Is the re-establishment of Israel after 2,000 years, and the return of millions of Jews to the Holy Land evidence of God, and the truth of the Jewish Scriptures?
The question was:
Is the re-establishment of Israel after 2,000 years, and the return of millions of Jews to the Holy Land evidence of God, and the truth of the Jewish Scriptures?
The re-establishment of Israel after 2,000 years, and the return of millions of Jews to the Holy Land is consistent with Biblical Prophecies. It proves that the Bible speaks to us today and that what is written in it is pertinent to us. How things will turn out we shall see.Â
God is with the Jewish People but we should do HIS will. This may be an opportunity for us but it is not necessarily unconditional. The Bible speaks of the Jews returning. The Rabbis commenting on the Bible and tradition also spoke of it. The chances are that this is it. Every day miracles happen to help the Jewish People and the State of Israel. We need to open our eyes and live accordingly. We forget things and overlook them and take them for granted. God wants us to succeed both spiritually and materially. We should do what we can to do so.
Isaiah (NASB) 66:
5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word:
Your brothers who hate you, who exclude you for My name’s sake,
Have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy.’
But they will be put to shame.
6 A voice of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple,
The voice of the LORD who is rendering recompense to His enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth;
Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy.
8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things?
Can a land be born in one day?
Can a nation be brought forth all at once?
As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.
Deuteronomy (NASB) 30:
1 So it shall be when all of these things have come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind in all nations where the LORD your God has banished you, 2 and you return to the LORD your God and obey Him with all your heart and soul according to all that I command you today, you and your sons, 3 then the LORD your God will restore you from captivity, and have compassion on you, and will gather you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered you. 4 If your outcasts are at the ends of the earth, from there the LORD your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you back. 5 The LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.
4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.
See Jeremiah ch.31.
There are sources that predicted the establishment of the State of Israel and the possibility of being (God Forbid) temporarily overran by the Arabs. We were warned in advance.
Numbers (KJV) 33:
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
