About Christian Persecution in Nigeria
Sadly, Nigeria has become known as the world's center of Christian martyrs. In any given year, the number of Christians killed by extremist groups is rarely less than 4,000, often more than in the rest of the world combined.
Violence against the Nigerian Christian population is significantly localized in the north, where twelve Muslim-majority states declared sharia law in 1999, resulting in huge numbers of Christians experiencing daily discrimination. But it was the rise of an extremist movement called Boko Haram, which first started its murderous attacks in 2009, that resulted in Christians experiencing unprecedented violence.
According to an April 2023 report by the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, at least 52,250 persecuted Christians have been killed in the past fourteen years, simply for the crime of being Christian. In the past five years, violence has spread southwards to the middle belt of Nigeria, with radicalized Fulani herdsmen killing Christians to steal their land.
Boko Haram has now been joined by another extremist group operative in the area, called the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), and both seek the eradication of Christianity from the northern states.
The violence has resulted in refugees now numbering over four million, mostly Christian farmers. The government of Nigeria has proved unwilling to condemn the levels of violence, which some call genocidal, or inept in its attempts to engage and neutralize extremist movements.

2. National Religious Jewish Soldiers are 40% of the Casualties.
National Religious Jewish Soldiers in Israel are from out of ca. 12% of the population but comprise 40% of the frontline troops (who are mostly volunteers), 50% of the frontline officers, and within those frameworks often the most active.

Foreign Secretary David Lambie, he
wrote this letter to the chair of the
International Development Committee last
week saying that an assessment carried
out by the Foreign Office had concluded
that Israel's actions did not constitute
genocide.
News Reporter:
So, we have to recognize what is going
on here is warfare that is taking place
in civilian scenarios where actually
Hamas's actions are designed to cause
harm to Palestinian civilians and then
to utilize that to blame Israel. Hamas
actually uses their own children as
human shields in a sick display of child
sacrifice.

Extract:
Teshuvah literally means 'return,' but whom, or perhaps what, are we returning to? The Gemara (Kiddushin 39b) explains that Hashem created teshuvah before creating the world itself. What is the meaning of this enigmatic statement, and what lessons and implications does it have for us as we proceed through the teshuvah process?
The Practical Form of Teshuvah
The Rambam (Rambam, Mishneh Torah, Teshuvah 1:1) discusses the three-step process of teshuvah:
First, one must reflect on their past and acknowledge that a problem exists.
One must then transition into the present and strongly feel the pain of their mistake, regretting it wholeheartedly.
Finally, one must look toward the future and resolve to never again commit this same mistake.

5. IDF General: "It's Time To Stop Appointing Messianic Leftists To Senior Security Positions"
https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/israel-news/2451624/idf-general-its-time-to-stop-appointing-messianic-leftists-to-senior-security-positions.html
Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter, a former Givati commander who is part of the Religious Zionist sector, published a Facebook post on Tuesday slamming senior security officials who advanced a failed security concept for years that led to the October 7 massacre but dare oppose the appointment of Maj. Gen. David Zini as the head of the Shin Bet.
Zini, who also belongs to the Religious Zionist sector, is one of the few senior IDF officials who warned of the possibility of an October 7-style incursion prior to October 7, 2023. Nonetheless, a powerful leftist campaign, including senior Shin Bet officials, is being waged against him, with nebulous claims that he has "messianic" views and his "beliefs about the judicial system will harm Israel's democratic values."
Winter wrote, "It's time to stop appointing messianic people to the most senior positions in the country. For three decades, a political-security policy was advanced here by extremist messianists who refused to face reality. They were the ones who sold us Oslo as a vision of peace, and instead we got terror and hundreds of murdered victims in suicide bombings. They were the ones who sold us the vision of two states for two peoples, and instead we got exploding buses and hundreds of so-called "victims of peace."'
"These messianists caused us to flee Lebanon, abandoned our South Lebanon Army allies, and abandoned Lebanon to Hezbollah's terror army. These messianists told us with nice words that we had to 'disengage' from Gaza, but in reality, it was the expulsion of Jews: working people, farmers, the salt of the earth, men of peace, and the abandonment of Gaza to the Hamas terror organization."
"For years these messianists have explained that we must reach a deal that quiet will be answered with quiet, when in practice it meant disgraceful capitulation to Gaza terror, which is what brought the October 7 massacre upon us."
"These messianists are the ones who today dare to talk about the danger of appointing a 'messianic' head of the Shin Bet, without a drop of humility. David Zini is a courageous soldier and commander who has seen and still sees reality clearly. He has proven time and again through his actions that he is more than worthy to be the head of the Shin Bet. He knows who the enemy is and will never succumb to illusions of false quiet."
"It's time to stop labeling people according to irrelevant criteria. Enough. A little more humility. It's time for a realist to stand at the head of the Shin Bet. For the sake of Am Yisrael. For the future of our children. Together, and only together, we will be victorious."
