Secularism in Modern Hebrew is 'hiloniyut' or 'chiloniyut' depending how it is pronounced.
Why the Secularists chose that word for their attitude is puzzling.
It is derived from the word "Chalal" meaning "desecrate, profane, besmirch, impair, make unfit and unworthy" and cognate with "chalel" denoting emptiness.
Adherents of Secularism per se in Israel are a small minority.
