in a television encounter with Peace Now spokesman Yariv Openheimer, Tuvia Tenebom said that the financial records of Peace Now show that they have no Israeli support but receive all their money from Germany. Openheimer did not appear surprised by the allegation and did not bother to deny it. On the contrary, he seemed to acknowledge and defend it. Openheimer said it was a German interest to further the Peace Process.
Tenenbom also reported that the Germans have not changed and that the motivation of European anti-Israeli activism is pure anti-Semitism.
Tenenbom himself lives in Germany.
According to him the situation now with the German public is the same as it was on the eve of WW2.
Tenenbom (occasionally spelt Tanenbaum) posed as a Gentile German journalist to gain the confidence of Arab and Israeli left-wingers and has now written a book about his experiences.

Rumor of a journalist writing a book quickly spreads, and journalist is quickly invited by Palestinian leaders in Judea and Samaria. Jibril Rajoub tells him how Israel is a fascist state and will be isolated. But when the camera's finally off and things warm up, he admits- "We're all Germans, with German blood, we're like you. Too bad Rommel didn't arrive here".

2. PM Netanyahu's Rosh Hashana Greeting to Jewish Communities Around the World
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Rosh Hashana Greeting to Jewish Communities Around the World (Communicated by the Prime Minister's Media Adviser) Video: http://youtu.be/mANtJ1FUVfc Following are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Rosh Hashana greetings to Jewish communities around the world: "My friends, As Jews celebrate the New Year around the world, we can take pride in all that unites us. The Jewish people indeed always unite when faced with great challenges, and the past year was no exception. Over the past few months, three of our teenagers were kidnapped and brutally murdered, thousands of rockets were fired at our country and too many of our bravest young men and their families made the most painful of sacrifices in Operation Protective Edge. Throughout all that, we witnessed tremendous support for Israel from Jewish communities everywhere. And at the same time, we in Israel know that it has been a difficult period for many of your Jewish communities. You face increasingly virulent and even violent anti-Semitism. So on behalf of the people of Israel, I thank you for supporting our just campaign to defend ourselves; to provide the sustained peace and security that all Israelis deserve. And I assure you that we in Israel will continue to stand by your side as you confront hatred and intolerance. Jews everywhere must be able to live proudly and without fear. As we celebrate Rosh Hashana with our families and friends, we should also celebrate the strength we derive from our commitment to one other. That strength will serve us well as we meet the challenges,  and also the remarkable opportunnities  of the New Year. Israel is an amazing success story. The Jewish people are again sovereign and free in our own homeland. Together we have built a vibrant democracy, a robust economy, a global technological powerhouse. In the New Year, Israel will remain a beacon of freedom and human rights in an intolerant area; Israel will continue to be a source of innovation to the benefit of the entire planet; and Israel will not give up its dream of a secure and enduring peace with all our neighbors. Israel will remain a source of pride and strength for Jews, no matter where they live and I have no doubt that the future of the Jewish people is one of hope and promise. So on this holiday of Rosh Hashana, that is definitely something we can all celebrate. Shana Tova to all of you".

3. How Qatar is funding the rise of Islamist extremists

Extracts:
Few outsiders have noticed, but radical Islamists now control Libya's capital. These militias stormed Tripoli last month, forcing the official government to flee and hastening the country's collapse into a failed state.
Moreover, the new overlords of Tripoli are allies of Ansar al-Sharia, a brutal jihadist movement suspected of killing America's then ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and of trying to murder his British counterpart, Sir Dominic Asquith.
Barely three years after Britain helped to free Libya from Col Gaddafi's tyranny, anti-Western radicals hold sway. How could Britain's goal of a stable and friendly Libya have been thwarted so completely?
Step forward a fabulously wealthy Gulf state that owns an array of London landmarks and claims to be one of our best friends in the Middle East.
Qatar, the owner of Harrods, has dispatched cargo planes laden with weapons to the victorious Islamist coalition, styling itself 'Libya Dawn'.
Western officials have tracked the Qatari arms flights as they land in the city of Misrata, about 100 miles east of Tripoli, where the Islamist militias have their stronghold. Even after the fall of the capital and the removal of Libya's government, Qatar is 'still flying in weapons straight to Misrata airport', said a senior Western official.
So it is that Qatar buys London property while working against British interests in Libya and arming friends of the jihadists who tried to kill one of our ambassadors. A state that partly owns 1 Hyde Park, London's most expensive apartment block, and the Shard, the city's tallest building, is working with people who would gladly destroy Western society.
The remarkable truth is that few in the Middle East would be shocked. From Hamas in the Gaza Strip to radical armed movements in Syria, Qatar's status as a prime sponsor of violent Islamists, including groups linked to al-Qaeda, is clear to diplomats and experts.
Qatar's promotion of extremism has so infuriated its neighbours that Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates all chose to withdraw their ambassadors from the country in March.
Take Syria, where Qatar has been sponsoring the rebellion against Bashar al-Assad's regime. In itself, that policy places Qatar alongside the leading Western powers and much of the Arab world.
But Qatar has deliberately channelled guns and cash towards Islamist rebels, notably a group styling itself Ahrar al-Sham, or 'Free Men of Syria'. ..
Far from being a force for moderation, Ahrar al-Sham played a key role in transforming the anti-Assad revolt into an Islamist uprising. Its men fought alongside Jabhat al-Nusra, an al-Qaeda affiliate, during the battle for Aleppo and they were accused of at least one sectarian massacre.
Instead of fighting Isil, Ahrar al-Sham helped the jihadists to run Raqqa, the town in eastern Syria that is now the capital of the self-proclaimed 'Caliphate'. This cooperation with Isil happened for some months until the two groups fell out last year.
Qatar's investment in Britain is so extensive, and the Foreign Office is so anxious to win its favour, that some question whether UK diplomats will have the resolve to ask robust questions. 'If diplomats are focused on winning commercial contracts, there is a danger they will be reluctant to ask tough questions on the funding of unsavoury groups,' said Mr Barclay.
Four branches of the Qatari government handle relations with armed groups in Syria and Libya: the foreign ministry, the defence ministry, the country's intelligence agency, and the personal office of the ruler, Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
In the case of Syria, Qatar's chosen method for supporting its favoured insurgents is to pass large sums to middlemen in Turkey. These figures then use the money to buy weapons from third countries, notably Croatia, and arrange for their onward transfer to rebels in Syria.
Last month, Gerd Muller, the German international development minister, implicated Qatar in the rise of Isil. 'You have to ask who is arming, who is financing Isil troops. The keyword there is Qatar,' he said.
Yet a state endowed with large reserves of gas and oil and one of the world's biggest sovereign wealth funds can wield immense influence, even over Berlin. Qatar was duly able to secure a formal withdrawal of this charge from the German government.
On Wednesday, the 34-year-old Emir of Qatar, who was educated at Harrow and Sandhurst, took pains to deny the accusation while standing alongside Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor. 'What is happening in Iraq and Syria is extremism and such organisations are partly financed from abroad, but Qatar has never supported and will never support terrorist organisations,' he said.
The credibility of that denial depends partly on how you define a 'terrorist organisation'. Qatar has let Hamas, the armed Palestinian movement, base its political leadership in Doha since 2012. Qatar's government has funded Hamas and the previous Emir paid an official visit to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip in 2012.
As a small country with relatively weak armed forces and 250,000 citizens, Qatar is trying to guarantee its security by reaching in every direction. As well as providing an office for Hamas, Qatar also hosts the forward headquarters of US Central Command and the al-Udeid military airbase, serving as the hub for all American air operations in the region.
Qatar has not completely ignored the concerns of its Western allies. When it transferred surplus arms from Libya to rebels in Syria, Qatari officials weeded out any surface-to-air missiles, in obedience to America's demand to prevent the supply of this particular category of weapon.

4. US endorses Israel as 'major strategic partner'
http://www.i24news.tv/en/news/international/44406-140919-us-endorses-israel-as-major-strategic-partner
Senate unanimously passes bill granting Israel a series of economic, security benefits
US Senate on Thursday unanimously approved a bill upgrading the ties with Israel and designating the long-time ally as a "major strategic partner."
The full title of the bill, which passed a House of Representatives vote in May with a 410 to 1 majority, is the US-Israel Strategic Partnership Act.
The new law will upgrade Israel's status, granting it a series of economic and security benefits, boosting cooperation in energy, water, science, homeland security and agriculture.
Militarily, Israel stands to gain advanced combat aircraft and military tanker transports, as well as priority in receiving American weapons surpluses. The bill also provides for assistance for the Iron Dome missile defense system.
The bill's co-author Missouri Senator Roy Blunt said he was "pleased the Senate has passed this bipartisan bill to reaffirm and broaden the important US-Israel alliance through security, energy, and trade during this critical time in the Middle East region."
Unlike a previous version of the bill, the one that passed did not include a visa waiver program for Israeli citizens as it has yet to satisfy the requirements.
Israel and the United States are at odds for years over the US Visa Waiver Program -- a collection of 38 other countries whose citizens don't need a pre-approved visa to visit America.
Israel has been pressing America to allow it to join the prestigious program, but its efforts have so far been in vain, and it has even seen a rise in the number of its citizens denied entry to the US.

5. Australia. Afghani ISIS attack on Policemen
September 23, 2014 Abdul Numan Haider was shot by police in Endeavour Hills Melbourne, Austrlia, after injuring two police officers with a knife. Both officers face a long recovery but should be all right. One policeman was in jured int he arm, the other in the body and head.
Haider is of Afghan oriign.
Abdul Numan Haider was associated with the controversial Al-Fuqan Islamic Centre in Springvale that was caught up in anti-terrorism raids two years ago.
Eighteen-year-old Mr Haider was shot dead by police after allegedly slashing two officers with a knife shortly before 8pm on Tuesday. Another knife and a flag were later found on his body.
Haider was being investigated by the joint anti-terrorism taskforce in the lead-up to his death. Reports have suggested Mr Haider became increasingly frustrated with authorities and reached a boiling point after learning police had searched his home while he was out, hours before the tragic confrontation.
The 18-year-old attacker, Abdul Numan Haider, a recent graduate from Springvale Islamic College "planned to behead officers and post the images online". While his attack on the police was done with a small knife, he had a larger knife as well as an Islamic State flag on his person. He was shot to death by police from the Joint Counter Terrorism team after he stabbed two of them.

6. NORWAY: ISIS TERRORISTS 'PLANNED TO BEHEAD ENTIRE FAMILY'
by Ari Soffer
A group of Danish Muslim extremists sympathetic to the "Islamic State" terrorist group (IS) planned to murder an entire family and film it as a "warning" to Western states intervening against IS in Iraq and Syria.
According to Norway's NRK TV channel the group of Islamists intended to break into a random home, slit the throats of all the residents and post the footage online.
The horrific plot is reminiscent of a similar one recently foiled in Australia, where a group of pro-IS Islamist terrorists planned to kidnap and behead a random member of the public and distribute footage of the gruesome killing in "revenge" for anti-IS airstrikes. The jihadis reportedly planned to wrap their victim in the Islamic State flag before murdering him.
Norwegian officials have declined to comment on the terror plot in their country, but it comes after a major terror alert in July which forced mass searches at border crossings and the closure of Olso's main synagogue as a security precaution.
A Norwegian terror expert confirmed to the Norwegian-language fyens.dk site that "multiple sources" had confirmed the existence of such a plot.
Alarmingly, not long ago another Norwegian newspaper, Verdens Gang, claimed security services were on the alert for a group of IS terrorists on their way to the country to carry out an attack against Norwegian civilians involving knives. Four suspected terrorists reportedly landed in Athens, Greece, on their way to carry out the attack, but their current whereabouts are unknown according to the paper.

7. Sunday is the Fast of Gedaliah
By: Jewish Press News Briefs
Published: September 27th, 2014
On Sunday, Jews will be refraining from food and drink from dawn until sunset to commemorate the Fast of Gedaliah.
Following Nebuchadnetzar's destruction of the First Temple and exile of most of the Jews, the Babylonians appointed Gedaliah ben Achikaam as governor of Judea.
Under Gedaliah's leadership, Judea and the survivors began to recover.
On Rosh Hashana, Yishmael Ben Netaniah (a descendant of the royal house) and his team of assassins murdered Gedaliah and those with him. This directly led to the end of Jewish autonomy in Judea, the slaughter of thousands of Jews, and eventually, the end of all Jewish life in the Land of Israel for decades, until the end of the Babylonian exile.
While the assassination occurred on Rosh Hashana, the fast day was placed on the third day of the month of Tishrei, immediately following Rosh Hashana.
In 5775, the 3rd day falls on Shabbat, so the fast gets pushed off to Sunday.
The story is recounted in the Book of Yirmiyahu, chapters 41-43.

Brit-Am Comment:
The Fast of Gedaliah is one of the four fasts which it was prophesied that Judah would keep in its state of exile.
