#3. Dark element among the Welsh
Craig White:
#... we have the Gog and Magog undulating chalk hills near
Cambridge, Gog Magog rock carvings in the Prescelly Hills,
Pembrokeshire, giant earthworks bearing this name in Somerset, an oak
forest in North Hampshire called by this name, a similar forest in
Glastonbury and of course we have the famous two statues known as Gog
and Magog in the Guildhall, London which were erected centuries ago, hit
by an air raid in 1940 but replaced in 1953. Indeed, according to one
author
"In the Welsh language the word for north is Gogledd, pronounced Gogleth
. Magog means very big, great".

Yair,
Chinese friends of mine have told me that westerners, presumably British
and Americans, are referred to in China as "red-headed devils".

Subject: Who were the Sea Peoples?
...the Philistines are related etymologically to the Pelasgians, the native
population of Greece, said to have been displaced by the invading Danaans,
usually identified with the Denyen, mentioned in the records of Ramses III.
According to Greek mythology, the Danaans themselves were of Phoenician or
Egyptian origin. ...
A number of sites counted among the conquests of the Sea Peoples, are
identical with those known to have been accomplished by the Israelites.
Among them, Dor, on the coast of Palestine, mentioned in Joshua 12:23, taken
by the Sikils in the twelfth century, and Aphek mentioned in Joshua 12:18.
Even the Trojan War itself may have been a conflict between Israelites and
Hittites. ...The ancient city was located in the region known
as the land of Troy, or Troas, within which was also found, just several
kilometers to the north, the city of Abydos, named after another city by the
same name in Egypt, that had formerly been the capital of the Hyksos.

#3. Finland first settled by only 1000 people?
In "Genes, Peoples, and languages", by luigi Lucca Cavalli-Sforza
(UK, 2001), it says (p.154):
"there is genetic evidence that the original farmers who settled in Finland
perhaps 2,000 years ago were a very small population, perhaps 1,000 or so.
This is inferred from strong evidence of genetic drift, especially for
certain genetic diseases.
The new settlers probably joined a good number of native inhabitants, and
peaceful contact with them helped the immigrants settle and spread. The process was
facilitated by learning the natives' language, and eventually adopting it. Most likely
there was little genetic exchange between the two".

3. US hero: Hiram (or Harry) Bingham, IV
http://www.britam.org/now/now126.html
In defiance of his bosses in Washington, he granted over 2,500 UA visas to Jewish
and other refugees, including the artists Marc Chagall and Max Ernst
and the family of the writer Thomas Mann. He also sheltered Jews in
his Marseille home, and obtained forged identity papers to help Jews
in their dangerous journeys across Europe. He worked with the French
underground to smuggle Jews out of France into Franco's Spain or
across the Mediterranean and even contributed to their expenses out of
his own pocket.
In 1941, Washington lost patience with him. He was sent to Argentina,
where, later. he continued to annoy his superiors by reporting on the
movements of Nazi war criminals. Eventually, he was forced out of the
American diplomatic service completely.
Bingham died almost penniless in 1988.

Subject: The Scythians worshipped a figure called Aspourgos
Dear Sir,
I am currently in the process of preparing a paper where I seek to trace
the origin of the Danes by following the instructions given by Snorri
Sturlason in Heimskringla (the chronicle of the Norwegian Kings).
Briefly I argue that Asgard is situated by lake Balkhash on the river Lli
east of Lake Issykyl in Kazakhstan. From here Odin and the Asir people move
west and settle on the Tana River by the Sea of Asov and with ?great
possessions? held by Odin south of the Caucasus Mountains. From here they
move north via Saxland and on to Odensey (today Odense on the island of
Funen, Denmark).
When the Asir people arrive in Denmark the Asir name had become the royal
lineage (as we see already with the Kings/Tzars of the Bosporus Kingdom in
Aspurg and his father Asander) and the tribe itself had become the Tani
people because of their control of the Tana River. On the early rune stones
in Denmark the spelling 'Tani' is used for the Danes.

2. Phoenician Boats = Viking longships?
I recently came across a work in Hebrew by
Zevi Herman an Israeli authority on ancient shipping and author of a book
("Amin, Yamim, Oniot", written in 1962) on the subject.
Herman believed that the ancient Israelites were involved in Phoenician
sailing enterprises. He stated that Phoenician
ships reached Britain and Cornwall and possibly also the Baltic Sea in
northern Europe.
Herman said that the Phoenician small long range ship (known to the Greeks
as "Hyppo", i.e. the "horse") is in effect almost identical in both
structure and appearance with the later Viking longship of Scandinavia. The
"Hyppo" had the carved head of horse at the front and the tail of a fish at
the rear. He has illustrations proving his point showing the similariy
between Viking ships and Phoenician ones.

1. Theodor Opatowski: Israelites in Cornwall and King Alfred
Subject: Re: Brit-Am Now"-196
In his book " The Jews of South-West England" Rabbi Dr. Susser Gives the earliest history of the
Jews in Cornwall and he connects them with the voyages of the Phoenicians
from Tyre and Sidom in search of the tin and lead that was mined there (and
is still mined there). ... Rabbi Susser quotes numerous Israelite connections to
Cornwall including ancient place names and the similarity of the local
Celtic language.
...And suddenly King Alfred turned into a merciful if not magnanimous statesman
sending his enemies away from the battlefield with gifts. He then
strengthened his kingdom and particularly the navy and negotiated a
political boundary with the Danes. But more importantly he set up a system
of law. To quote Churchill;
"King Alfred's book of laws, or Dooms, as set out in existing laes of Kent,
Wessex and Mercia attempted to blend the Mosaic code with Christian
principles and old German [Anglo-Saxon] customs. The laws of Alfred,
continually amplified by his successors, grew into that body of customary
law administered by the shire and hundred courts [captains of hundreds?]
which, under the name of the laws of St. Edward (the confessor), the Norman
Kings undertook to respect and out of which ... the common law was founded."
In other words Mosaic law, the Torah, is the basis that Alfred put into
English law to this day and British law is very close indeed to the Bible
and the Mishnah. [For example the smallest legal entity is a peppercorn in
both legal systems and they do not grow pepper in England.] Where could
King Alfred have got the 'Mosaic code' from except from the influence of
tribe of Asher when Cornwall joined Wessex? And it is this element of Torah
that has given success to the English speaking peoples ever since.
