[Brit-Am Note on Letters received from Ope Tuslapsi : We received two letters from the author. We have edited and changed parts of what we received. In some cases we may not have done justice to the original.
We also may, on some points, have mistaken the intention.]
We have not done justice to the material sent us. It may still seem confused and make for difficult reading. Nevertheless it is interesting and may include points worth of further study.]
[Brit-Am Note on Background:] The original inhabitants of Scandinavia were probably the Lapps. The Lapps still exist. They are known also as Saami. Until recently they herded reindeer, lived in isolated areas and were considered relatively primitive. After the Lapps came the Scandinavians. After them came the Finns who are also basically Scandinavians. The Lapps are at root an entirely different people. The DNA of the Lapps relates their womenfolk to the Berbers of North Africa and the men to an East Asian Siberian type stock. The Lapps however have mixed in strongly with the Scandinavians. It is thought that many Lapp traditions, customs, aspects of their language, etc, were originally those of the Scandinavians. The Lapps received them and kept them while the Scandinavians being more exposed to external influences lost them. For this reason it is pertinent when studying ancient Scandinavians and the ancient Finns to take the Lapps into account. In ancient records of foreigners concerning Scandinavia the term Fin was sometimes applied to the Lapps.]
Karelia in Eastern Finland.
The eastern section of Finland is known as Karelia.
There are similarities between the Finnic Karelians (living on both sides of the Finnish-Russian border, in Finland and in Russia) and the Israelities.
To be a Karelian, is to be a people who herd cattle, cattle herders. The word Karelian is derived from Karja (cattle) and Karja +la (the suffix meaning place, in this case a place for cattle)
Later the name was corrupted into forms such as Karelia/Korela/Kirjala/Kyriala. This was due to the influence of the neighboring Slavs and Germans etc.
Finnish Domestic Animals Traced to the Middle East.
First let us look at the animals, since that are part of the people's society and culture.
1) The Karelian bear dog has been identified as similar to one in the Near East, i.e. to the region of Ancient Israel.
2) Certain types of cattle have a coloration pattern with alternating white and dark sides, e.g. the sides will be black but the back is white. Such a color pattern is known as a snakes back or as Kyyttoe color. These color combinations are found quite commonly in certain types of cattle from the Finnish region and in neighboring areas, for example in Russian Karelia, in some places in Northwest Russia and Scandinavia and in the UK (Hereford), and also further east in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) of Siberia. Genetic studies have revealed that almost all Kyyttoe east-Finnic cattle have a paternal line inherited that may be traced back to to south to the elbow of the Volga. From here they in turn came from the direction of the Caucasus.
3) There is a type of sheep in Finland which is also similar to breeds in the Middle East.
Finnish Characteristics.
Mysticism.
The Finns have a mystical streak and sometimes experience visions, and prophecies etc.

There is a tradition in Karelia that women teach crysongs to their daughters. There was also a whole class of professional or semi-professional mourning weeping women
with their own social mores and complicated sub-divisions.
Professional mourning weeping women were well-known in Jewish Tradition. The Code of Jewish Law (Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh Deah 244) says that when one of a person's dependants passes away he is obliged to hire mourning women, and flute players to eulogize the deceased in those place where such is the custom.
Jeremiah 9:
17 Thus says the LORD of hosts:
Consider and call for the mourning women,
That they may come;
And send for skillful wailing women,
That they may come.
18 Let them make haste
And take up a wailing for us,
That our eyes may run with tears,
And our eyelids gush with water.
Attitudes to the Jews and Israel.
Finland and Israel trade in armsware. It is supposed to be a secret but still widely known.
There is a lot of sympathy in Finland for Israel, but the main media tries to hide It.
Remember, Finland is not an anti-Semitic country. They are however influenced by the World Media. That is why they nowadays support Islamic causes. Most Finns pray for Israel and want only the best for her. They are against military hostility towards against Israel from any direction. Unfortunately there are people now leading Finland that do not share the majority sentiments. In general the parties against religion are negative towards also Israel. Those who are pro-religious are with Israel. The ones supporting Israel are against the growing influence of Islam and want instead a more stable society with the Christian and Israelite (Jewish) value. There is now a lot of bad things happening in Finland due to Islam gaining power and room to act.
Folklore.
St. Andrew the apostle .
There is a belief that St. Andrew the apostle came to Karelia on his 4th missionary journey.
Why do we assume him to really came ? Well this article has been well researched and Finland has these peculiar place names of unknown origin.
Mikkeli (Archangel Michel) / St. Michel, Archangel (Viena, Russia) and Antrea (city for honour of St. Andrew, heraldic cross in Its coat-of-arms). I believe the orthodox believers to be followers of St. Andrew. Even though the Carelians were christianized, they practised pagan rituals all the way up to the 20th century. In some parts they still have weird practices, e.g. clothing cemeteries in which cloth is placed on the the trees to honor the dead.
The god Baal
There was a god called Baal. The important area of Valamo (Valaam in Karelia) has a name meaning mean Baala -mo (the end mo means location of Baal, like worship-place of Baal).
Edomites and Giants in Scandinavia
In ancient times the whole of Scandinavia including Finland and the area adjacent to it was known as Kvernland.
[Kvenland is Fennoscandia i.e. the region made up by the Scandinavian Peninsula, Finland, Karelia, and the Kola Peninsula.]
**** Kvenland may be traced to the Edomites (Quauenland, Kvenland, Kaianaland, Kainuu). Quaus was the god of Edom and that is where the name Kvenland comes form. There is a gene that sometimes makes a man too tall. Giantism i.e. akromegalia, is seen in Paltamo region Finland (Vaino Myllyrinne, Daniel Cajanus, Lauri Moilanen, Louis Moilanen all of them have link to that area). Kvenland is thought to be also linked to the Calevas tribe who also had giant descendants along with others originating from Kvenland.
All of this is not pure mythology. There may have been akromegalic persons who were taller than usual. Average height is around 150-170 cm, so a 2 to 2.5 meters tall person may have been considered a giant.
The Labyrinths
[[The mystical labyrinths "Jatulintarhat"
Stone labyrinths may be found all over the "old" world: Germany, Iceland, England, Sweden, Russia, all around the Middle East and in India.
In Finland, are found more than 140 labyrinths. They are mostly along the coast line; inland only a dozen exist.
They date from the Bronze Age to recently i.e. ca. 1800 CE.
These labyrinths are attributed to a people known as Jats, as reflected in place-names. They are considered to have been giants.
In Scandinavian languages similar names for gaints reflect the same word-root , iatul, iatun, jottul, jottur, jotunn and jotunn.
There is a myth about a tribe called "Jatulit", also known as giants, which had been living in the north (Ultimate Thule) even before the Lapps came there.
There were also Jatuls, originating from Jat. Aillu [as the suffix in Jat-ul] means southern large person in Saami [Lapp language]. uly means big. Jat - ul means Jat the big. The Jatuls were giants in Finnish folklore. There are some Sanskrit [Ancient Indian] elements amongst northern languages. ****
Phoenician Lapps.
Let's go back to the Saami (Lapps). The name Saami is a form of Finni/Fenni meaning Phoenician. The main Phoenician city was Sidon and the Phoenicians were also known generically as Sidonians. In Scandinavian and northern regions there was a people known Sithones/Sidones/Sitones.. all these are different pronunciations of the same name meaning Sidonian i.e. Phoenician.. Fenici is the Italian name for Phoenicia. The name Fin (as in Finland) also derived from the name Phoenicia.
The Saami [Lapplander] etnonym was given them when they mixed with Suomi's [Finns in the modern sense] who were the original ones to bear that ethnonym. Saami was originally another name for the Fins. A form of this name is also found in that of Perm (Bjarmia). This area is just to the east of Finland and some of the Fins had sojourned there before coming westward.
The Finns received their presentr-day Finno-ugric language from their sojourn in this region. Dialectically "Saami" is another form of Fenni, Sitones, "Finns" meaning Phoenician.
Other forms of the name include saame/soome/suome/soma/suma/sum (sumer ?)...
Apparently a stone with Ancient Irish Ogham script has been found in Northern Sweden in the Lapp region.
Stone found from Saami area north Sweden, old Finland
The inscription has been transcribed as (read from left to right) AND - BL - CDHH. Comp[aring it with similar stones found in Ireland. The first word could very well be Ianod which means an area, place, or even a home. BL is Bal. This is an ambiguous word that may refer to refer to both a sun god Baal, but also to a village - which in this context, is probably the more correct attribute. CDHH the last word in length is easier for it means cuidh i.e. freight, cargo, and that sort of thing. So the inscription could read "the place of village goods".
Another inscription written in Ogham but interpreted in Finnish has been understood to say, Ships from Finica [Phoenicia], cargo berth.
The Saami [Lapps] were actually originally Phoenicians/Canaanites whom had intermixed with the northern Israelite Tribes. Maybe the Celts, Kvens and Saami all came to Scandinavia at the same time, but the Germanic tribes came later.
Groups of Finnish People and Genetics.
A group of the Finnish are known as Savolainen (zavolotskaja tshud, savolots) whose name meant originally the people behind the day journey or behind the waterline. They are practically the same as the Karelians, Veps, Perms etc. but have mixed with Jems (Jaeaemi, haeaemaelaeinen) / Jams. There are many places in Russian Karelia to show that Jems/Jams were there also. Jems Pogosta etc.
The Jems are also the same as Karelians.
The Savolainen were known to be excellent archers. They were also skilled with inland boats and in raising rye-grain. They would log the forest and farm on the ashes that were made after burning the logging site. Wherever they went, the first thing they did was make a sauna. The sauna served as a washing place and the heart of the house. It was considered the purest, most innocent, cleanest, and also the most sacred place of the household. It was forbidden to act in a bad way in the sauna.
The Baltic Finns (from Finland proper) are mainly from the same group. They came at first to Russian Karelia, from Viena (Perm) in the east. In the east they had mixed with the Perm-Ugrians.
Later on they also intermixed with the Saami (Lapps), Sarmatians, Scythians, Alans, Turks, Goths, Slavs, Germans, Balts etc.
Despite their intermixing with quite a few other peoples there were not that many of them at first. They kept to themselves and did not mix with others but intermarried amongst themselves. This led to some inbreeding. The result was a rather homogeneous stock with some genetic diseases, and its own peculiarities and uniquenesss. They were quite different from the neighboring Slavs and Germans.
Concerning my genes, I myself am Y(male)DNA haplogroup N1C1 (like many Finns, other Europeans, and some Asians. It is related to R) and mt(Female)H1 (like ca. 50% of Europeans. It is thought to have originated in southwest Asia, i.e. in the Israelite area).
I do not know what this signifiies. But an autosomal genetic [i.e. generally inherited, and not sex-specific as Y(make) DNA and mt(female) DNA are] test related me to Finns 96,31 %, 3,69 % to Han, Malay, Gambodian, Yakuts (yugaghirs), Japanese and Mongols. From my H1, I have matches everywhere even with some people of Jewish origin. My N1C1 links to Finland, Sweden, Komi, Siberian natives and one in Kazahkstan.
The Kalevala Epic is Unreliable
The alleged Finnish national epic known as the Kalevala should not be read. It is a forgery, compiled by Elias Lonnrot. He collected original songs that may still be pound in the national archives of Finland as separate discrete creations. E.L. combined many different stories to create the Kalevala. This did real damage to the study of Finnish folklore. The Kalevala was his invention, but the Finns do have an original and rich folklore of several kinds.
There are other findings as well.
Finland, Issachar, and Switzerland.
[Brit-Am Note.
In our book, The Tribes by Yair Davidiy, we identified the people of Finland mainly with the Tribe of Issachar. We also located specific place names with those of clans from Issachar.
[We also found elements from Gad, Simeon, and others in Finland]. The author, Ope Tuslapsi, agrees with us in general but takes issue with some of our identifications. We have dealt with this matter elsewhere however and still consider our linguistic equations to have been valid.]

In The Tribes we show how the Swiss also received settlers from Issachar. Switzerland is known as the Clockwork country. Characteristics of the Swiss are those associated with Issachar which indeed is exemplified by qualities useful in clockwork. Switzerland is famous for its watches.
Off issachar it was said,
# of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do... # [1-Chronicles 12:32].

We made the somewhat piquant analogy between Issachar and the Swiss:
The Swiss through their watches etc may be understood as still giving Israel understanding of the time.

The Finns have been famous for building clocks. It might be now relatively unknown but yes, the Finns did once have a clock-making reputation. The Konni watches, for example, manufactured by the Konni family of Finland were famous throoghout Scandinavia. Finland also produced goldsmiths, blacksmiths, gunsmiths and clocksmiths. There was (and is) a high standard of education required for each for each of these professions. The Finns also knew how to build ships even though they did not sail very much. Nowadays Finns give money free of charge (for some reason I do not know) to the EU. This to some degree parallels the Swiss bankers. Finns are also good with gems.
The Finns are are educated people who have given the world Nokia, Rovio (Angry birds) and other successes. I
If G-d has not been with us, how can the blessings we have received be explained?
The Skirri were a Celtic people who settled in Switzerland. The name Skirri is derived from Issachar.
The Skirri (Scyri) were in Finland as well .. Just look at the Map of Abraham Ortellius (1527-1598) concerning Europe. You will find in Feningia (Finland) the Scyri, Hirri, Phaunoae.
I wish the best to you and much success in looking for the lost tribes of Israel.
