoy believed that Napoleon was the anti-christ 666, "L'empereur napoleon"-Pierre Bezuhov.

3. Kings of England.
The transfer of the British throne to the Hanover dynasts occurred around the time of Queen Anne. There was no Protestant available to be monarch,so the rule went to a distant descendant of James I,son of Mary Queen of Scots,in Hannover who was a Protestant. This in turn caused problems with Scotland who wanted Bonnie Prince Charlie to be King-they were the Jacobites and their rebellion was the "Jacobite Rebellion". Jacobite comes from the name James, where James is a reference to James I,son of Mary Queen of Scots.
It should be remembered that England once controlled the Kingdom of Hanover in Germany. Queen Victoria was not able to rule Hanover, because of the Salic law [limiting inheritance to the male side]. This caused the split between England and Hanover. Not long after, Hanover ceased to exist- gobbled up by the process of German unification that occurred in the later part of the 19th century, led, I believe by Bismarck of Prussia.

4. Comments about Sweden.
Sweden originally occupied much more land than today. The Swedes used to attack Russia in the time of Alexander Nevsky,Prince of Novgorod. There is an old movie about Alexander Nevsky. At the beginning the men of Novgorod are fishing in the Neva River and singing about their victory over the Swedes. The Teutonic Knights of Germany are the villains of the film however. The Swedes also attacked cities in Germany and were pretty warlike. There are films about Queen Christina of Sweden and her abdication. Sweden lost much of its territory during "The Great Northern War". Menasseh Ben Israel visited Queen Christina in Sweden. He also visited Oliver Cromwell in England.
