My Surname is Conley. The original spelling is Connelly. The prefix Conn of my surname comes from the prefix of the word Connacht, which comes from the Hebrew word Cohen.

Brit-Am Reply:
Hillel from Benjamin.
Hillel through his father was from the Tribe of Benjamin and through his mother from Judah and belonging to the family of David (Talmud, Ketubot 62b). This connection to David is still remembered and apparently is something to be proud of. Nevertheless Hillel belonged to the Tribe of Benjamin and not of Judah.
Hillel was very important in Jewish History.
Here are excerpts with minor adaptations from a Wikipedia article about HIlel:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillel_the_Elder
Hillel was born according to tradition in Babylon c. 110 BCE, died 10 CE in Jerusalem) was a Jewish religious leader, sage and scholar associated with the development of the Mishnah and the Talmud and the founder of the House of Hillel school of Tannaim [early Mishna authorities].
[The Talmud is comprisied of the Mishna which provides a succinct summarization of Relgious Legal decisions and legal opinion. The Mishan together with the Gemara make the Talmud. The Gemara is a more expansive explanation of the Mishna together with other material somehow or other connected with the subject at hand].
Hillel is popularly known as the author of two sayings: (1) "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And being for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"[4] and (2) the expression of the ethic of reciprocity, or "Golden Rule": "That which is hateful to you, do not do unto your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is commentary; now go and learn."
At the age of forty Hillel went to the Land of Israel; forty years he spent in study; and the last third of his life he was the spiritual head of the Jewish people.[9] A biographical sketch can be constructed; that Hillel went to Jerusalem in the prime of his life and attained a great age. His 40 years of leadership likely covered the period of 30 BCE to 10 CE.
According to the Midrash Hillel lived to be 120 years old, like Moses, Yohanan ben Zakkai, and Rabbi Akiva.
The Golden Rule
The comparative response to the challenge of a prospective convert who asked that the Torah be explained to him while he stood on one foot, illustrates the character differences between Shammai and Hillel. Shammai dismissed the man. Hillel gently chastised the man, saying: "What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn."[19] This rule and the similar Leviticus 19:18: "Love your fellow as you love yourself" are often referred to as The Golden Rule.
Other maxims:
"Don't trust yourself until the day you die".
"Do not judge your fellow until you are in his place."
"Whosoever destroys one soul, it is as though he had destroyed the entire world. And whosoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved the entire world."
"A name gained is a name lost."
"Where there are no men, strive to be a man!"
"My humiliation is my exaltation; my exaltation is my humiliation."

3. What Does the Arbroath Declaration of Scotland Really Say?

Celtic-Hebrew Tribes

ORDWIFEY
I live in a part of Scotland called The Hebrides. The declaration of arbroath clarifies that we are indeed from Israel. Most Holy Father, we know and from the chronicles and books of the ancients we find that among other famous nations our own, the Scots, has been graced with widespread renown. It journeyed from Greater Scythia by way of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Pillars of Hercules, and dwelt for a long course of time in Spain among the most savage peoples, but nowhere could it be subdued by any people, however barbarous. Thence it came, twelve hundred years after the people of Israel crossed the Red Sea, to its home in the west where it still lives today. The Britons it first drove out, the Picts it utterly destroyed, and, even though very often assailed by the Norwegians, the Danes and the English, it took possession of that home with many victories and untold efforts; and, as the histories of old time bear witness, they have held it free of all servitude ever since. In their kingdom there have reigned one hundred and thirteen kings of their own royal stock, the line unbroken by a single foreigner."
Brit-Am Reply:
They probably were Hebrews and the Declaration may have been intended to say so BUT it does not do so expressly. It sound ambiguous.
All it definitely says is that they came from Scythia and this was 1200 years after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. It is not clear whether or not it is intended to say that they were Israelites themselves.

Dinah the daughter of Jacob was abducted and cruelly raped by a local heathen prince. The brothers of Dinah, Simeon ad Levi, induced the Prince to have his subjects circumcised. They were then massacred. What really happened? Was it justified or not? Who was guilty? Were Ephraim and Manasseh related to the wicked prince? Can good people come from bad blood?

5. Scot from Scotland named Manasseh!
Greetings Yair,
I found your channel on YouTube and want to thank you for your work. Interestingly, my family is largely Scottish (my mother's mom's family name was Atkinson) in origin (lowlands) and my name is Scott. I watched a lot of your videos and they resonated with me because I converted to Judaism. Crazy enough already, but my Hebrew name is Manasseh! I was reading that it is believed lowland Scots could come from this tribe...do you have any information about this? I'm absolutely floored.
Anyway, again thank you for your work.

Jacob (aka Israel) Kept the Law of Tithing: Jacob linked his tithing to a Return to the House of his Father. We can do the same.
Genesis (NIV) 28:
18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.
19 He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, 'If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear
21 so that I return safely to my father's household, then the LORD will be my God
22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's House, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.'
Malachi 3:
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,
Says the LORD of hosts,
'If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
Proverbs 3:
9 Honor the LORD with your wealth
and with the first of all your produce,
10 so your barns will be filled with abundance,
and your vats will burst open with new wine.
