Tribal Names and Clan Names within the Tribe of Reuben (8 July, 2014, 10 Tammuz, 5774)
Descendants of the Israelite Tribe of Reuben settled in areas of Western Europe especially in France.
The French People have the characteristics of Reuben. Reuben was divided into different clans. The names of the clans of Reuben are reflected in the names of different peoples who settled in France and who came to comprise the French Nation. This, and the proofs accompanying it, is proof of Divine Providence in preserving the Israelite Tribes as distinct entities.

Reuben Reuben "Rabeans" in the Mari correspondence from northern Syria. Reuben was also recalled in Northeast "Syria", in the Geography of Ptolemy (based on Ancient Sources) as the Rahabbanai. After being exiled a portion of the tribe of Reuben was recorded as the Rhabbanai in East Scythia, and later as the Ribuari (Franks) in Gaul. "Ribuari" means Reubeni. They were also known as the Rubi. The Tribe of Reuben had dwelt together with the half-Tribe of Manasseh in the area otherwise known as Gilead. Gilead was also pronounced as Galaadi. Galaadi was way of pronouncing the term Galatae which is what a northern portion of the inhabitants of Gaul (France, Belgium, and the Netherlands) were known by. Gaul in Hebrew Jewish texts is called Gallia. The Gauls were also known as Galli. This name in Hebrew connotes either Exile or Galilean inhabitant of the Highlands. In popular Latin, Gali meant "rooster". The French later used a rooster or "cock" as their national animal representation and a crowing-cock in Jewish and General folklore is connected with the sunrise which conforms with the "Sun" or "Rising-sun" symbol of Reuben. |

The Huguenots Calvinist Christians of France may also have indirectly been named after Hanoch and reflect an expression of ethnic differentiation. |

We have much, much, more evidence confirming the identification of the Tribe of Reuben with groups dwelling primarily in France.
There may also have been elements from Reuben who remained together with descendants of Manasseh in West Germany which they mostly left in the 1700s.
