In Hebrew the â€œ-ahâ€ suffix may connote the feminine form. For instance one has â€œSarâ€ meaning â€œlord, princeâ€ and â€œSarahâ€ meaning â€œlady, princess.â€
There is also the name â€œYahâ€ (or â€œYahuâ€) meaning â€œGodâ€. This may be added to the end of names. We thus have the names Yishaiyahu (i.e. Isaiah) meaning â€œGod Saves;â€ and Nehemiyah (Nehemiah) meaning â€œGod Comforts.â€
