Is it ok if I can't forgive Germans for what they did during WW2?
I think it's rooted in their mentality, if it was just some crazy soldiers shooting people I could forgive, but the whole society was involved; The gas chambers were built by a private German companies, engineers, doctors, and companies were involved in organizing war crimes.I would like to forgive.
Answer by Yair Davidiy:
You can forgive or not forgive. Who really cares? Nevertheless, for they who believe in God and understand a little of history then forgiveness is not ours to dispense of.
We are not speaking of something that happened and went away.
I personally lost a few distant relatives whom I never knew, may never have known, and who may not have liked me nor been likable. Still it would have been nice finding out and if not so, then just having them in the same world would have been OK.
Relatives of my mother were killed in Germany by Germans. The sister of my father died at Japanese hands having been taken captive at Singapore in WW2.
The Japanese may be inscrutable orientals of whom perhaps little better should have been expected.
The Germans were however assumed to be like us. There were even those who looked up to them, before that time.
One third of the Jewish people went up the chimney. That is where looking up to such people can get you.
It was however a long time ago relatively speaking.
Even so, even if I had have lost nobody I would not have felt quiet, ever.
Others might have. No-one wants trouble. Offenders come looking for you. You do not need to look for them.
They made AH a kind of idol. The soldiers oath to AH meant more to them than common decency, basic morality, their own lives and the honor of their families.
They kept fighting and killing Jews in the east and the west just for the sake of it.
They did what they did with the backing of their own people and renegade elements in other nations.
The sentiments that caused them to go along that path still exist.
Adolph the catamite was only a figurehead, an excuse to allow raw expression of natural national instinct.
They have not changed nor repented.
13 He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.
Why does the USA keep so much of its military in Germany?
To guard against Russia?
In part, probably so.
But now Russia is no longer such a threat as it once was.
There are 37,704 US soldiers in Germany costing about around US$21 billion per year.Â
So why does Germany not want to pay for the US soldiers to remain there?
Why does the US feel it has to keep its soldiers there?
Would the surrounding nations like to see the US leave?
It is an open secret that the US has to stay there because Germany cannot be trusted on its own.
That is also one of the motivational factors for the EU. To try and keep Germany on a leash.
Why do the other countries want Germany on a leash?
Now the Germans are fat, satisfied, complacent, and self-consuming. They have even taken to not having babies and therefore keeping their numbers down.
How long will it go on like this?
On the other hand, Germany has helped Israel diplomatically and supplied aid to Israel. Germany is the largest trading partner of Israel in Europe (and its third-largest overall, after the United States and China). Germany is a major supplier and funder of Israeli arms. The Germans however are survivors:
Konrad Adenauer believed that reaching out to Israel was his nation's only pathway to legitimacy and acceptance by the West. For his part, David Ben-Gurion understood that German investment could help his cash-strapped, fledgling state.
What do the Germans really think?
"20-25% of the German population expresses anti-Semitism when it comes to criticism of Israel," says Dr. Andreas Zick of Bielefeld University.
The federal government's antisemitism report found that the proportion of Germans who agreed with the antisemitic statement increased from 28% in 2014 to 40% in 2016.
The report, which was published on April 24, details in a section titled 'Agreement to Israel-related antisemitism' that 40% of Germans who were polled showed approval for the following statement: 'Based on Israel's policies, I can understand people having something against the Jews.' .... The report also cited the case of Germany's HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Art that taught for years that Israelis harvested Palestinian organs. NGOs such as the German branch of the catholic organization Pax Christi work with the Social Democratic mayor of Jena to boycott Israeli goods.
In other words the Germans do not like Jews. The Germans spread malicious mendacious blood libels about Jews.
German businesses help the Iranian nuclear program.
The whole world fears Germany and Germany teaches the world to hate Jews. Germany helps the enemies of Israel prepare themselves to attempt the destruction of Israel.
Historically in Nazi Germany one did not have to hate Jews to kill them.
It was what everybody did, what was expected of one so one went along. [Many however found themselves enjoying it.] This attitude is still the rule in German society.
12 Thus says the LORD GOD, Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred grievous guilt, and avenged themselves upon them, 13 therefore thus says the LORD GOD, I will also stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off man and beast from it. And I will lay it waste; from Teman even to Dedan they will fall by the sword. 14 I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. Therefore, they will act in Edom according to My anger and according to My wrath; thus they will know My vengeance, declares the LORD GOD.
