Yehonatan Davidiy is the son of Yair Davidiy. Yehonatan served in a special frontline unit in the IDF. He is married with children and lives in the south of Israel. He now works as a youth counsellor and is in the course of completing his Rabbinical Examinations.
The article  is translated from the Hebrew. It was written for Jews from a Jewish Biblical-Rabbinical perspective. Nevertheless the article offers us an insight into major Biblical Themes and contains a message that is also pertinent to the Lost Tribes of Israel.
The article stresses the need for Israelites who dwell in the Land to keep the Commandments and also mentions different Tribal Inheritances.

Within the Land itself there are different levels of holiness and varying regions that influence their inhabitants in different ways. For this reason the Almighty made each of the Tribal Inheritances to be specifically compatible to the Tribal Characteristics of the Tribe that would possess it.

Identical Petroglyphs in Norway and Azerbaijan
It may not be pure coincidence that the ship petroglyphs that the early Azeri depicted while navigating on the Caspian Sea and up the Russian rivers are identical to those of the ancestors of the Vikings along the fjords of Norway millennia later. In Scandinavia, there are two different types of boat petroglyphs, both well represented in Norway. One is similar to those at Gobustan and is drawn as a simple sickle-shaped line which forms the base of the ship with vertical lines on deck to illustrate crew or raised oars.

Famous "Foldable Boats"
The other ship type probably represents a "skin boat" with a rather short and bulky hull and an interior framework of wood, appearing on the petroglyphs as if viewed from outside. Such a boat is mentioned in early Norwegian sagas written down by the Icelander, Snorre Sturlason, before his death in 1241, (Snorri, The Sagas of the Viking Kings of Norway. English translation: J. M. Stenersens Forlag, Oslo 1987). According to the saga, the Viking kings descended from Odin, an immigrant hierarch who came in a vessel called Skithblathnir (Skidbladner) which could be folded together like a cloth. Odin came from the land of the "Aser", and is, therefore, frequently referred to as "Asa-Odin". The legendary land of the people known as Aser is given a very exact location in Snorre's saga as east of the Caucasus mountains and the Black Sea.

From there, according to the same saga, Odin, owner of the foldable boat migrated with all his people northwestwardly through Russia, Saxland, and Denmark into Sweden where he died and lay buried in a huge funerary mound at Sigtuna. Asa-Odin's saga with his boat and his itinerary has been considered by Nordic historians as a myth concocted in medieval times, although they consider the Nordic people as Caucasians. But, perhaps, Odin's boat may indicate that the land of the Aser really lay by the Caspian Sea east of the Caucasus. In fact, in the 5th century B.C., the Greek historian, Herodotus, described such marvelous foldable boats used precisely in the area referred to in Asa-Odin's saga as the home of the Aser, namely the land of the present day Azeri and Armenians.

In this area, Herodotus wrote, traveling merchants used boats built with a framework of wood and canes covered with skin, and of such great size that they carried one or more donkeys in addition to crew and cargo. They navigated down river to Babylonia where they sold their merchandise and the framework (wood), then they folded the skins and loaded them on the donkeys for their return upstream in preparation for the next voyage.

We feel that Ephraimites in the West and especially in the USA should make an appeal along the following lines:
To the US President, Government officials and Representatives, etc. and to Heads of State and Public Leaders in the West:
Our forefathers founded this nation and determined its character and guiding principles.
Despite the fact that we have opened our doors to other peoples and accorded them equal rights of citizenship as ourselves we still should merit to be heard on fundamental matters concerning the destiny of our nation.
Even today many, if not most, of the leading figures of our nation in all fields of public and private enterprise come from our ranks.
The same applies to other Western Nations such as the UK, Eire, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland,Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
All other European Nations as well as several outside of Europe have also been blessed by our presence.
Based on Biblical Prophecy supplemented by secular studies we believe we are descended from the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel.
The Jews of Judah in the Diaspora and in the State of Israel are our fellow Israelites.
The State of Israel is the beginning of REDEMPTION for all of us.
The security and well-being of The State of Israel is vital for all of us.
The areas of Judea  and Samaria (the West Bank), as well as the Sinai, and Gaza should be firmly under the control of the State of Israel  and Jewish settlement strongly encouraged in these regions.
Steps should be taken to find an alternative place of abode for all the Palestinian Arab population.
So too, our governments should take steps to establish enclaves under Western Control in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Cyprus.
We, the "Ephraimite" populations, should be encouraged to settle in these enclaves, develop them, and link them to the State of Israel.
One of the aims of these enclaves will be to heal the land and place it on a sounder ecological base by preventing soil erosion and taking steps to increase and improve the regional water supply through re-afforestation and related measures.
Our impression is that if such steps were taken a blessing would come on all our peoples and all the world.
The blessing would be felt not only in the spiritual sense but also economically and physically.

Brit-Am would like with the help of its subscribers to expand on the above developing it into a full-sized article that would be advertised prominently on the Brit-Am web-site and wherever else possible.

The Fomorians are represented as a race of giants, and were celebrated as having been great builders in stone. Megalithic monuments in Western Europe could not have been constructed at an earlier date than the Late Bronze-Early Iron Ages due to  the following reasons.
(a) Population Manpower Requirements. They needed people to erect them and appreciate them.
(b) Technological Prowess Needed to put them up.
(c) Archaeological Findings Indicating Bronze and Iron Age Construction
(d) Length of Year Change and Astronomical Alignments in Accordance with Present Calendar.

Since May of 1990 I have been studying the 3 lands of the Genesis 15:19 Promise Land that the OT Israelites did not inherit as Deuteronomy 7:1 confirms that they only inherited the 7 lands of Canaan described in Genesis 15:20-21. ...

My point is this:  The Promise Land grant to Abraham's seed had to include a greater land area of inheritance than the Genesis 15:20-21/Deuteronomy 7:1 land area--as in David-Solomons time the boundaries (Numbers 34:1-12) were expanded to the Euphrates River and embraced a land area of approximately 30-40,000 square miles, or a land area the size of Ohio or Iowa!  THIS LAND AREA SIMPLY COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE THE FUTURE  "A NATION/COMPANY OF NATIONS"!-  Thus the Genesis 15:19 Promise Land had to be a large land area to accommodate and thus fulfill God's promises to the seed of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the birthright tribes of Joseph who would: "...grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth" with Ephraim becoming a "multitude of nations" and/or the "fullness of the nations of Israel."

I am convinced that there is a strong possibility that the three lands of Genesis 15:19 are the same three lands of Eden described in Genesis 2:8-14.  I offer the following in support thereof.

(1) Genesis 2:8-14 describes three lands in Eden, to wit; the Garden, Havilah and Cush, all watered by great rivers that encompassed the whole lands thereof. The unnamed river watering the Garden could not have divided into 4 heads as the headwaters are at the beginning of a river; Havilah was known for the Pishon River that encompassed the whole land known for its "good gold"; The Gihon river watered the whole land of Cush.  Since Cush is known to be the land watered by the Nile (Gihon) River river that encompassed most of Africa, Eden had to be a large land area with no connection to the Tigris-Euphrates River in Babylon (Fertile Crescent);  Also these three lands of Eden apparently to be contiguous as the 4 rivers connecting them so requires, with the Euphrates River being a boundary line; Genesis 4:16 is proof that the Pangaea earth was divided into two parts, to wit: Eden and Nod with the dividing boundary line being the Euphrates River.  More importantly, Havilah known for its "good gold" (only "Ophir" is known for its "good gold") is the key to identifying Eden's Havilah as it could well be South America with the Pishon River (means "fast moving") being the Amazon River--see (3) below where the land of Ophir and Sheba strongly indicate the land of Havilah was only reached by the navies of Hiram and Solomon.

It is known that up until 3000-3500 B.C. the vast Sahara desert was a lush garden with large rivers and vast inland lakes; when the continents of North and South America separated (secular scientists call this the "continental drift") from Africa the rainfall patterns were greatly reduced and the counter clock rainfall pattern no longer swept over Arabia and across the Sahara, and the clockwise rainfall pattern above the Equator no longer gave the Sahara a second dose of rainfall; and as both the continents were separated and continued to move away and from Cush-Africa-- over the next 1000 years the Sahara gradually became the vast desert is is today and in Abraham and Jacob's time the earth's oxygen content was again reduced and their lifespans were accordingly lowered!

(3) I Kings 9-10 record (also repeated in 2 Chronicles 8:17-18, 9:1-12 & 9:21) that in Solomon's time King Hiram  of Tyre helped Solomon to build a fleet of ships, and their joint-navies sailed to the land of Ophir for its "good gold" as cited above--THEIR VOYAGES TOOK 3 YEARS--meaning they had to sail to the land of Havilah known for the "good gold" of Ophir! 

(4) Ezekiel 26-28 is a record of the vast commercial empire of the Phoenician-Israelite  Empire and its impact upon the earth in Solomon's time; I was amazed to find that verse 28:13 records that Tyre's navies had sailed to the Garden in Eden when it is disclosed: "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God..."--MEANING THE GARDEN IN EDEN COULD ONLY BE REACHED BY BOAT, THUS THE GARDEN COULD WELL HAVE BEEN IN NORTH AMERICA AND THE RIVER WATERING THE GARDEN WAS THE VAST MISSISSIPPI THAT HAS FOUR HEADS, TO WIT; the ARKANSAS, RED, MISSOURI and OHIO RIVERS!

(6) While Numbers 34:1-12 described the boundaries of Israel before their removal in 722 and 586 B.C., a close examination of Ezekiel 47:15-20 will show that the east boundary of the new inheritance and boundary plan for post-removed 12 tribes of Israel is different, however, more significant is the east-west boundaries appear to be symbolic of the whole post-Peleg earth and the boundary location of the different tribes differs significantly from the boundaries in Joshua's time.  This has to have significance if you give credence to Abraham being the ":father of many nations" and Jacob becoming "a nation and a company of nations."  Note that Joseph shall have two portions to inherit that are of equal size and Ezekiel 48:5 has Manasseh north of Ephraim divided by an east-west boundary.  Isn't it strange that Canada is north of America; they have a common east-west boundary; and they are of equal size (each about 3.6-7 million sq. mi. [or 7.2 Million sq. mi.]) that makes up 15% of the earth's 50 Million sq. mi.--rich in agricultural lands, natural resources as described in Jacob's Blessing (Genesis 49:22-26) and Mose's Blessing (Deuteronomy 33:13-17? Isn't it equally as strange that America's population (300+ Million) is ten times Canada's (30+/- Million)?

The article Was North America promised to Abraham? was interesting. I was expecting a comment.

Brit-Am Comment:
Abraham was promised that his seed would inherit the Lands of the 10 Ten Nations of Canaan.
When the Israelites later entered the Promised Land they in effect dispossessed only 7 nations.
The question is, What Happened to the other three?
The curse of Canaan:
[Genesis 9:24] AND NOAH AWOKE FROM HIS WINE, AND KNEW WHAT HIS YOUNGER SON HAD DONE  UNTO HIM.                   
 
[Genesis 9:25] AND HE SAID, CURSED BE CANAAN; A SERVANT OF SERVANTS SHALL HE BE UNTO HIS  BRETHREN.                   

The Descendants of Canaan:

Here we have Twelve Names mentioned. Canaan gave rise to twelve sons parallel to the 12 Tribes of Israel.
"Canaan" according to tradition is both the name of the whole people as well as that of a major tribe amongst the people.
    
The Ten Tribes of Canaan Promised to Abraham:
[Genesis 15:18] IN THE SAME DAY THE LORD MADE A COVENANT WITH ABRAM, SAYING, UNTO THY SEED HAVE I GIVEN THIS LAND, FROM THE RIVER OF EGYPT UNTO THE GREAT RIVER, THE RIVER EUPHRATES:                   
 
[Genesis 15:19] THE KENITES, AND THE KENIZZITES, AND THE KADMONITES,                   
 
[Genesis 15:20] AND THE HITTITES, AND THE PERIZZITES, AND THE REPHAIMS,

These ten nations with the names of ancestors in Brackets were:
Kenites
Kenizzites
Kadmonites

Girgashites (Girgasite)
Jebusites (Jebusite)

(1) We have Arkite, Hivite, Sinite, Arvadite, Zemarite, Hamathite.
(2) These are Parallel to Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Perizzites, Rephaims, Sidonites.
We do not know for sure which of those listed in line (1) are identical to those which of the specific nations in line (2)
only that they do match each other.
Rephaim and Hivites appear to be interchangeable with each other.
<< Rabbi Dostai in the name of Rabbi Shmuel bar Nachman said, Since it is not mentioned here
(Genesis 15:18-21) the Hivites the Rephaim are recalled in their place (Gen Rab 44:23).

From Line (2)
The Perizzites and Rephaims were to be found in the Land of Canaan in the Land of Joseph (Joshua 17:16)
and also east of the Jordan.
The Sidonites became the Phoenicians of Sidon and probably also of Tyre.

This leaves the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites in line (2) unaccounted for.
These probably parallel (in line 1) the Sinite,  Zemarite, and Arkite though we are not certain.

We see from the above (Genesis 15:18) that the promise to Abraham as far as the Canaanites were concerned is linked to the Land
which stretches from the Nile River to the Euphrates.

Only Seven Nations Were Promised to Israel Under Moses:
Later we find that the Israelites when they came out of Egypt were promised to possess the land of only SEVEN nations of
Canaan:
[Exodus 3:17] AND I HAVE SAID, I WILL BRING YOU UP OUT OF THE AFFLICTION OF EGYPT UNTO THE LAND OF THE CANAANITES, AND THE HITTITES, AND THE AMORITES, AND THE PERIZZITES, AND THE HIVITES, AND THE JEBUSITES, UNTO A LAND FLOWING WITH MILK AND HONEY.                  
We see from the above that seven nations of Canaan were promised to Moses whereas ten nations had been promised to Abraham (Genesis 15:19-21)
and also that there had been 12 nations altogether.

The missing nations are:
THE KENITES, AND THE KENIZZITES, AND THE KADMONITES [Genesis 15:19].  
The Kenites dwelt in the south and in the Land of Midian. Jethro was one of them and some of them converted
and joined the Israelites. Balaam prophesied about them as if their fate was connected to that of Israel
and that they would be found with the Ten Tribes.

The Kennizites are identified by some (Daat Mikra) with the THE SONS OF SEIR THE HORITE [Genesis 36:20]
who were partially exterminated and partially absorbed by the Edomites.

The Kadmonites dwelt to the east of the Euphrates.

We also know from other verses that it was predicted that the Israelites would be in many waters
and possess numerous other lands. It was prophesied that Israelites would reach unto the Ends of the
earth, be rulers of the waves, control all (or most) major strategic thoroughfares, be in the isles, in Tserefat meaning Britain and France, connected with the Atlantic Ocean and with Australia, and the North Country, be a Brit-Am, etc, etc.

We saw from the above that seven nations of Canaan were promised to Moses (Exodus 3:17) whereas ten nations had been promised to Abraham (Genesis 15:19-21) and also that there had been 12 nations altogether (Genesis 10:15-19).

Those Canaanite Nations whom the Israelites conquered were wiped out, or subjugated, or assimilated by Israelites, or fled or were driven out of Canaan.
There are traditions that the Girgashi and some of the Jebusi fled to North Africa and that Canaanites went to Georgia in the Caucasus.
The Hivites have also been identified with Amerindian settlers of Mexico.

It has also been suggested that the Lands later conquered by the Ten Tribes were those that  Canaanites
had settled before them whether these Canaanites were the three extra nations included in the Promise to Abraham
or descendants of the other seven who had fled overseas.
Brit-Am and similar groups identify Australia with the land of Sinim which Isaiah predicted was one of the areas from
which the Ten tribes will return (Isaiah 49:9).

The land of Sinim may be named after the "Sinim" (i.e. Sinites) who were one of the Canaanite nations (Genesis 10:17).
Fred Hendrikson suggested that North America had once pertained to the KENITES, AND THE KENIZZITES, AND THE KADMONITES.
There is evidence that some Israelites may have settled amongst the Amerindians of North America.
There are also strong indications that both North and South America in Ancient Times had  had connections with the Middle East.

Midrash Gen Rab 44:23
# Rabbi Chelbo in the name of Rabbi Abba in the name of Rabbi Yochanan said, Originally the Almighty
intended to bequeath the Children of Israel the Land of Ten Nations [including that of] the Kennites, the Kenizites, and the
Kadmonites (Genesis 15:18-21). In effect HE only gave them seven: The Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites,
the Girgashites, and the Jebusites. There are only seven here...And which are these three that were not given to them?
Rabbi said: the Arabs, Solymeia, Noteia.
[Brit-Am: Arabs are Arabs, Solymeia were a people in central Turkey, Noteia were a race of coastal Phoenician-type seafarers.].
Rabbi Shimeon ben Yochai said: Darmascenes, Asias, Espamiah.
[Brit-Am: Darmascenes are Northern Syrians of that time, Asiya were a people in central Northwest Turkey, Espamiah could refer to Spain].
Rabbi Yaacov said: Asia,  Thrakia, Cartagenia
[Brit-Am: Asia is probably another for  Asiya  a people in central Northwest Turkey, Thrakia is Thrace in Southeast Europe,
 Cartagenia is Carthage in present day Tripoli, North Africa].
The Rabbis said: Edom, Moab, and the First of the Sons of Amon....
Kenazi belongs to Esau [Edom],  Kenites and Kadmonites became part of Ammon and Moab.

The book "Eretz Chemda" by Yichiel Mical Shtern (5769, p.20 quotes Levushei Mordeci Y"D 3:49) as saying that,
the Chatam Sofer held that the island of England in the End Times would be considered part of the Land of Israel.
The Chatam Sofer ("Chasam Sofer" i.e. Rabbi Moses Schrieber, 1762-1839) is considered a leading authority.
In addition to Britain the same source  quotes the Chatam Sofer as saying that other parts of Western Europe would also be considered part of the Land of Israel.
We would extend this trend of thought to encompass North America.
