We looked up the surname Gangte.
Gangte people
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is the name of one of the Zo tribes.
Zo peopleFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Zo, also known as the Mizo, the Kuki, the Chin, the Zomi and a number of other names, are a large group of related Tibeto-Burman tribal peoples spread throughout the northeastern states of India, northwestern Myanmar (Burma), and the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. In northeastern India, they are present in: Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Assam.
These are the people who claim to be the Bnei Manasseh in the India-Burma borderland region.
A few hundred of them were accepted by the Israeli rabbinate, converted to Judaism, and now live in Israel.
We do not believe they are descended from the Ten Tribes but since they converted in an accepted conversion it is not a matter we wish to be involved in.
The Mizo corroborated with the Japanese in WW2 whereas other Burmese tribes did not.
We see in the letter here above a Mizo personage arguing in favor of the Japanese belonging to the Ten Tribes.
The person is also a Christian. Most of the Mizo are Christians or animists. A few claim to be Hebrews. They have supporters among Jews and Christians in the west. Their supporters usually belong to the same circles who also claim the Japanese to be descended from Israel. [These circles are often quite vehemently opposed to Brit-Am!]
Here we have a Mizo person supporting the Japanese claims.

We agree that DNA going back thousands of years is not reliable.
Nevertheless we have to deal with DNA findings if we wish to convince others, and to confirm our own convictions.
There is also some significance to what the Ancient Israelites looked like.
If we claim that certain peoples descend from Israelite but they look differently from how we understand the Hebrews to have looked then we should try to explain why.
I had children from a woman who is darker than I. When the children were young most of them were blond and fair like I was. As they grew they became darker. People remarked that they did not look like me but I had an explanation.
Firstly, Ysraelites were already a mixed race from the ore-historic days of Moshe. The Bible recorded the instances of Ysraelites married to gentiles women from the neighborhood throughout ancient days. In exile, Ysraelites surely would marry other races through hundreds of years. How could one trace through DNA the origin of people Hebrew Kingdom today? It is impossible.Brit-Am Reply:
You have a point. Y(male derived) DNA may be unreliable BUT the experts still claim it is. We have to take account of the experts to some degree even if future generations will find them to have been totally in error.
We must take note that Ysraelites were commanded to maintain their purity of blood. But this commandment was broken through centuries. Therefore, Ysrael is completely lost today. They cannot be traced by scientific method such as DNA study.Brit-Am Reply:
Secondly, nobody knows the DNA of Abraham to prove his descendants today.
True.
But we have Biblical prophecies. We have historical studies, legends, linguistics, Rabbinical indications. Taking everything together we obtain the outline of a picture that holds together and rings true. This is Brit-Am. We trace the Lost Ten Tribes mainly to groups now found among Western Peoples. This is the truth. This is what we believe in and work to promote.
Thirdly, the identity of Ysraelites cannot be established by scholar research completely. Study on culture and traditions can trace the link in the case of Hebrews. The culture and customs cannot die although the gene may disappear.Brit-Am Reply:
We study culture and customs and in soem cases bring proof from them. BUT they can be easily picked up by conquered (or conquering) and often are.
Regarding the Japanese lady who refuted the origin of Japanese origin to Hebrew ancestry, please ask the Japanese Lady Kino to explain how the thousands of Japanese words not understood in Japanese can be understood in Hebrew? The Japanese scholars themselves identified over 1, 000 words in Japanese that belonged to Hebrew word. The origin of Japanese script is not known. But it can be traced to the writing of paleo Hebrew. How is this possible?Brit-Am Reply:
First of all I do not know how reliable these claims are.
BUT supposing there is something to them.
Indications are that not only the Hebrews but also the Edomites, Ammonites, Moabites, and part of the Phoenician Canaanites, etc, also spoke languages similar to Hebrew. Some of the Hebrews themselves spoke Aramaic or a mixed Hebrew-Aramaic dialect.
Language is a valid indication but not absolute proof.
Please ask the Japanese lady Kino to explain how the stories written in the Torah get reflected in the Japanese folk stories?Brit-Am Reply:
They do not. BUT stories do move from culture to culture after passing through different permutations.
A lot of pagan religions have stories similar to those found in the New Testament. In some cases they may have gotten them from the Christians and in other cases perhaps inspired them.
Please ask the Japanese Lady Kino to explain how such word like 'Praise Yah' is sung in Kumamoto shrine?Brit-Am Reply:
Maybe some of the Edomites and other peoples were influenced by the Hebrews? Maybe not.
Conclusion:Brit-Am Reply:
In order to establish the identity of lost tribes of Israel, the scholar must know the followings:
1. Torah (from Genesis to Revelation)
2.Culture History
3. Human Migration pattern
4. Science and its false theory of evolution
5. Most importantly, the scholar has to be guided by the Ruah HaKodesh and need to be an Ysraelite by bloodline.
The scholar should know as much as possible and be as good as can be,
BUT
it may be that he is not. The final test remains the validity (or lack of it) of his research.

Lastly, Please ask the Japanese lady Kino why are Chinese and Koreans not in good relationship with the Japanese if they share the same gene and heritage as she claims?Brit-Am Reply:
Peoples who to outsiders seem very similar are sometimes the worst of enemies.
It could also be that there is a fundamental difference between the Japanese versus Koreans and Chinese. This does not really prove anything.
Human knowledge alone cannot establish the identity of 12 tribes of Ysrael.

All true knowledge in a sense is from Above.
In the End Times we will have a fair idea as to who the Ten Tribes really are:
"Behold thou art fair, my love, yea pleasant, also our bed is green" (Song of Solomon 1;16).
"Israel says: Behold thou art fair, my love When you will take retribution from the worshippers of idols. Yea pleasant when you pay the reward of those who fear you. Also our bed : These are the Ten Tribes. [In Hebrew bed (or couch) is "eres" while ten is "eser" and uses the same letters, and "our bed" (erseynu) sounds like "our ten" (esereynu).] They are those who were exiled beyond the Sambation River. The exiles of Judah and Benyamin [i.e. the present-day "Jews"] are destined to go unto them and bring them back in order to merit with them the Messianic Era and life in the World-To-Come. This is as it says, "In those days the house of Judah shall go unto the house of Israel and they shall come together out of the land of the north unto the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers" (Jeremiah 3;18).
-Yalkut Shimeoni, Song of Solomon 905.
