Re: Query Answered by Brit-Am
Dear Yair,
I would like to give an answer to the question about why Israel prohibits the return of the tribes. I wondered about this aspect and there were some scriptures that I wrestled with for a long time that helped me see the picture.
For one thing in Ezekiel 20 it talks about how Israel will come home. It seems if they want to come home one thing it speaks about is a rod we must pass under. That in itself is a big subject to cover from the Tanach. However, the ruler's rod will be in the hand of Judah until Messiah comes. I finally came to the understanding that God uses Judah to make it difficult because there is a lot of education we are not getting out in the dispersion. We have Ephraimites teaching Ephraim. Some of it might be helpful but if you read Jeremiah 3 it says Israel (northern kingdom) will repent and they will be joined to Judah in a northern country before they come to Israel. Perhaps going to our Ephraimite group is a worthy exercise but we all will learn a lot more about our brother Judah if we go where they are meeting and learn from them. It is important to go to learn and not try to teach them. How can the Father put two completely different sticks together if they do not know anything about each other and they lack understanding. What if they both are still judging that they have all the truth and the other needs it. We have to loose our judgmental spirit and become learners or we will never come under the rod that the Father has put in place. At least all these statements are what has come to me for my life and I hope they are helpful for others who still ponder how it can be done.
Shalom,
Charlotte Mecklenburg

The Question of Immigration to Israel for Ephraimites?
Hi Yair,
It's exciting to think of the Lost10 Tribes going home to Israel. But there are things that we could, and probably should be doing to prepare ourselves. One thing would be to learn Hebrew. We can all do that from our place of exile. I think it is our responsibility to support Israel in any way that we can. We need to give them anything and everything they need and we need to let everyone know that we are pro Israel. M

The Question of Immigration to Israel for Ephraimites?
lol, Yair, you are limiting the promise to Abraham. He was promised the land as far as he could see. Taken to the maximum, that is, following his eyes, the promise takes in the whole earth! So it is rational that Israelites of today should stay in their God-given homelands rather than attempting to move to Jerusalem, which at this time can hardly be called a holy city, sadly needs a lot of cleansing. One perennial question involves what tribe am I? DNA will answer that at the proper time. One thing that people overlook involving The Return in the end times is that the reason they come to the land of Israel is because the population has been decimated: Scripture says: I will make you pass under the rod --a method of taking 1/10, a tithe of animals, suggesting only a tenth of greater Israel will remain alive. It will be a sad time indeed, but joyful because Messiah will offer a safe home to the Remnant, who, like today's Jews, will come from many lands.
