1. Colin Power: Need to Spread the Message of Hebrew nations by Word of Mouth
Dear Yair,
Reading your recent newsletter, I was struck by you encouraging your readers
to talk to their friends. This is the reason I ordered six books on Joseph.
You may remember I told you I was a member of Herbert Armstrong's Church for
many years. Yesterday I visited an old friend of mine who was one of the
ministers and I gave him your book.. and recommended that he would find it interesting. ....
Each time I meet with these people, I will be telling them how we had dinner
in Jerusalem, and the positive impression I came away with. For instance,
the man I spoke to yesterday, I recommended he read the book, because though
it is in harmony basically, with the United States and British Commonwealth
and prophecy, your research is far more interesting detail on what Herbert
Armstrong basically glossed over.
The point I am getting to, is to grow your business, you need to have people
talking about you. Word-of-mouth and personal recommendation is far more
powerful and effective than an advertisement in a newspaper. These men have
their own congregations and "a network" of contacts that could be valuable
to us. Accordingly, I am hopeful and confident of ordering more books from
you as time goes on.
In the meantime, keep up the good work, I am doing my best to support you.
Best regards........ Colin.

Weekly Bible Portion: "VaYashaev", Genesis chs.37 to 40, AND HE DWELT
http://britam.org/Genesis/Gen37to40VaYashaev.html
Extracts:
This weeks portion is named VaYashaev translated as And he [i.e. Jacob] dwelt in the first verse.
s.1
[Genesis 37:1] AND JACOB DWELT IN THE LAND WHEREIN HIS FATHER WAS A STRANGER, IN THE LAND OF CANAAN.
[Genesis 37:2] ...
"THE LAD WAS WITH THE SONS OF BILHAH, AND WITH THE SONS OF ZILPAH": Does this suggest that the Descendants of Joseph will get along better with the Descendants of the Handmaidens rather than with his brother descendants of Rachel and Leah?
EVIL REPORT in Hebrew dibatam raah. The word used for report (based on the root dibah) suggests that something was wrong with it. According to the Midrash Joseph related bad things about his brothers that were not true but rather derived from a mistaken impression. It was not for nothing that his brothers resented him.
[Genesis 37:3]... COAT OF MANY COLOURS = Cotonet Pasim also translatable as coat of stripes. Possibly similar to a tartan design. Egyptian illustrations and statuettes sometimes depict individuals from the Israelite-Canaanite area wearing tartan-like coats or kilts.
David Rohl in A Test of Time on the coverpiece has a color photograph of the statuette of a Hyksos prince. He is wearing a robe of colored stripes similar in design to tartan. The person concerned has red hair and Rohl suggests that the statuette is actually intended to depict Joseph himself. I personally would not go so far but you never know. If it is not Joseph maybe it is one of his descendants?
[Rohl has also been accused in this case of taking a statuary fragment and reconstructing it in a way that may not necessarily reflect the original. Nevertheless such types are known from Egyptian depictions and they are associated with the area of Israel.

Nowadays Joseph is found chiefly amongst the USA and Britain and in some small part also amongst the Jews (who are mainly Judah and other tribes). There is a great deal of resentment and hatred directed towards Joseph today. Some of it may be justified in part but a great deal is pure jealousy and spiteful inclinations.
The most hated nations in the world today after the Jews are probably the USA and UK even though these three have done more good overall for the world than anyone else.
The ancestor of the Anglo-Saxons according to their tradition was Sceld [i.e. Shield] Sheafing descendant of Shem (in Anglo-Saxon genealogies) who was named after a sheaf. He had been found as an infant drifting in an oarless boat, sleeping on a sheaf of wheat. When he grew up he taught his people agriculture and just laws. This legend borrows elements from the stories of both Joseph and of Moses.
The dream of Joseph is also pertinent regarding the fate of his descendants in the Latter Days.
The Tribal Forefathers married women from different nations. This together with environmental influences and continued intermarrying explains some of the physical differences amongst present Israelite peoples.
....The Commentators say that if one has good intentions at the time of union then good people arise.
So how come this union was also successful?
The answer given is that the intentions of the woman are the most determining.
Another point mentioned by the Commentators is that from what appear to be disgraceful beginnings can often spring great and good results.
Some say that this explains the Red Hand and Red Thread on the Coat of Arms of Ulster.

4. An Old Message Revised and Updated: cf. The Sixth Sense, Inspiration, and Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations
http://www.britam.org/now/1150Now.html#Sixth
We all have a sixth sense. This expresses itself in telepathy, instinct, intuition, and a vast numbers of "coincidences" that occur to us daily and that we usually do not notice. This sixth sense is similar to other senses in so far that unconsciously or consciously we direct it in certain directions and interpret it through out intellect. People who are intelligent and sensitive and spiritually inclined are often more aware of this faculty. Sometimes they may have developed it far beyond its average level.
What has all this to with "Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations"?
It is of interest in its own right. Apart from that we correspond with others and interact with them. Many of those we correspond with we relate to us and to similar findings through their "instincts". They consider this "inspiration" and in a sense that is what it is.
The Gift of Prophecy according to Maimonides is a God-given heightened level of sixth-sense consciousness.
Maimonides implies that theoretically anybody could achieve this ability but the Almighty prevents them from doing so and only allows those who are worthy to enter its gates.
Maimonides also says that much of what we might consider as instinctive has a rational explanation: Our minds work like super-computers, absorbing numerous impressions, comparing them with past and present experiences, and then reacting. All this goes on without us really being aware of the processes involved.
People who occupy themselves in certain fields may develop instincts concerning them.
This may involve both rational and spiritual realizations.
When someone says they "feel" something or it has been "revealed" to them we do not disregard them since such phenomenon do occur.
We cannot relate to findings based upon this ability or allow postings in which its presence is an overriding factor.
Instinctive feelings need to be confirmed.
A doctor might be able to reliably guess what his patient suffers from BUT he needs to confirm this with testing.
So too, you may instinctively feel that you descend from Israel.
This however needs to be backed with the evidence.
Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations seeks to provide that evidence but does not neglect the spiritual call being made to you.
Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations needs to be supported by you.

(1) Do you support Brit-Am-Hebrew Nations? If not, why not?
Some do support Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations? Most do not. We ARE NOT ADDRESSING PEOPLE ON LIMITED INCOMES OR UNDER FINANCIAL DURESS. We are here speaking to those who would be able to contribute to Hebrew Nations to some degree but refrain from doing so.
Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations is in need of ongoing financial support.
Brit-Am provides evidence regarding who the Lost Ten Tribes are today and is engaged in continuous research and clarification to provide proofs and verify them as well as honest engagement of all counter-claims. People who believe they are descended from the Lost Ten Tribes and that the basic premises of Brit-Am are correct ones should therefore appreciate Brit-Am and the benefit they receive from it and show their appreciation.
If you agree with us you should support us. We believe a blessing will come to you through doing so.
If we are good enough to spread the truths of Hebraic Ancestry we are good enough to be helped along the way.
================================================
(2) Why do you reject Rabbinical Interpretations even when they are consistent with the Bible?
There should however by a drawing together of Judah and Joseph. Ephraimites SHOULD WANT to agree with Judah.
I would think that this would mean that wherever possible agreed with the Rabbinical interpretations.
Where one disagrees study the subject further.
At all events avoid deliberately not agreeing.
================================================
(3) Why do you not spread the message?
if you believe you are descended from the Lost Ten Tribes you also believe that the same applies to your family and members of your group or at least some of them.
This information is therefore potentially important to them as it is to you.
You should therefore try and spread this knowledge.
This should however be done in good taste and not in ways that may be counter-productive.
Again, Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations is in need of ongoing financial support.
Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations should be supported.
