Malta

From what I read the idea of using the paratroopers against the Allies in North Africa did not come up. They did however consider using it to conquer Malta. The Isle of Malta is an island in the Mediterranean through which the British were facilitated in resupplying their forces in North Africa and in interfering with supplies to the Axis. Hitler however was attached to his paratroopers. He had used them to gain a victory in Crete but the losses had been heavy and he did not want to go through that again.
