The Evacuation of Israeli Communities During the Swords of Iron War: Plans, Execution, and Reassessing the Criteria for Evacuation

Operation Swords of Iron, the war in Gaza, brought the government to order the evacuation of communities close to the frontlines in the South and the North and their integration in various institutional frameworks around the country. At the same time, other residents and communities independently evacuated themselves. According to figures released by Israel's National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) and presented by the Research and Information Center, as of November 1, 2023 around 253,000 Israelis Knesset's had been evacuated from their homes. This process entailed many hardships for the evacuees, as well as for the Israeli economy and society in general.

Hittite King Mursilis II (c. 1345-1315 bce) mentions kings of Akhkhiyawa (so-called 'Greek' Achaeans), At this time, they were fighting as allies of the Hittites and as mercenaries in Egypt. This was the period of Ikhnaton, 1377-1358 bce. Habiru (Hebrews) are harassing Syria and Palestine. At this time , the Judge Ehud (Aod or Achir) ruled over Israel 1383-1303 bce. Aodh is an Irish name. Ehud was a member of the Akhiah or Akhiyah clan of Benjamin and connected to Geba and Gibeon.

If this myth is true, the mythical "Queen of Babylon" may be Amytis, who was a Mede born in the city of Ecbatana (a city of the Medes,where the deported House of Israel may have been settled). The Neo-Babylonian Empire (Chaldaeans) also fought a war with Cilicia, mentioned in the myth. The Neo-Babylonian Empire and the Medes formed a joint alliance and this was sealed by the marriage of King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon to Queen Amytis, daughter of Cyaxares, King of the Medes. They jointly destroyed the Neo-Assyrian Empire with their Kimmerian allies,associated with the Medes. The famous hanging gardens of Babylon were built for Queen Amytis so that she would feel less homesick for the mountains of Media (where the lost House of Israel was deported to). The Scythians were originally Assyrian vassals,but Cyaxares seems to have formed an alliance with them. It may be that Amytis hired the Sacae as allies or mercenaries from her Dad,Cyaxares,to expand and defend the Neo-Babylonian Empire. Cyaxares married a daughter of Nabopolassar as part of the Neo-Babylonian-Median alliance. Herodotus also mentions another great Queen of Babylon called "Nitocris of Babylon". Nitocris may be the Queen mentioned in the story of Belshazzar's feast in the Book of Daniel. The Queen of Babylon could be Adad-Guppi, mother of Nabonidus,King of Babylon. Adad-Guppi was of Assyrian ancestry. Adad-Guppi lived to 104 and enjoyed good health all her days. She may have served as regent ruler of Babylon in place of her son Nabonidus. A 19th century theory hypothesized that Nitocris was a "Queen regnant" daughter of Nebuchadnezzar.

Evidence for an Etruscan presence in bronze age Greece and Crete (part of Greece). Greek myth mentions the hero 'Theseus' and the place name 'Aulis'. In Etruscan culture, 'Thesan' was a moon goddess and 'Aulus' was a common name. There was an ancient city of Pisa in Greece and a later, and much more famous, city of Pisa in Etruria in Italy.
Greece was under the control of the fascist Metaxas regime back in the 30s and early 40s. Metaxas aligned himself with Hitler's Germany.

Thank you Yair. It is strange, and perhaps fated, that the Nazis and their allies were defeated just before the emergence of nuclear warfare. The Nazis had better tanks -like the Tiger tanks I and II. They developed the first jet fighter plane (ME-262) and they were ahead of the rest of the world in rocketry with the V-2. Still, they were completely defeated by the invisible force of G-d.

A Provenance Study of Mycenaean pottery from Northern Israel. S. Zuckerman 2010. This mentions 183 Mycenaean pottery vessels from 14 sites in northern Israel. Analysis of this pottery shows that most of it came from a "workshop in the Argolid". The Argolid was the country about the city of Argos, Greece. It was at Argos that we find two bronze age peoples called the Danaans and Achaeans who were among the Sea Peoples.

Another connection between Mycenaean Greece and Israel in the time of the Book of Judges. Pharaoh Merneptah refers to Israel during an attack of the Sea Peoples on ancient Egypt. The city of Gezer is mentioned in Merneptah's war against Israel and the Sea Peoples. Gezer was a city of Ephraim. Early 20th century archaeology determined the presence of Mycenaean finds at Gezer, cf.,

It is impossible for water be higher than land. Water finds its level on the level earth. The earth is not a wet rock spinning in outer space vacuum. all civilizations before ours depicted it as an extended, stationary, level, topographical plane with land masses where human live surrounded by water that has boundaries as the Bible says. The boundary of the oceans is the very high land-and-ice mass of Antarctica which is not a continent on the bottom of a ball but an icy edge surrounding u. It holds the oceans in. Genesis 1 describes the earth as covered by a great firmament created on Day 2. Psalm 19 says it is stretched over the earth like a "tent to dwell in." Normally a prism makes a straight spectrum of colors, but the curved firmament produces a curved prism rainbow.

Many scoff at the flood legend. However, there are flood legends all over the world which match many details of the TaNaKH account. From legends among Northwestern Native Americans(from Google AI): The Great Spirit came and told the people to make some big rafts; that a lot of rain was going to come and destroy a lot of the earth and its people. The Indians built big rafts of cedar logs lashed together with cedar root ropes, and were told to drift toward a certain mountain.

Apropos to my comment below: Tir na n'Og would indicate that the Danaans of Ireland may have originated from the northern branch of the tribe of Dan, since Dan would" leap from Bashan" and Og was the "King of Bashan". Og was a giant, and the ancient Israelites called that land the "land of the giants". Tel Dan in the far north of Israel was only about 4 to 4.5 miles from Beth Maachah. Maachah was the wife of Machir,a man of war. In Irish myth, there is a war goddess, Macha, associated with the Danaans and Eri. Therefore, the Mycenean site at Tel Dan,in Israel's far north, may have been the original base of the Danaan of Ireland and those who settled Denmark in the bronze age. The southern branch of Dan may have been taken into Assyrian exile, and ended up as the Danes,joining others from the earlier colonization of Denmark. I should note that Ir of Benjamin was the father of Maachah, and Ireland derives its name from the Iri or Eri [the spelling is ambiguous] of Ullad or Ulster. Many of the Eri emigrated to Scotland, setting up the Kingdom of Dal Riata in the 5th c.

Hermon. Deuteronomy 33:22 says that Dan shall leap from "Bashan". Deuteronomy 3:1 mentions "Og, King of Bashan" Irish history says that the Tuatha de Danaan had a mythical country "Tir na n'Og",which is "Land of the Og",if "Og" is taken to be a proper name, but sometimes "Og" is translated as "youth" The tribe of Dan settled in Laish, not far from Mount Hermon. Judges 18:27. 1 Chron. 5:23 Tel Dan is at the southern base of Mount Hermon. The tribe of Dan may have had an idolatrous priest who was from Manesseh Judges 18:30 Deuteronomy 34:1 mentions Gilead as far as Dan,again showing connections between Dan and Machir: "and I gave Gilead to Machir" Deuteronomy 3:15 In Irish history, The Danan are companions of the kings and princes and nobles of Eri. The children of Er were another Irish group distinct from the Danan. The Eri are also known as Irians and lived in Ulster or Ullad. Ireland's name Erin is from the Eri. The Danan were military auxiliaries of the children of Er or Irians. This would imply that the Danan were the followers,while the Irians were more militarily powerful and influential. The inhabitants of Dal Riata were the Irians or Cruithin (Picts or Priteni or old Britains). Istoreth son of Istornus with his followers held Dal riata. Istoreth is similar to "Ashtoreth" Karnaim in east Manasseh. Maachah,daughter of Ir of Benjamin married Machir,son of Manasseh. In Irish myth, Macha was a daughter of Ernmas,who was the mother of Eriu,the Eri or Irians? Tel Dan or Dan [originally:Laish] was located not far from Beth Maachah "House of Maachah" and Abel or Abel Maim. Nemidh (Nemed) was the father of Iar or Iarbonel [Iar ben Nel?] the giant. Argob was the home of Jair of East Manasseh and the "Land of the giants". If Iarbonel is a corruption of "Iar ben Nel", this would show a family connection to the Milesians,who appear to be Kenite Calebites. In the TaNaKh,the Jairites and Calebites are linked in the ancestral lists. "Nel" was an ancestor of the Milesians. This would make "Nel" an ancestor of Iar as well. Nel might be Othniel,but this is far from certain. 1 Chron. 2:18-23. Iarbonel led his followers from the plateau of Phrygia in Turkey or Turkiye [region of Troy]. This may be understood as a colony of Tirzites or Thursha, from the Tirzah clan of Manasseh ,who colonized Troy from the Thursa sea people associated with bronze age Israel. Macar colonized Troy,a name which is very similar to Machir,an ancient poetic name associated with Manasseh or a faction of Manasseh. Machir was the only son of Manasseh. Erichthonius was associated with Troy, and we have "Eri" in the first part of this name. Tirzah was a beautiful and wealthy city of Manasseh in ancient Israel, and Troy was a great wealthy city of northwestern Turkey. The Song of Solomon praises the beauty of Tirzah "beautiful as Tirzah". Song of Solomon 6:4. Tirzah could be written from its consonants as Troiza ,a Trojan. Paris was a prince of Troy, a name that is similar to Peresh of Manasseh. The children of Machir were very warlike in the time of the Book of Judges. Gideon and Jephthah [east Manasseh] were military leaders of all the tribes of Israel. "From Machir RULERS came down",says Judges 5:14 when Israel was being gathered for war. Troy was very wealthy and powerful and summoned allies from many lands during the Trojan War (Homer's Iliad). The Pelasgians(Philistines) were allies of Troy. There are early iron age Philistine tombs at Tell-Fara sorth [near the site of ancient Tirzah] in Israel. Many of the Trojan names like Alaksandu [Alexander] and Hector are common Scottish names. Norse mythology claims that the Scandinavians came from the "Ida plain" [Troy].
