An Alternate Identification
New Note (26 May 2021):
NORWAY IS STILL NAPHTALI! See: Norway is Naphtali.
Note: Until now we have identified Norway with the Tribe of Naphtali. There was a period where we though we might be mistaken and that Norway should be identified with the Tribe of Asher and Ireland with Naphtali. The Tribes of Naphtali and Asher were frequently associated with each other. The Tribes of Dan, Asher, and Naphtali were camped together when the Children of Israel came out of Egypt. They intermixed to some degree and this leads to one group showing some of the characteristics of the other.
Exodus (NKJV) 2:
25 The standard of the forces with Dan shall be on the north side according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. 26 And his army was numbered at sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27 Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, and the leader of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran. 28 And his army was numbered at forty-one thousand five hundred.
29 Then comes the tribe of Naphtali, and the leader of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan. 30 And his army was numbered at fifty-three thousand four hundred. 31 All who were numbered of the forces with Dan, one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred, they shall break camp last, with their standards.

The Norwegians probably do not have any recent Arab ancestry. They do however to a significant degree have Hebrew forebears. The Norwegians derive from the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel! The Israelite Tribes of Asher and Naphtali were important in the Norwegian ethnogenesis along with input from the Tribe of Dan who gave his name to neighboring Denmark. Norway specifically probably pertains more to Asher than any other.
DNA and Norway
These claims do not correspond with DNA findings.
Norwegian DNA is similar to that the Germans. The male YDNA haplogroups have ca. 40% I, 20-30% R1a, 25-30% R1b 25. These findings are not inconsistent with an origin from central Asia or the border area with India. The high proportion of haplogroup I YDNA may actually be derived from the semitic J haplogroup, IJ being the source of both. DNA is in effect caused by environmental influence interacting with genetic potentialities.
Today there are ca. 5,500, 000 Norwegians in Norway.Descendants of Norwegians are also to be found in USA, Canada, Netherlands, Ireland, and Scotland.
By way of comparison Sweden has ca. 10 million, Denmark 6 million, Finland 5, 500,00, Iceland 340, 000, Eire (Ireland) 5 million, North Ireland (Ulster) ca. 2 million.

Thor Heyerdahl and the Asier
The Norwegian researcher and explorer, Thor Heyerdahl (1914-2002), led two archaeological excavations to Azov (Tanais) on the Don River in Southern Russia. These are known as "The Search for Odin" (Norwegian: "Jakten pa Odin"). He wished to verify the account of Snorri Sturluson in the Ynglinga Saga (1200s CE) about the origin of the Norse royal dynasties, and the pre-Christian Norse gods. Snorri described the Norse god Odin and other Norse gods, the Asier, as having been real people who emigrated from the area around the River Don to Scandinavia at the time of an attempted Roman expansion north of the Black Sea. Heyerdahl traced the Asier from the Don River area to Scandinavia via 'Saxon homelands in northern Germany, Odense on Fyn, Denmark to Old Sigtuna, ancient Sweden.'
We, in Brit-Am, identify the Asier with the Israelite Tribe of Asher. In Phoenician Hebrew the Tribe of Asher was referred to as "As." So too, Asier is the plural form of As. In the past the As were identified with a people referred to in Chinese as the WuSun and in Roman records as the Asii. They are assumed to have become subsumed into the later Hephthalites otherwise known as Naphtalites from the Israelite Tribe of Naphtali. Likewise the neighboring 'Yeuzhui' were a subsection of the Goths. These peoples all migrated to Scandinavia in several stages.
The Don and Danaster (Dneister) Rivers are the Sambation!
It is worth mentioning that the Don River in Jewish tradition was otherwise known as the Sambation River. This identification is confirmed in the writings of Eldad Ha-Dani (ca. 850 CE) as well as by contemporary records concerning the Khazars. Inscriptions bearing the personal name "Sambation" have been found in Greek settlements at the Don estuary. The Talmud traces the Lost Ten Tribes, or at least a third portion of them, to the Sambation River.
Asher BOTH East and West of the Caspian Sea
East of the Caspian in the region of Bactria we find the Asiani, Sacaraucae and Tochar. Strabo refers to them as Asioi, Pasianoi, Sakaraulai, and Tokharoi.
Pliny the Elder, in about 77-79 CE, recalls the Asini, and Tacoraei.
Others identify the Asii/Asiani/Asioi with the Alans and/or Aorsi. The Alans were also known as As.
# In Greek Mythology they were the children of Iapetus and Asia. #
Analyzing the Geography of Ptolemy (as explained in "The Tribes," alongside Jewish legends concerning the Ten Tribes we can tentatively identify both the Sakaraulai, and Tokharoi with the Ithagori or Tribe of Issachar who later moved to Finland.
The As, are Aseir, and Aorsi from the Tribe of Asher. The Alans descend from Simeon (1-Chronicles 4:37) and/or from Zebulon (Genesis 46:14, Numbers 26:25).
Asher among the Vandals and Vikings
The Vandals (allies of the Goths) of history were also in part descended from the Israelite Tribe of Asher.
The Israelite Tribe of Asher had dwelt on the sea-coast in what is now Lebanon. Norway, through the Vikings and its maritime industries, also grew up by the sea.
Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches (Judges 5:17).
The word rendered 'breaches' in Hebrew is "miphratsim," meaning (as noted by Mikkel Stjernholm Kragh ) a break (in the shore), or an inlet, in Nordic languages, a vik/vig from which we get the word 'Viking.' VIK is how the Hebrew word 'Miphrats' (inlet) is translated in the Swedish Authorized Version, authorized by Gustav-v, King of Sweden, of 1917 (Judges 5:17). From "vik" we obtain the word 'Viking' and thus a possible link to the Tribe of Asher.
Asher and Sidon
Asher was associated with the Canaanite Phoenician city of Sidon (Judges 1:31). Descendants of Phoenicians from Sidon were to be found in Germany. They may have given rise to the Hanseatic League (1356-1862). Ptolemy (ca. 100 CE) reports a settlement named Caudinge (i.e. "Sidon") on the site of what became Hamburg, founder member of Hanseatic League. The Hanseatic League had a formative influence on the early history of Norway and the rest of Scandinavia. Another name for Israel was "Yeshuron" and this name applies especially to Asher. A Phoenician inscription links Sidon to Yeshuron (Deuteronomy 33:26)..
Asher, Norway and Bible Codes
In Bible Codes the name "Norway" in Hebrew lettering adjoins the name Asher in two instances and also the names of ISHUAH and YIMNAH (JIMNAH), sons of ASHER, Genesis 46:17. See: www.britam.org/codesarticles/CodesNorway.html
Asher and Oil
The Tribe of Asher had an olive tree as its symbol. The olive was important in Ancient Times for food, cooking, cleaning, healing, heating, and oiling. Today Norway is rich dues to its oil resources.
Let Asher be blessed with children: let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil (Deuteronomy 33:24).
The name 'Asher' in Hebrew connotes both happiness and riches. The Norwegians, along with other Scandinavians, are ranked as among the happiest people on earth. See: Why do you think Scandinavian countries Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Sweden dominate the top 10 world's happiest countries?
The River of Jacob (brought to our attention by Orjan Svenssun
The Tribes of Jacob (Isaiah 49:6) are those of the Ten Tribes. They are in the far north and at the Ends of the Earth (Isaiah 49:6) as Norway is. The Border between Israelite Norway and non-Israelite Russia is known as the River of Jacob (Jacobselv). Names have significance.
When the Israelites were about to conquer the Land of Canaan they sent representatives of each Tribe to spy out the land (Numbers 13:2). Ten of the spies brought back a bad report causing the Hebrews to rebel, incur the wrath of the Almighty and be condemned to wander in the Wilderness for an additional 40 years. Rabbi Fishel Mael ("Sefer Shivtai Ysroel," Baltimore, 5757) after analyzing the names and examining Rabbinic opinion opines that specifically spies from the two Tribes of Asher and Naphtali were the primary instigators of negativity. They had initiated a critical attitude leading to the demoralization of the other spies. Both Asher and Naphtali therefore had a problematic relationship with the rest of Israel. This is reflected in the negative attitudes towards the State of Israel occasionally revealed by Norway and Ireland.
Protest from Orjan Svenssun: Norway is Naphtali!
I saw you posted recently a message were you seem to deviate from your previous identification of Norway with Naphtali.
It seems like you now believe that the Norwegians are mainly from Asher.
In my opinion this is not correct. I am convinced that the Norwegians are mainly from Naphtali and the TORAH code supports it.
You have been looking in the whole TANAKH and found Norway coded in Jeremiah and other prophets, but the most significant codes are generally believed by Torah codes adherents to exist in the five books of Moses, the Pentateuch.
If you search for NORWEGI (= "Norwegian") in the Torah, then you find at skip -83726 in the wrapped Torah NORWEGI adjacent to Bnei Naphtali if you allow a row skip of 2.
In the middle of the axis term NORWEGI you also read "NaFT + ALI".
Abraham is crossing NORWEGI.
Joseph is adjacent to NORWEGI.
Please see attached image.
Please look also at the attached file with Ha NORWeGI (= "the Norwegian") with skip 118504 in the TORAH and row skip of 2.
The match with Bnei Naphtali must be the most significant. I dont find corresponding match with Bnei Asher.
Just Asher is not difficult to find match with, since, as you self point out, Asher is a very common word in Hebrew.
