The symbol of Ephraim is a bull-calf called "aegel" in Hebrew:

The connection between the British Isles and the Eastern Med[iterranean Sea] is relevant to study of the ANE [Ancient Near East].
The beaker peoples (two different types of beakers: corded ware in central Europe, uncorded in Cornwall, etc.) date to the third millennium in Britain. The association of the peoples of the Iberia Peninsula with Britain was pretty much accepted before World War II from the distribution of the corded and non-corded ware. Encyclopedias include matter of fact comments about commerce between Britain and the Eastern Med by 2500 BCE. Scholars studying the Early Christian Church had long ago become suspicious of the mass Celtic invasion from Central Europe premise [Davies, 1992; Meyr-Harting, 1991; Sims-Williams, 1990].
Both Cunliffe and McEvoy et al certainly would explain the pre-historic architectural archaeological evidence of contact and interaction by sea route [Hamlin, 1953]. They also explain the linguistic evidence that *Old Irish* [NOT "Anglo-Saxon"] incorporates non Indo-European syntax and vocabulary, as well as linguistic evidence in the non-IE names of sites in Cornwall, Wales, etc. (e.g. Tintagal). In fact, it explains much of the findings discussed in Edwards and Lane [1992].
While most points, e.g. the mass emigration from Mercia to Gallacia in Spain [??], would fit nicely into the Phoencian/Iberian trans-shipment model proposed by Cunliffe, not all can. The greatest anomaly is that there is a clear "Mediterranean" presence in the area -- all pointing to contact between the (generic) Phoenicians and the British Isles over a very, very long period of time.
For example:
- At least four different "Christianities" were in Britain centuries before Augustine the Lesser arrived in 596: two came by the sea route; one came from France across the channel to what is now Scotland, and one was home grown (Pelagianism).
[Brit-Am Comment: Pelagianism in effect accepted Judaism as a viable alternative. This was "home grown"?]
- A distinctive Christian burial formula (hic jacet) that is found at sites known to have been settled by Phoenicians (Sardinia, Tunisia, Balearics, Cadiz. etc.) -- and is found up and down the West coast of Britain and the Atlantic coast of France - precisely in the areas that are mapped in the mtDNA study.

- Then, the Phoenician heavy cargo/ore carriers described in the MT (Ezek 27:35) and elsewhere were so large that they were proverbial for "enormous" by the time of Isaiah (Isa. 2:16; Ezek. 27:25) in the 9th -9th BCE. These ships are associated with metal in Isa. 60:9 and Ezek. 27:25, and as heavy cargo carriers for Solomon, crewed by Phoenicians, (1 Kings 9:26-27). [Albright, 1961; Parpola, 1970]. These distinctive ore-cargo ships appear to have been known to the Britons.

According to an article in today's The Guardian Newspaper, Great Britain secretly supplied the 20 tons of heavy water to Israel nearly half a century ago which enabled it to make nuclear weapons. According to the report the BBC Newsnight reporter Meirion Jones found a number of declassified files in an obscure Foreign Office counter-proliferation archive, which were lying unnoticed in the public records office. According to the files officials in the MacMillan government deliberately concealed the transaction from the U.S. The fullpage Guardian article goes on to say that, the deal was concealed from the U.S., which was hostile to proliferation, because the Eisenhower administration might have insisted on unacceptable conditions which would have scuppered the sale. When Robert McNamara became U.S. defence secretary in 1961, he and President Kennedy strived to stop Israel from going on to build nuclear weapons. He told Newsnight last night that he had never known of Britain's behaviour at the time. "The fact Israel was trying to develop a nuclear bomb should not have come as a surprise to me," he said.
"It's very surprising to me that we weren't told because we shared information about the nuclear bomb very closely with the British."
Britain had got the heavy water from Norway for its own military purposes, but then chose a different technological route making the material surplus to requirement. Norway refused to cancel the heavy water contract, and it must have been tempting for those in charge of budgets to get their money back. The cover story was that the heavy water was "understood to be required by Israel for peaceful use in a reactor connected with desert irrigation".
Accordingly, in June 1959, and again the following June, two lots of heavy water of 10 tons each were, according to a note by Alan Brooke-Turner, then first secretary at the Foreign and Colonial Office in charge of disarmament, "put on board Israeli ships at a UK port" and shipped out to Dimona.
It certainly is a most remarkable revelation and without a doubt one of the best kept secrets of the 20th century. I felt it was worth sharing this information with Brit Am readers and supporters in that it provides yet another indication as to how Hashem used Ephraim, alias Great Britain, not only to instigate the very conception of the Jewish State, but also helped her subsequently to steal the most strategic military march on her enemies.

Emmet Sweeney has his own theories. I have read very little of his material
and there may well be many points on which we do not agree.
Nevertheless, concerning "megalithic" monuments. Sweeney is correct in dating them to the Late Bronze-Early Iron Ages.
He may well be right in other matters.

So there we have it, from the pen of one of the most respected British archaeologists. The late Neolithic was in fact contemporary with the Beaker/Early Bronze; yet the Early Bronze is itself indistinguishable from the Late Bronze Age (and presumably also the early Iron Age).
We are therefore on fairly secure ground when we declare that the first megaliths, and probably the majority of them, were erected in the 9th and 8th centuries BC. by Celtic-speaking peoples, from various parts of Europe, who arrived in the wake of the final series of cosmic upheavals and climatic disturbances. That these settlers were mainly peasant farmers who employed stone tools for most of their needs says absolutely nothing about their language or ethnic grouping.

The opinion exists that amongst the "Jews" of today there exists at least a small minority of all the tribes
(Tosafot, Arachin, 32;a) although Nachmanides (Sager HaGeulah p.273) emphasized that (in his opinion)
even these were dominated by Ephraim and Manasseh.
Nachamnides quoted the Midrash Seder Olam that in the time of Ezra the number of they who returned from Babylon was given
as 42,360 (Ezra 2:64) whereas the detailed family lists (all of which pertain to Judah, Benjamin, and Levi)
only 30,000 are mentioned (actually Ezra 29,000 Nehemiah 32,000) the rest being the mixed remnants from
the Ten Tribes who had remained with Judah. These remnants however were subservient to Judah
and considered as part of Judah since their individual tribal expression was meant to be fulfilled
with the rest of the Ten Tribes in exile.
...In Kuntillet Ajrud much to the south of Judah in the Tribal Region of Simeon an inscription and illustration from Ancient Israelite times has been found. It depicts and mentions "Yahwah of Samaria and his Asherah". The inscription uses the dialect of Northern Israel and pottery found in the area has characteristics of the Northern Kingdom. Samaria was one of the capitals of Northern Israel and possibly its most important city. "Samaria" is a term applied to the Northern Kingdom of Israel in general in the same way as "Jerusalem" is sometimes used to represent all of Judah. The inscription therefore indicates Northern Israelite religious practices in the Simeon area and political subservience to "Israel" in the north.
THE EXILE OF SIMEON
AMONGST THE TEN TRIBES
The Bible relates that the Assyrians after having attacked, conquered, destroyed and exiled all of the northern Lost Tribes also attacked the territory of Judah:
"Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah and took them" (2-Kings 18:13).
In an inscription Sennacherib speaks of capturing forty-six fenced cities and of carrying away to Assyria 200,150 people from the region of Judah. Jewish tradition relates that due to Sennacherib capturing "all the fenced cities" a large portion of the Kingdom of "Judah" including most of Simeon also went into the Assyrian exile. These were lost together with the northern Ten Tribes of Israel. . The sources emphasize that those lost to Judah encompassed the overwhelming majority of the people of Simeon. Most of Simeon indeed were exiled and are to be counted as amongst the Lost Ten Tribes. This is confirmed by early Medieval Rabbinical Tradition (see M. GASTER, translator of "The Chronicles of Jerahmiel, ca. 1100 1150 c.e.," New York 1971).

After the British, came the Americans who supported the state of Israel politically, morally, economically, and militarily. You will remember that Moses sent 12 spies (one from each tribe) to spy out the land before entering it

In fact these waterways still exist and are in use. Recently, a British company wanted to get two new large anchor handling tugs built in Britain out to the Caspian Sea for work in Azerbaijan. One went the north route and came down by the Volga, and the other went via the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, so yes there are inland waterways linking the Mediterranean to Britain. The Volga does not go via Ukraine, but these were big ships and I have no doubt that smaller vessels could go via the Dnepr to Kiev, which is in the Ukraine, and onward from there. I believe there is some record of Vikings from Scandinavia using this route to the Mediterranean.

The Medieval Commentator Radak (Kimchi) quotes ('Safer HaShorashim') another authority (Rabbi Moshe Cohen) as saying that 'Gad' was the name given by the Arabs to the planet Jupiter. Gad could be pronounced as 'God' and is the source of the word 'god' in English.
AND THAT FURNISH THE DRINK OFFERING UNTO THAT NUMBER.
NUMBER: in Hebrew 'Mani' which was also the name of a god, i.e. they were preparing a table for the god 'Gad' and drink for the god 'Mani'.

We see from the quote of Hislop that the worship of Mani was practised amongst the Scandinavians (Edda), Saxons and Scottish as well as amongst other peoples.
Gothic for "moon" is 'mena', cognate with Icelandic 'mani'
It should be added that the name we use for the "Moon" is derived from the word "Mani" who was god of the moon
who was one of the deities that our erring ancestors went after when they abandoned the God of Israel.

The study in effect says that the Thuringians were in effect Tervingi Goths who migrated from
the Black Sea area to Central Germany. This occurred over a period of time but culminated in the
400s CE. They were federated with Warnians (Varni), Anglians (Angli)
and Suebians (Nordsuavi), and other groups who evidently migrated with them
and shortly afterwards participated in the Anglo-Saxon invasions of England.

An additional note on the program says:
