Ten Tribes Studies (27 November, 2013, 24 Kislev, 5774)
Message from Hosea:
Needed by the Ten Tribes: The Almighty; Kingdom of the House of David; the Temple.
The Midrash (Midrash Shmuel 13, Yalkut Shomeoni-2, remez 106, Rashi on Hosea 3;5) : ##Rabbi Shimeon the son of Menasiah said: Israel will not see a blessing until they return and seek out the three things they rejected. As it says in Hosea:"AFTERWARD SHALL THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL RETURN, AND SEEK THE LORD THEIR GOD, AND DAVID THEIR KING; AND SHALL FEAR THE LORD AND HIS GOODNESS IN THE LATTER DAYS" (Hosea 3:5). This means: [Hosea 3:5] AFTERWARD SHALL THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL RETURN, AND SEEK THE LORD THEIR GOD, - this is the Kingdom of Heaven. AND DAVID THEIR KING; - This is the Kingdom of the House of David. AND SHALL FEAR THE LORD AND HIS GOODNESS IN THE LATTER DAYS: This is the building of the Third Temple.
This Week
Day 1: Hosea 1:1 to
Day 2: Hosea 6:2 to
Day 3: Hosea 10:12 to
Day 4: 14:6 to end of Chapter at 14:10.

Day 2:
Hosea 6
The Third Redemption with the building of the Third Temple will be final and there will be no more exiles after that. Religious leaders must acknowledge the truth and be respected. The People of Gilead and Manasseh had a propensity to violence which is still apparent today in North America. A portion of Judah will prepare the way in the Land of Israel for the rest of Judah and for all the Ten Tribes. The USA and other Israelite Nations should support the State of Israel and encourage the settlements instead of doing the opposite as they have been.

[HOSEA 6:11] ALSO, O JUDAH, HE HATH SET AN HARVEST FOR THEE, WHEN I RETURNED THE CAPTIVITY OF MY PEOPLE.
Rabbi Zvi Kalischer:
And so the Prophet Hosea predicted,
"ALSO, JUDAH HAS SET A HARVEST FOR YOU, WHEN I RETURNED THE CAPTIVITY OF MY PEOPLE" (HOSEA 6:11).
"[Commentators in the past found the above verse difficult to explain] but in my view it is easily understandable according to the context [since the preceding verses] speak of Ephraim who beyond doubt represents the Lost Ten Tribes throughout the relevant chapter. Hosea [in this same chapter six] also says "in the third day he will raise us up" (Hosea 6;2) which according to Rashi is referring to the "Building of the Third Temple". After that the Prophet continues his exhortation and says, "O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee?" (Hosea 6;4) and continues in the same vein he had previously began [which was connected with the "third day" and interpreted as applying to Building the Third Temple]. The Prophet then says [the above quoted verse, Hosea 6;11], addressing himself to Ephraim, "Also, Judah has set a harvest for you, when I returned the captivity of my people" (i.e. of Ephraim). Prior to the coming of a great community, Judah [i.e. the Jews] will prepare a harvest before you (Ephraim), after that there will be a great ingathering, and afterwards indubitably will come the [preliminary] Messiah, Son of Joseph, and rule in Jerusalem. Some time later, will arrive Gog [who will wage war against Israel and be defeated] and so the Name of the Almighty will be sanctified:
"IN THAT DAY SHALL THERE BE ONE LORD, AND HIS NAME ONE" (ZECHARIAH 14;9).
"FOR THEN WILL I TURN TO THE PEOPLE A PURE LANGUAGE, THAT THEY MAY ALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD, TO SERVE HIM WITH ONE CONSENT" (ZEPHANIAH 3;9).

Day 2:
Hosea 7
Corruption amongst the leadership and connivance at violence and robbery bring about the downfall of Ephraim. The leaders are betrayed by their followers who lay in wait for an opportune moment to betray them. Ephraim will assimilate amongst the Gentiles. He will loose his strength and be betrayed by the foreign allies he trusted in. Despite being visited by calamities Ephraim does not repent. The exile of the Ten Tribes and an outline of why they are to be identified as part of the Cimmerian, Scythian, and Gothic coalition is given.

Day 2:
Hosea 8
Anti-Jewish attacks by the Romans, Poles, and Germans are symbolized by the eagle. The chapter starts with Judah then turns to the Ten Tribes though at the second last verse it refers to Judah again and in the last verse to Israel and Judah together. The northern Israelites abandoned the God of Israel and set up their own religion and their own corrupt rulers. The calf of Samaria will be broken in pieces and disaster come upon them. They will be exiled by Assyria and assimilate amongst the Gentiles. Even the Gentiles will not want them and will cast them out. Despite the fact that they will be like Gentiles, God will have mercy on them, forgive them their sins and gather them together. They shall be given a "second" chance in their Place of Exile. They will be addicted to idolatry because they want permission to sin. This will be their undoing. They will have rejected the Bible and treated it as something written for foreigners and not for themselves. Judah will also have sinned and be punished.

Day 2:
Hosea 9
Special laws apply to Israelites that are not relevant to other peoples. Israel will be punished for its idolatry and wrongdoing even though other peoples are not. Some of the Ten Tribes went to Egypt. In Assyrian Exile the Israelites will no longer keep the Law. Acts of terrorism of disastrous proportions will be committed against Ephraim by the followers of Mahomed who will be associated with "Egypt" and/or with Russia. Maimonides in his "Letter to Yemen" spoke against Islam and identified Mahomed as the "Mad Man", evil prophet, and religious leader prophesied about in Hosea ch.9. Abortion brings a curse on Israel. Ephraim will have been connected to the Phoenician city of Tyre who will betray them, cause their children to be slaughtered, and help the Assyrians transport them overseas. Ephraim will be forced to move from place to place.

THE SPIRITUAL MAN: Hebrew "ish [important] ha-Ruach [of spirit]" may also be understood to say "spiritual leader".
MAD: Hebrew "meshuga". Maimonides [d. 1204 CE] uses this same expression when he refers to Mohammed founder of Islam.
Excerpt from Maimonides,
"Letter to Yemen" concerning Mohammed and Islam
# Let Ye understand, my brothers, the Holy One Blessed HE through the trap created by our iniquities cast us amongst this nation, the people of Ishmael [Muslim Arabs] whose oppressiveness is firmly upon us and they connive to do us wrong and despicably downgrade us as the Almighty decreed against us (Deuteronomy 32:31, "Your enemies shall judge you"). There never came against Israel a more antagonistic nation. They oppress us with the most oppressive measures to lessen our number, reduce us, and make us as despicable as they themselves are. King David, may he rest in peace, saw through Divine Inspiration all the calamities that were destined to come upon Israel. Nevertheless [even though he saw all the other troubles], he still began to shout out and lament in the name of the whole nation against the oppression that would be occasioned by the Ishmaelites. David said, "WOE IS ME, THAT I SOJOURN IN MESECH, THAT I DWELL IN THE TENTS OF KEDAR!" [Psalms 120:5]. Notice how David emphasizes "Kedar" out of all the other Children of Ishmael. This is because that Mad Man [Hebrew: "meshuga"] came from Kedar according to what has been published concerning his geneaology.#
End Quote.
Maimonides is referring to the fact that Mohammed was from the Koresh clan of Arabs and they claimed descent from Kedar son of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13).
-Maimonides continues to explain from Daniel 8:10 that Ishmael will ultimately be defeated by Israel.

# The said verses may well contain a hint that Ephraim will attempt some type of rapport with "the god of the prophet" and this will not turn out well. #
