#5. The Real Stone?
There are claims that there once really was a sacred stone used for the coronation of the Kings of Ireland, and/or after that maybe also, for those of Scotland. According to this, the stone brought from Scotland to England by Edward-1, in 1290 CE, was a copy of the original, or an alternate to it used for something else. Who knows? The Stone of Scone is important more because of what it symbolizes. It shows an attachment and association of the British Public with the Patriarch Jacob, who was renamed Israel (Genesis 33:28. 35:10), and the British People. It also shows a wish to see the Monarchy of Britain as a Biblical entity.

The Legend of Tea Tephi Tells of a daughter of King Zedekiah of Judah. The King was a descendant of King David. The Babylonians had conquered Jerusalem and they put all sons of the King to death. Only his daughters were left. The Prophet Jeremiah and his disciple, Baruch Ben Neriah, fled with the girls to Egypt. From there they moved to Spain, and from Spain to Ireland. One of the girls was named Tea Tephi. She married Heremon who became king of Ireland. Their descendants moved to Scotland and intermarried with the Royal House of England eventually inheriting the English Throne. In this way the present monarchs of the UK may claim descent through the female line from the House of David. What is the significance of this tale?

The stories of Tea Tephi and the Stone of Scone both relate to descendants of David. There may be some truth to both tales. Even if there is not they emanate from a genuine awareness of descent from Israel and that the offspring of King David is to be found among them. This is in accord with the Prophecy of Jeremiah 33:17 "...DAVID SHALL NEVER WANT A MAN TO SIT UPON THE THRONE OF ISRAEL.

Craig White is a friend of ours and was an early supporter.
Mr McNair on at least once occasion sent us a friendly note.
So too, his widow sent us a letter of encouragement in memory of her husband.
Our approaches to the subject were a little different but on the whole we agreed. We also benefited from information and insights of from the work of Robert McNair.

Jacob (aka Israel) Kept the Law of Tithing: Jacob linked his tithing to a Return to the House of his Father. We can do the same.
Genesis (NIV) 28:
18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.
19 He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, 'If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear
21 so that I return safely to my father's household, then the LORD will be my God
22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's House, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.'
