1. Introduction. The Article that Misled us.
Recently we posted what seemed like an interesting and valuable article.
We did not entirely agree with it but it seemed too good to pass over.
We were mistaken.
We now think the author may have relied on a third source that misled him!
He said that the daily Talmud page at the time of bombing said that:
"The West will defeat Persia, will defeat Iran, just before the coming of the Messiah."
This may well be what will happen. We hope so.
Nevertheless the Talmud Page does not say that, see below.

Shalom Yair,
Wanted to respond to the article on the Talmud-prophecy regarding Rome and the King of Persia. Although the coincidence with the headline about the attacks is certainly poignant, I think that from a LTT (Lost Ten Tribes) perspective that the USA would be the least representative candidate to meet prophetic criteria for modern day Rome. Brit-Am has explained that Rome represents the spiritual/physical/national descendants of Esau aka Edom. Germany, Italy, and other aligned powers still exist today and would much better fit the bill as "Rome". Furthermore, during the attacks, the USA did not kill or seemingly attempt to kill the King of Persia. Indeed, NO casualties at all were reported as resulting from the USA air strikes.
The USA represents the modern-day House of Joseph. In the context of President Trump using the air stiles exclusively against Iran's ability to do more harm in the future; to further his negotiations with Iran with the aim of normalizing their behaviour: We could draw a parallel with historic Joseph in his ability to negotiate a massive grain-for-territory deal after the great famine in Egypt.
Perhaps diligent scholars should place a bookmark on this Talmud page and wait for more headlines in the next cycle?

We allowed ourselves to be misled instead of sticking to the black-and-white formulations Scripture has shown us.
The leaders of Persia-Iran at present may also be descendants of Edom. Nevertheless, Edom is represented mainly by non-Israelite elements in Europe.
Britain and its offshoots and the USA are Joseph. They are destined to war against and defeat Edom (see Obadiah 1:20).

5. The Day of the Bombing and Future Predictions.
The Bombing of the Nuclear Sites in Iran by American and Israeli planes took place on Saturday-Sunday June 22, 2025.
# On June 22, 2025, the United States Air Force and Navy attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran as part of the Iran-Israel war, under the code name "Operation Midnight Hammer."...The attack was the United States's only offensive action in the Iran-Israel war, which began on June 13 with surprise Israeli strikes and ended with the ceasefire on June 24, 2025.
According to the Daily Page Calendar the only place in the Talmud for several months before and after the bombing where Rome and Persian are mentioned is on one page in tractate Avodah Zarah (Idol Worship) listed for June 22, 2025. This is the day of the bombing itself or just beside it.

There is no mentioned here of Rome and Persia fighting each other.
There is however such an entry elsewhere in the Talmud a good many pages away:

THIS IS DERIVED BY MEANS OF AN A FORTIORI INFERENCE: JUST AS THE FIRST TEMPLE, THAT THE DESCENDANTS OF SHEM BUILT IT AND THE CHALDEANS (BABYLONIANS) DESTROYED IT, AND IN TURN THE CHALDEANS, RULED BY BELSHAZZAR, FELL TO PERSIANS, RULED BY DARIUS THE MEDE AND HIS SON-IN-LAW CYRUS THE PERSIAN; THE SECOND TEMPLE, THAT THE PERSIANS BUILT IT AND THE ROMANS DESTROYED IT, IS IT NOT RIGHT THAT THE ROMANS WILL FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE PERSIANS?
And so on.
Another opinion quoted repeats the refrain that Rome will fall into the hands of Persia. This is replied to by rejoinder saying that Persia will be defeated by Rome.
It follows:
The scholar (or Rabbi) who wrote the article about the BOMB AND THE TALMUD PAGE may have seen the relevant Talmudic pages. In his mind he conflated them. When he met one he thought of the other and assumed they were the same.
And maybe there is a connection?

6. Future Power Constellations.
When the Talmud was in its stages of formulation Rome and Persia (i.e. Persia ruled by the Parthians and later by the Sassanians) were at war with Rome.
The term "Rome" could apply to either Rome in Italy or Byzantium capital of the Eastern Roman Empire.
Rome (with Byzantium) and Persia were the two most powerful nations of the period.
They may represent the most powerful nations in the End Times.
Persia could represent Russia in our time and the Nations of the East. Or the forces of Islam? Or the East and Islam together?
Edom would be the non-Israelite nations of Europe and other powers.
Will they fight with each other before uniting against Israel? Israel in this case means the LTTs together with Judah.
