Donald Trump is often portrayed as the most sadistic narcissist who has ever walked the face of the earth - a guy who would never do anything for anyone.
However, Trump actually has a history of helping desperate people. Somewhat shockingly, he does not brag about these stories, and the media certainly won't report on them now.
Here is one example of how he tried to save the life of a child by lending out his private plane to someone he had never met:
JTA article from 1988:
Orthodox Child with Rare Ailment is Rescued Aboard Tycoon's Jet
Hamodia article from 2016 (shortly after the election), written by the child's father:
Donald Trump's Early Thanksgiving - Hamodia Jewish and Israel News
In the article, Hershy Ten recounts:
I am compelled to retell a very personal story featuring the extraordinary kindness Donald Trump showed to me and my family many years ago. I share this with the hope that it may inspire some readers to take a step back from the incessant negativity perpetuated by the media; to take a breath before reiterating another sensationalized headline that's solely designed to distract, and learn the firsthand account of two parents whose desperate call to a New York icon on behalf of their critically ill son was answered without hesitation.
My history with Donald Trump began in July 1988. At that time my wife and I had been living in Los Angeles for five years after moving from New York. Our beautiful 3-year-old son , Avraham Moshe, was suffering from a severe lung condition.
When Avraham Moshe's doctors found themselves at a loss to remedy his pain and suffering, I looked to my former home of New York with the hope that a set of fresh eyes could offer a chance at recovery. However, in order to pursue this we needed to fly my son across the country, but no private or commercial airline would do so due to potential liabilities, and our health insurance wouldn't cover the cost. So there we were, with seemingly nowhere else to turn; but the thought of doing nothing was not an option.
In the 1980s, Donald Trump's fame was well known to me, and well known to most of the world. So when I once again awoke early one morning to the familiar sight of my son struggling to breathe, I decided to take a bold step: I picked up the phone and called Donald Trump's office, spoke with him, and bluntly asked him to lend us his private plane for this mission of mercy. Without knowing me and without hesitation, he said yes.
A week later, Donald Trump's 727 landed in Los Angeles and flew me, my wife, and my son, along with three ICU nurses, to LaGuardia Airport. We landed at sunrise and were greeted by our family members on the tarmac, as well as an army of reporters. Bear in mind that at this time there was no social media or internet; nevertheless, the news was out and the New York press was abuzz with the story of the famous entrepreneur's generosity, with dozens of headlines such as, 'Trump to the rescue of tyke' and 'On two wings and a prayer.' Sadly, there was no new hope that could be provided to our son, and weeks later we returned home on the same plane. Though Avraham Moshe bravely battled for his life for years to come, he passed away just months shy of his bar mitzvah - yehi zichro baruch.
While my son's z"l outcome was devastating, Mr. Trump's enormous act of chessed [kindness] rendered me forever grateful and gave me unique insight into his character. Since that first contact, we were indelibly connected and remain so to this day. For almost three decades I've dropped by his office to say hello and not a year has passed without us exchanging wishes of a L'shanah Tovah and a Gut Yahr. Those who know me personally and in my role as president of Bikur Cholim (Los Angeles) know that I've carried the impact of his kindness with me every day.
Trump certainly has his failings. He is not exactly a paragon of humility, and can be quite nasty to anyone who gets in his way (a la Jeb Bush). He may have knee jerk reactions and say things that get him into trouble. But he is not the soulless one dimensional caricature portrayed by the media.

2. Temple Mount Incident and Its Immediate Aftermath
Hi Yair.
Greetings.
Do you have an insight / opinion on the latest events at the
Temple Mount.
Best Regards

Brit-Am Reply:
The Temple Mount is the site of the First and Second Temples.
The Muslims at present which to deny there was ever a Jewish presence there.
Israel seeking to normalize relations with Jordan and Moderate Muslims gave the WAKF (Palestinian Religious Police)Â limited administrative rights over the Mount.
This is co-ordinated with Jordan which also claims certain rights over the Temple site.
The WAKF has consistently exploited its privileges to incite and inspire terror against Israel.
WAKF officials allowed Arab terrorists to plant weapons in hiding places on the Temple Mount.
These weapons were then used to murder two Israel Border Policemen from the non-Jewish Arabic-speaking Druze community.
The terrorists were eliminated.
Israel Police closed down the Temple mount site for the first time in years, to investigate the incident, search for weapons and security breaches. Free access for Muslims to the site has since officially resumed but the Arabs are in part now boycotting the site.
As a result of the incident Israeli intended to set up metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount. Similar machines have been operating for years at the entrance to the Wailing Wall plaza and throughout Israel e.g. Post Offices, Government offices, shopping malls, etc. [Also throughout the Arab world numerous metal detectors are in place for security reasons at the entrance to mosques.]
The Wakf claimed the metal detectors were an fringment on its imagined sovereignty over the area. Riots and incitement throughout the Arab world resilted. In Jordan a 16 year old Arab boy of Palestinian extraction apparently affected by the incitement stabbed an Israeli security officer in the back with a screw driver. The incident took place in a residency neighboring the Israeli Embassy. The house was being rent out to the Embassy by a local doctor. The doctor had let the terrorist into the house ostensibly to carry out repairs. The security officer shot his attacker and then accidentally also shot the doctor. Jordan insisted on its right to interrogate the security officer.
Israel claimed diplomatic immunity and tried to bring both its ambassador and the Security Officer back to Israel.
In the end the security officer submitted to some kind of questioning and was released. The Security officer and the Ambassador returned to Israel.
It seems the metal detectors may not be installed. Some kind of smart camera may be set up instead. The WAKF refuses to encountenance neither metal detectors nor cameras. Turkey is also involved and is encouraging intransigence on the part of the local Arabs.
The attack in Jordan on the Israeli Security Officer should be seen in light of the attack at Halomish which occurred at about the same time and was also apparently caused by incitement over the Temple Mount.
In this attack three Israelis (a grandmother, her daughter, and her son) eating their Sabbath evening meal were killed by a lone Arab attacker. A woman and her three little children who were also in the house were saved by a miracle.
See:
"The perpetrator was identified by Palestinian media as Omar Al-Abed al-Jalil (19), from Kobar, near Ramallah. Two hours before the attack, Omar Al-Abed al-Jalil had called for the defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque located on the Temple Mount on his Facebook page."

3. ISRAEL'S BEN GURION AIRPORT IS ONE OF WORLD'S BEST
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport is one of the best in the world, New York-based Travel + Leisure magazine wrote.
The US magazine asked readers to share their opinions on the world's airports, and to rate each one's access, check-in, design, food, security, and shopping. The ten top picks are then featured in the company's annual World's Best Awards publication.
Ben Gurion Airport listed number 8 in the publication's list of "The Top 10 International Airports," falling from sixth place in 2016 and receiving a total rating of 79.40 (out of a possible 100).
Ranked below Israel were Abu Dhabi International (in the UAE) and Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
Meanwhile, Singapore's Changi Airport took first place for the fifth year in a row, with a score of 90. The airport offers lounges to nap in, gardens, a rooftop pool, shower rooms, and a movie theater - all free.
2016 saw 18 million passengers pass through Ben Gurion Airport, making it the airport's busiest year ever. The renovated Terminal 1 opened in June, servicing low-cost flights to and from Israel.
