1-Chronicles 7:
20 AND THE SONS OF EPHRAIM; SHUTHELAH, AND BERED HIS SON, AND TAHATH HIS SON, AND ELADAH HIS SON, AND TAHATH HIS SON.
Ephraim was nick-named "Aegle" meaning "bull-calf.". This was another name for the Angles in northern dialects. So too, in Ancient Hebrew "Angle" is a dialectical alternative for "Aegel."
We therefore identify the Angles with Ephraim.

Shutelach -
We identify Shuteleach with the Scots.
The Scots are described as an amalgamation of Picts and Gaels, who founded the Kingdom of Scotland (or Alba) in the 800s CE. In the following two centuries, the Welsh-speaking Cumbrians of Strathclyde in northwest central Scotland and the Angles of north Northumbria became part of Scotland.
Originally the term Scotti was applied to the Gaels who came from eastern and northeastern Ireland and migrated to Central Scotland.
# The Scots were also known as Scithae, Scitae, Scuitae and Scotae to the old writers... the Greeks called the Scythians Skuthes.
According to 'The Descent of the Gaels' by James Grant, an Edinburgh Advocate, and published in 1814, the early Scots were known as Scyths. That, according to Grant, was the confirmed opinion of such old Roman writers as Radulphus,Claudian, Isidore and others. This particular Gaelic branch of the Celtic incomers is supposed to have come direct to Scotland through Scandinavia, and acquired the designation of Scyths because they were nomads, wanderers, without a settled home. #
(McCormick, J . 'The Origin of the Scots'. The Covenant People, Vancouver, c1960: 2-3)
The term Scot is form of the name "Scyth." They were also known as Scolotai or or according to Herodotus "Scolotoi" the self-designation of the tribe of the Royal Scythians.

The History of Herodotus Book 4.
From Leipoxais sprang the Scythians of the race called Auchatae; from Arpoxais, the middle brother, those known as the Catiari and Traspians; from Colaxais, the youngest, the Royal Scythians, or Paralatae. All together they are named Scoloti, after one of their kings: the Greeks, however, call them Scythians.
Shutelach dialectically could quite easily have been pronounced Scoloti. The "SH" being pronounced or written as "Sc."

Eran
The son of Shutelach was Eran.
This gives us ERIN an ancient name for Ireland.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^'
Bered
Was also the son of Shutelach (1-Chronicles 7:20) or another name for Eran son of Shutelach.
Bered in Hebrew means "Lightning." Rabbi Avraham Iben Ezra (ca. 1089 - 1167 ?) says that names that have the same meaning were interchanged with each other. Bered could therefore have become Barak which also means "Lightning."
Barak was a name for the Brigantes. he Brigantes were to be found in southeastern Ireland and in English Northumdria, as well as in Switzerland.
A section of the Brigantes in Ireland were the Bairrche traditional descendants of Daire Barrach. A god in Brigantian Britain was called Barreks. In Hebrew, "Barak" means lightning and "Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kadesh Nephtali" (Judges 4;6) had been an early military leader of the northern Tribes. The Hebrew name " Barak " can be understood as either synonymous or at least similar in meaning to Bered and in Hebrew is spelt similarly. Bered was a grandson of Ephraim (1-Chronicles 7;20). There were the Boradi with the Goths, the Bardi in Sweden, and Bordeaux in southwest Gaul was originally known as Bard-galli.

Tahan - Tahath - Teuton.
Tahan was a son of Ephraim (Numbers 26:35).
Tahath was the name of both a son and grandson (through another son, Eladah) of Bered (1-Chronicles 7:20).
The names Tahan and tahath seem to have conflated.
Both Tahan and Tahath gave rise tot he name Teuton.
In "The Tribes" we explained how:
# The Teutons and Teutonarii were to be swept up in the Anglo-Saxon hosts moving westward. ... The Teutons, in the Map of Ptolemy, whilst in Germany were located just south of the Saxons. ...
The Teutons belonged to the Ephraimite clan of TAHAN (Tachan : ). Tahan is recalled in the appellation: "Tehuni" which in the east was applied to the Scythian-Sacae, as a whole while in Greek mythology the Scythian archer "Teutarus" (after Tahath, also from Ephraim, 1-Chronciles 7:20) came to represent the Scythians in general.

Eladah
Eladah was a son of Tahath son of bered (1-Chronicles 7:20).
The province of Ulster in Northern Ireland was named after the Ulaid.
Ulaid also refers to a people of early Ireland, and it is from them that the province of Ulster derives its name. Ulaid was also known as Coiced Ulad, the "Fifth of Ulster." it was Latinized as "Ulidia." # The general scholarly consensus since the time of Eoin MacNeill has been that the Ulaid were kin to the Erainn. # The Erainn also have a name similar to Eran. The name Erainn is consdiered another form of Iverni a people whom Ptolemy placed in extreme south-west of Ireland. "It was probably once the name given to all the peoples of Ireland, but by Ptolemy's time had a more restricted usage applicable to the inhabitants of the south-west. These Iverni can be identified linguistically with the Erainn...a people attested in Munster and elsewhere in the early Middle Ages." Munster is the southwest part of Ireland.

Becher
Becher was a son of Ephraim (Numbers 26:35).
Becher was recalled in the Boroctuari who participated in the Anglo-Saxon invasions according to Bede (ix), and in Gaul were also associated with the Franks. These are identical with the BOGARI whom Nennius (800s CE) said were the sons of Neugione (ING) along with the Saxons, Wandal (Vandals), and Tarincga. Neugione (ING) represents the Ingueone group of peoples who comprised the Chauci, Cimbri, and Teutoni according to one account, and Sicambri, Teutons, and Chauci according to another. At all events we find here an association with Teutons and those Saxons who together with Angles invaded England.
