2. Michelle Bowie: Esau and Ishmael Equals Double Trouble!
Re: The Chiefs of Edom and Germany 1-Chronicles 1:35-52
Shalom Yair,
Excellent historical breakout of Edom!!!
If the lost tribes are ever going to accept who they are, they must also know who they are not!!
Since Esau married not only two Canaanite women but also married into the lineage of Ishmael, it is not difficult to see how much
the hatred of the two sons (Esau and Ishmael) doubles the intensity of disdain toward Jacob and his descendants.
I do not think it any coincidence (since there is none in Hebrew!!) that these same factions of peoples come against
both Christians and Jews, -or- more correctly, the House of Israel and the House of Judah!!!
Toda!!!

Ziel en Geest, daar gaat het om. Heb je wel eens gehoord van een niet-Jood die Jood wilde worden en naar het Rabanoet stapte en daar zei een rav, nou, jongen laat je tenen eens zien. Nee. Jewish blood one finds all over the world. So what? Judaism is not a matter of flesh and blood but of the spirit and the soul.A Jew has a Jewish soul and a Jewish spirit. The big toe of Father Avraham had nothing to do with his G'd uitverkorenschap [ancestor?], the fact that a Covenant ended with him, I have my own toes but not that of Avraham Avraham Avinoe, our father. Soul and spirit, is what this is about. Have you ever heard of a non-Jew Jew who wanted to be and to the Rabanoet rav, well, stepped and there said a boy let your toes even see. No. Love you. Shalom,
I did not really understand your letter but it seems to imply that being descended from Abraham and the Ancient Hebrews may not be such a bog deal. We disagree.
Ancestry is important. We all have characteristics we inherited from our forefathers. If the Bible says we have obligations, blessings, and merits, and possible liabilities because of our foirefathers we should know about them.
You situation in life is partially determined by what you were born with, i.e. what capabilities, predilections, physical abilities or lack of them, changes of mood, talents, etc, are all to some degree a result of inheritance. This influences what you can and cannot do and what life choices you make.
Whether it is fair or not is another question.
It is however part of reality.
If Reality is to include Israelite Ancestry should we not know about it.
The Bible speaks mainly to specific peoples. Prophecy concerns definite entities. It also has a universal message BUT its major concern seems to be the Peoples of Judah and Israel i.e. the Ten Tribes.
The Bible has a message for us. We should know about it and be aware as to who we are.
We agree with you that inheritance is not everything and that everyone has free will and ultimate responsibility for what they do. There is no contradiction,
cf.
"Tana deVey Elyahu", a rabbinical work, "I call Heaven and Earth to bear witness that any person, Jew or Gentile, man or woman, freeman or slave, if his deeds are worthy then the divine inspiration will descend upon him". Remember the prophet and sage, Joel?
cf. Joel 3, "I will pour out my spirit on all flesh".

Hello...
I've been studying the travels of the lost ten tribes from Judah/Israel throughout the Western countries. It is said that all the tribes will eventually reunite at some time in Israel.
My question is this:
How can modern day Israel possibly accommodate ALL the members of the lost ten tribes? Israel is not great is size, after all. It is difficult to image all the Western countries converging on modern day Israel.
Thank you,
Linda Camp

The Land of Israel shall expand to include all the area promised to Abraham and possibly even more than that. Also climatic changes will take place and the capacity of the land will increase.

http://hebrewnations.com/features/now/1917.html#a
Dear Yair,
Shalom.
Re Fredrick Murphy. Many years ago, I came across some figures which revealed that, before the first world war, Britain received ANNUALLY around 4000,000,000 from INVESTMENTS OVERSEAS! This did not take into account normal trading. Britain WAS very wealthy and her influence far exceeded that of the U.S of A. Look at the evidence of extreme wealth in many of the 'stately homes'. They couldn't afford to build such today. Also, the language which has become almost universal was spread because of the influence of the Empire. For whatever reason, I believe God has stripped her of this wealth and could well be doing the same with the U.S. of A. right now.
I no longer have this documented evidence to hand, but I am sure it could be researched. Just thought it may be of interest.
I don't really think Mr. Murphy's statement "America's double fruitful prosperity is unparalleled in history, far outweighing what Britain experienced" - is correct. I may be quite wrong.
Very best regards,
David Barlow N.Z.

HI!
Do you have a article as to why Simeon is not considered part of the Southern Kingdom
but their land shows as the most southern in Israel?

Brit-Am Reply:
From the Bible we gain the impression that Simeon was connected with the northern Ten Tribes e.g.
2-Chronicles 14:
9 Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who dwelt with them from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon, for they came over to him in great numbers from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.
See:
3. Question: When the Ten Tribes were deported did this include Simeon or not?
Also:
see our commentary to Ezekiel 8:18
cf.
Kuntillet Ajrud in the south where archaeological finds and inscriptions (e. g. Yah of Samaria) show a connection to Northern Israel.
We have spoken on this matter comprehensively in our work "The Tribes".
8. Jewish surnames common amongst Afrikaners in S.Africa?
From: OvadYah Avrahami <ovadyah777@gmail.com>
The following letter by a S.African was forwarded to me.
The writer lists many popular S.Afr. Afrikaans surnames, claiming they are 'Jewish'. They did not forward details of the writer. Avraham thought that you may be interested in this. It is strange that S.Afr. pro rata to its white population, is so strongly Hebraic Restoration aware. Totally out of proportion, to my estimation as as a S.Afr ex myself, with other countries.
---------------------------------------------------------
Restoration Emphasis: Restoring the identity of the Forefathers of our People
Extracts Only:
What can surnames tell us?
Lets us take a look at some surnames:
De Beer (Be'er is a well in Hebrew), Gerber, Nieman of (Niemand, Newman), Wiese, Basson, Jordaan, Scholtz,

These are common Afrikaans surnames, yet these names can be found on the Yad Vashem holocaust memorial
website as the surnames of Jews killedin the holocaust 1939-1945. People with the surnames of Brand, Schwartz,
Fuchs, Feldman, Ten Brink (Brink), Engel (Engels), Berger, Burger, Klein, Meyer, Arnold, Alexander, Ferster
(Verster), Salomon (Solomon) Ackerman,Ferreira, Venter, Ziman, Stander, Botha, Stein (Steyn), Klein, Swartz,
Perelman, Burger, Fischer, Pollack,Wasserman, Berg and Kotze.
(It seems as if the surnames Kotze and Katz, may have originated from the same Hebrew name, possibly spelt kaf
-tzadee? An abbreviation of Kohen-Tzadek,a priest of righteousness. If I am correct, then every Kotze, and all those
descended from a Kotze and there aremany of them in South Africa is a direct descendent of Aaron, the first high
priest, as is every Cohen, Kahn, Kohnor Kuhn.)
Auerbach, Bergman, Brenner, Eckstein,Frlich, Fuchs, Goodman, Cowan, Heyman, Hesse, Glasman, Landman,
Kallenbach, Koffman, Nadler, Marks,Lewis, Maxwell, Milstein, Wahl, Vogel, Wolf, Braun, Albertyn (Alberstein) all
perished in the holocaust. www.yadvashem.org/portal...
We can include surnames like Jacobsen and Heilbron (Hijlbron) who in arrived 1652 with van Riebeck as map reader), Norden is recorded as a Jewish 1820 settler, yet there are other 1820 settler names that are not recorded as Jewish and yet the identical surname can be found on the Combined Jewish Surname list. Ferreira, Haasbroek,
(Hagenburg) Froneman (Froman), Elliott (a letter or sign of God to me), Hurrell (Har El- Mountain of God), Van
Niekerk (came from a place with a synagogue and not a church), Hertzog (South Africa and Israel had Hertzogs in the cabinet), Louw (Loew, Lowe are derived from Levi), De la Rey (De la Reina, Del Rei) and Steyn (Stein) are also Boerejood ('Boer Jews) surnames. The Hebrew word 'pina', a corner, is pronounced exactly the same as Pienaar. The town of Rosh Pina is north of the Sea of Galilee. The town of the same name in Namibia is named after the town in Israel.
Generally if a surname ends in 'man', or 'er' or starts with 'Ber' as in Berman, Berhand or Berning or contains the letters 'E'l' (the abbreviated Hebrew word for God) ) there is a good chance that it was originally Jewish! El is an abbreviation of Elohim, the Hebrew word that means God.
The prefix 'De' often indicates a Spanish, often Sephardic Jewish, origin of a name as in De Jong. The tz consonant sequence is uncommon in English and Afrikaans. In Hebrew this sound is a single letter, the Tzadee. This combination is found in the surnames Britz, Blitz, Hertzog, Reitz, Maritz, Calitz, Scholtz and Wentzel.
The 'ch' in Hebrew is the letter chet, the 8th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, sometimes written as 'het'. The 'ch' is pronounced as a [South African] 'G', so the Jewish surname Chouwz would be pronounced identically to Gous.

Seal found by Israeli archeologists may give substance to Samson legend
Scholars say the scene shown on the artifact recalls the story in Judges of Samson fighting a lion.
by Nir Hasson.
Extracts:
A small stone seal found recently in the excavations of Tel Beit Shemesh could be the first archaeological evidence of the story of the biblical Samson.
The seal, measuring 1.5 centimeters, depicts a large animal next to a human figure. The seal was found in a level of excavation that dates to the 11th century B.C.E. That was prior to the establishment of the Judean kingdom and is considered to be the period of the biblical judges - including Samson. Scholars say the scene shown on the artifact recalls the story in Judges of Samson fighting a lion.
Not far from Beit Shemesh is Tel Batash, which is the biblical Timna, where Samson's wife lived. As the Bible tells it, Samson was on his way to his engagement party when "a young lion roared against him" (Judges 14:5 ).
According to the Bible, after Samson kills the lion, it becomes the source of one of the most famous riddles in history, with which Samson regales the guests at his bachelor party: "Out of the eater came forth food, and out of the strong came forth sweetness" (Judges 14:14 ).

TAU finds 12th century BCE image of biblical Samson
by BEN HARTMAN
Tel Aviv University researchers uncovered an archeological depiction of the story of Samson, or at the very least an ancient depiction of an act of animal cruelty.
The half-inch, 12th century BCE seal depicts what is, at least to a layman's eyes, a crudely-rendered picture of a four-legged being facing off with a two-legged humanoid.
It is unclear whether the two figures are locked in a death embrace or just standing face-to-face, with the featureless Samson cast as a sort of biblical 'lion whisperer.'
It is also hard to tell if the humanoid sports the long mane that gave the biblical strongman his power.
According to TAU researchers, the find was uncovered at the Beit Shemesh archaeological site, near the area where the biblical figure of Samson lived and was buried.
TAU said Wednesday that the image engraved on the seal and the location of the find indicate that it may very well depict the story of Samson, who is described in the bible as having bested a lion in unarmed combat.
TAU said the seal was uncovered on the floor of a home dating to the 12th century BCE, the time in which the legends surrounding Samson are set.
