Responding to who Edom is, read Genesis Chapter 36.
Most of the ancient Land of Edom is in eastern China and the Korean Peninsula.
Formerly known as Seir, the Land of the Horites (Horim), this area was inhabited by the progeny of the Japanese, who originally came from the eastern Coast of China and Korea.
In prophecy, the 3 Nations to escape the coming Son of Perdition leading and invading Armies from Europe - the King of the North over the Arab League - King of the South, are Edom, Moab, and the foremost Sons of Ammon.
This means that the Islamic countries of North Africa and the near/middle East face a very fierce and massive invasion from Europe in the future, and Turkey will be fending off this European invasion force, too.
Edom is among the 3 key Nations mentioned by the prophet Daniel, saying that Edom, Moab, and the foremost of Ammon will escape.
Edom, Moab, and the foremost of Ammon are located in Asia's far East, and their combine will produce and field a huge, massive, and unprecedented 200 Million Man Armies to proceed across the river Euphrates and slaughter 1/3 of the Human Race.
John, one of the writers of the Gospels, a book called, "The Book of the Revelation", was a Seer into the future, and wrote a prophetic vision down about a coming Tattoo which would be used for Human Identification and for Electronic Sales Transactions.
John was the same Man who stated his vision of the 200 Million Man Armies crossing the river Euphrates, creating an unprecedented Military assault against the forces of the Son of Perdition, slaughtering at least 2 Billion People in the process.

The official census quotes of 1.3 Billion People is inaccurate and false.
