1. Joseph, the USA and Manasseh.
re
"Joseph.
The Israelite Destiny of America," by Yair Davidiy, Israel, 2001, 2004.
https://hebrewnations.com/publications/books/joseph.html
In our work, "Joseph," it is shown how different Israelite tribes and tribal Clans that invaded the British Isles were comprised of groups descended from Ephraim and Manasseh. Most of the early settlers of America came from regions associated with Manasseh.
"Joseph. The Israelite Destiny of America," shows how the Blessings in the Bible given to the Children of Israel were epitomized most strongly in the sons of Joseph, i.e. the Tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. Ephraim dominates Britain and her daughters; Manasseh is pre-eminent in the USA. Immigrants to the USA from Britain and Germany and the rest of Europe were sociologically and ethnically different from those who stayed behind. In the case of Britain the migrants to America represented the descendants of Manasseh separating themselves from the offspring of Ephraim and others who largely remained in Britain. Concerning Germany those migrating to the USA were Hebrew descendants of Manasseh leaving their non-Israelite neighbours and moving away.
The Tribal names of peoples who settled in Britain and later in America were those of the Ancient Israelite Tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph.
The Hebrew meaning of the name "Ephraim" connotes a system of aristocracy such as that prevailing in Britain. The meaning of "Manasseh" in Hebrew is Responsible Representation such as that practiced in the USA. The very name "AMERICA" was derived historically from that of Amerigo (or "Americus") Vespucci (1451 -1512) a North Italian navigator in the service of King Henry-7 of England).
The name "Amerigo" or (as it was also rendered) "Americo," was a Latinised permutation of the Hebrew name "Machir" or "Ha-Machiri" (literally "Descednants of Machir"). "Machir" was the first born son of Manasseh son of Joseph.
"THE CHILDREN ALSO OF MACHIR THE SON OF MANASSEH WERE BROUGHT UP UPON JOSEPH'S KNEES" (Genesis 50:23).
"America" was therefore named after the firstborn son of Manasseh.
One of the meanings in Hebrew of the name "Machir" is "Sales" or the principle of Trade and Selling. It is not a coincidence that America became the foremost Capitalist-nation in the world.
An historical-sociological case study of entire areas in the USA analysed in the light of Biblical Commentary and tradition enables us to trace different clans of Manasseh to specific areas of the USA.

2. David Hackett Fischer. Four Major Types of Americans
"Albion's Seed. Four British Folkways in America," by David Hackett Fischer (1989), divides the USA into four main sections.
The first four waves of immigration were the determining ones. These four waves came from Britain to the USA in the years 1629 to 1775. These waves comprised:
a. Puritans: From the east of England to Massachusetts (New England), 1629-1640.
b. Royalists: A small Royalist elite and large numbers of indentured servants from the south of England to Virginia, ca. 1642-1675.
c: Friends (Quakers): From the North Midlands of England and Wales to the Delaware Valley, ca. 1675-1725.
d. Frontiersmen: From the borders of North Britain and Northern Ireland to the Appalachian back-country, 1718-1775. By extension this group also determined the character of the Wild West.
Less than 20 per cent of the American population (says Fischer) have any British ancestors at all but culturally all those who followed were heirs to those who preceded them. For instance, Irish Catholics continued the traditions and values of Protestant Quakers and Puritans who went before them to the Northeast coast of the USA. The four original waves of immigration from Britain are still discernible in American dialects of speech, politics, and ideological conflicts.
According to Fischer the Puritans of Masachusetts had a lasting influence on the USA.

3.The Boston Tea Party
Initially Britain ruled over the 13 original American colonies. They were ruled from Britain but had no representation in the British Parliament. They were subjects of Britain, mostly of British decent, but unlike other British citizens could not elect representatives to Parliament. In 1773 the British Parliament passed a law allowing the taxation of tea sold to the American colonies in order to offset their cost of administration. Tea was a very important beverage at the time. The Colonists objected that this violated their rights as Englishmen to "no taxation without representation", that is, to be taxed only by their own elected representatives and not by a parliament in which they were not represented. This was the culmination of an ongoing struggle from some time back. A group known as "The Sons of Liberty" organized a protest in which some of the participants were disguised as American Indians. They boarded ships carrying the tea and threw it into Boston Harbor. The British government considered the protest an act of treason. The episode escalated into the American Revolution.
The "Boston Tea Party" has come to symbolize the Spirit of America and its foundational principle,
"No Taxation without Representation!"

4. The State of Massachusetts Today. Influence on America.
With less than 8 million people Massachusetts is not a populous state BUT its has been always been a leader.
Massachusetts in the 1800s was a leading manufacturing centre. Following World War-2 and the Cold War Massachusetts concentrated more on high-technology industries and service activities such as finance, education, and health care, helping to create a new economy with Boston as its centre. The Kendall Square neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has been called "the most innovative square mile on the planet," in reference to the high concentration of entrepreneurial start-ups and quality of innovation which have emerged in the vicinity of the square since 2010.
The largest ancestry group in Massachusetts are the Irish (22.5% of the population), followed by Italians (13.5%), English Americans (11.4%) French Canadians (10.7%).
The proportion of non-Hispanic white, has declined from 95.4% in 1970 to 67.6% in 2020.
Massachusetts has the 2nd highest per capita income of US States.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/per-capita-income-by-state
New Jersey - $117,868
Massachusetts - $115,964
Connecticut - $115,337
Maryland - $114,236
California - $111,622
Hawaii - $107,348
Virginia - $106,023
New York - $105,304
Washington - $103,669
New Hampshire - $101,292
It will be noted that 7 out of these 10 top per capita income earners belong to the original 13. The exceptions are California, Hawaii, and Washington.
Puritan settlers aboard the Mayflower had founded Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620. The major concentration of wealth and power in Massachusetts continues to be controlled by the 800 or so families who trace their pedigrees to the Mayflower.
Harvard Law School (HLS) is the law school of Harvard University, a private research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded in 1817, it is the oldest continuously operating law school in the United States. It has educated a contemporaneous majority of Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States.
The state nourished many writers who might be said to have formed the basis of American literature and who brought it recognition outside the young country. A deep sense of both community responsibility and individualism may be traced through the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Louisa May Alcott, all of whom were neighbours.
The first British settlers in what became the USA were in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607. We relate Virginia to Ephraim. Puritan settlers aboard the Mayflower founded Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620.
The colonists of Massachusetts had an uneasy relationship with the British from the beginning.
Early documents issued by the settlers such as the Mayflower Compact (1620) and the Body of Liberties (1641), an early code of law,
# provided the basis for the concept that governments should rule by consent of the governed and with guarantees to protect individual expression. It was in Massachusetts that the colonists raised the hue and cry against taxation without representation, as exemplified by the Boston Tea Party; the activism of the Massachusetts colonists inspired others and culminated in the shot heard round the world at the Battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775. #
These were the first battles of the American Revolution of 1776.

5. Massachusetts and Israel. Identification with Manasseh.
Massachusetts to a significant degree led the American Revolution and helped lay the foundations of the USA. Massachusetts fulfilled the role of Manasseh.
The Israelite Tribe of Manasseh has expressed itself in the State of Massachusetts. Massachusetts was one of the 13 original States of the USA. Each one of the 13 States paralleled one of the Israelite Tribes.
These are the 13 Founding States with their corresponding Tribes:
New Hampshire - Reuben
Massachusetts - Manasseh
Rhode Island - Asher
Connecticut - Naphtali
New York - Benjamin
New Jersey - Judah
Pennsylvania - Gad
Delaware - Dan
Maryland - Levi
Virginia - Ephraim
North Carolina - Issachar
South Carolina - Simeon
Georgia Zebulon
Vermont (Dan) became the 14th State when it separated from New Hampshire. We identify Vermont with Dan.
In 1820, Maine (Asher) separated from Massachusetts.
Massachusetts is officially known as The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
We identify Massachusetts with Manasseh!
Population: ca. 7 million.
The name "Massachusetts" is said to be an Amerindian term for "big" wach "mountain"
In Hebrew dialects the letter "N" could be inserted or deleted (especially in names) so that "Massa-" (as in Massa-chusetts) could be a form of "Manasseh." For instance, the Scythian group known as the Massagetae were a combination of Manasseh and Gad.
The name Manasseh as explained by Rabbi Simson Raphael Hirsch (1808 1888, Germany) may be understood to connote Responsible Representation.
Other names of interest of places in in Massachusetts include:
Ashburnham
Ashby
Ashfield
Ashland
all reminiscent of "Ash" short for "Asher" the Israelite Tribe.
Avon
Ayer
Dana - Dan
Danvers cf. Dan.
Goshen - cf. Joseph, Manasseh.
Jericho - city in Benjamin.
Jericho
Jerusalem
Jerusalem

Joppa
Joppa - city originally of Dan in the south but later incorporated into Manasseh.
Marion - cf. Miriam, sister of Moses and Aharon from the Tribe of Levi.
Salem -another name for Jerusalem.
Sharon - an Area in Manasseh in Ancient Israel.
Manamoiet
Manamoit Village
Manamooskeagin
Mennems Moone

6. Massachusetts and New England.
New England
Massachusetts (Manasseh) belongs to New England along with
Connecticut, - Naphtali
Maine, - Asher
New Hampshire, - Reuben
Rhode Island, -- Asher
Vermont - Dan
Maine (Asher) and Vermont (Dan) were not part of the original 13 but were added later.
Historically Massachusetts with its capital, Boston, dominated that portion of the USA known as New England. Through New England Manasseh strengthened its influence throughout the USA and helped found additional states. We shall look at this further, later. New England is a study in its own right and a subject we shall return to.

"American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America," by Colin Woodard (2011) divides the whole of North America (i.e. Canada, the USA, and part of Mexico) into 11 different sections. In some cases his divisions help clarify our own distinctions based on different Israelite Tribes each dominating certain State of their own.
One of the Divisions that Woodard makes is that of Yankeedom. This in effect means all of New England, some of the areas adjacent to New England, as well as Ohio, Indiania, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and part of Canada.
We shall discuss all this in more depth as we continue.
