First of all, Iran cannot be Gog, as Ezekiel clearly says that Persia is the one on the list among Gog's allies (Ezekiel 38:5). Consequently, its territory is not the Land of Magog because Gog is not an Iranian leader. Furthermore, for Gog's armies to be destroyed and buried on the mountains of Israel, they have to physically invade the Land of Israel. This is a huge difference between the Gog's war, in which Gog and his armies, including Iran, will attack Israel in the Land of Israel, and the war between Israel and Iran, initiated by Israel's attack for existential survival, and the battles has been fought on the territory of Iran. The Prophet says that the primary purpose of Gog's invasion is "to take spoil and seize plunder, to carry off silver and gold, to make off with livestock and goods, to gather an immense booty" (Ez: 38:12-13). Here is the assumption that "Iran-Gog gains nothing economically from attacking Israel."

But the most important reasons that today's war between Israel and Iran is not the war of Gog from the Land of Magog are: 1. Israel, all of them, must dwell in secure and safety, in unwalled towns, lacking bars and gates. Is Israel truly living in security and safety? Far from it! The neighboring Arab-Muslim states have continued threatening Israel's existence and aiming for its destruction since the tiny country was born. Israel literally imprisons itself behind walls and fences. By no means has Israel dwelt in safety; it has become a defensive fortress among "evil neighbors" (Jeremiah 12:14-17). The hordes of Gog and Magog will attack Israel right at the beginning of the Messianic Age, when the Israelites are most vulnerable: "I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates" (Ezekiel 38: 8, 11-12).

2. All the Twelve Tribes (the whole House of Jacob) are gathered in the Promised Land; 3. The Messiah, son of David, is revealed; 4. It is amazing how those 'prophets', in predicting the timing of the Gog's war, disregard the words of the true prophet Ezekiel as well as the opinion of the sage Maimonides, the greatest authority of Rabbinical Law and Tradition who said that, "The plain meaning of the words of the prophets seems to indicate that the war of Gog and Magog will take place at the beginning of the Messianic Era" (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Hilkhos Menachem 12:2). 5. The War of Gog and Magog will start shortly after the Messiah's arrival. All the kings of the world will get together to fight Moshiach. Here are additional sources confirming that the future war of Gog from the land of Magog is the Messianic one: "After Moshiach comes, a major war will be instigated against Israel, as mentioned in the Holy Zohar (Shemos 7b), and in Parashas Vayaira (119a) and Toldos (139). This is the War of Gog and Magog spoken about in Yechezkel (38, 39), and Zechariah (14), as well as in Midrash Tehillim (Mizmor 118:9).

Since the Messiah has not yet come, the House of Israel has not reunited and not lived in safety, and the Messianic Era has not begun, how is it remotely possible that the Gog and Magog War have already started?

Note: I. The author wonders why there is no mention of the nations of the Moabites, Ammonites, Egyptians, Philistines, Midianites or Amalekites as the participants of Gog's war. The answer is given in Psalm 83 and Isaiah 11:14. Those surrounding Israel aggressive murderous Arab and Islamo-nazi nations will be soundly defeated and subjugated by IDF much long before commencing of the Gog's war, as it is explicitly point out in Zechariah 12:6, "The House of Judah (means Jews, not Israel of 12 Tribes!) shall devour the all people roundabout: on the right hand and on the left hand." Ezekiel's mandatory condition of Gog's attack, when Israel dwells in peace and safety (Ezekiel 38: 8, 11-12), would be possible only if the Israelis successfully used "the fist of God's judgments" to defeat their neighbor-enemies and enlarge their territory to the Biblical borders. The wars of Psalm 83 will make these goals possible.

II. Instead of connecting ongoing war between Israel and Iran to Ezekiel 38, 39 War of Gog from the Land of Magog, which is significantly contradict the words of the God's prophet and opinions of the sages, I would strongly recommend to consider the prophecy of Jeremiah 49:34-39. This prophetic event just began a few days ago by Israelis attacking Iran and destroying some nuclear facilities, intercontinental ballistic missiles and its launches, that is, "bow of Elam=Persia" (Jeremiah 49:34-35). But this prophecy is not completed, the same way as the current war is still not finished. Iran will "push" against Israel, USA, and the West, which could be materialized in grave terrorist attacks like 9-11 in New-York or October 7 in Israel. Radical suicidal Islamic fanatics would not hesitate to use the most powerful biological or nuclear WMD to take with them as many millions of human beings as possible, because they do not value life but glorify death. They also threaten in the most unambiguous manner to block the Strait of Hormuz and cut-off Saudi oil supplies which account for 40% of the world's oil flow. There are many various ways Iran could 'push' against Israel and its allies. That is why the prophecy says, "I shall bring four winds against Elam=Persia from the four quarters of heaven, and scatter them to all those winds. There shall be no nation to which the fugitives from Elam=Persia do not come" (Jeremiah 49:36). So, according to this prophecy, Israel and its allies will attack Iran from many places. There will be a nuclear holocaust heavy radioactive contamination of the land and water. The past nuclear disasters of Chernobyl and Fukushima would not even be comparable. The Iranian people will be scattered all over the world. "I will set My throne in Elam=Persia, and wipe out their king and officials, says HaShem." Ayatollahs and its tyrannical bloody regime will be gone. That is exactly what Jeremiah (49:34-39) says.
