Comparisons to King David by Orjan Svennsson
The Swedish royal family is in my opinion currently doing a very good job representing Sweden and taking care of the heritage.
I have not heard the present royal family say anything regarding descent from the lost tribes of Israel.
However, the present king is although belonging to the house of Bernadotte also a descendant of queen Victoria and Albert of the UK of the 1800s.
Victoria is said to have had British-Israel beliefs.
The king of Sweden is also a direct descendant of Gustav Vasa (who was coronated 500 years ago, born in 1496, reigned from 1523- 1560), who compared himself to king David of Israel. He said in Approximate translation:
"Well I should liken myself unto David, whom God from a sheperd made king over his people. I could not imagine that honor, when I had to hide in woods and desolate mountains to escape the bloodthirsty sword of the enemy. But God and the farmers of Sweden have been my help".
This is inscribed also on the tomb of Gustav Vasa in Uppsala, see

Shortly before he died in 1560 Gustav Vasa said in Approximate translation:
"Times will come when the children of Sweden would want to draw me up from the soil if they were able to. I also know that the Swedes are fast to agreement, slow to investigate. I predict, that many false spirits will continue to arise. Therefore I ask you: Hold steadfast to the word of God: Listen to the authorities being in agreement between yourselves. My time is soon over. I dont need stars or other oracles. I feel in my own body the signs, that I soon will pass away. Follow me then with your faithful prayers and when I have closed my eyes, let my remains rest in peace."
