Re: Brit-Am Now no. 1921: Ten Tribes Studies.
Shalom Yair,
To the person who asked about certain blacks in Africa being of Israelite descent. Certainly so as history records along with scripture that King Solomon had a son, at least one with the Queen of Sheba and the Ethiopian national seals and flags bear out the tribal symbol of Judah.
Israel will be found among many colors of peoples and if their DNA is their physical proof, then even more so their hearts to keep Torah and Shabbats!
The Almighty knows the hearts of those who belong to HIM, no matter what color their skin.
Blessings, mb

Re
>> Disgruntled with Brit-Am and will not contribute <<
I think perhaps an unfortunate choice of wording here, and maybe not quite
what you intended to convey.
The person writing will have his own personal reasons, but has publicly
stated what is in his/her heart.
While I don't know him/her, this person is a Christian.. until one of our faiths is proved wrong, there will
always be a point at which any meeting of the minds becomes a certain
conflict of minds.
Now while much of 'Christianity' today is, frankly, an embarrassment both in
the world at large and to those who know what the Bible really teaches, its
fundamentals brings a 'dimension' beyond that of Judaism into any
discussion.
Thus to suggest that the person in question is 'disgruntled with Brit-Am'
may not necessarily be the case, and certainly does not appear so from what
he/she writes. ...
Like the person writing, I too very much value your work. Nevertheless, and
also like that person, I can only accept some of your conclusions based on
your Jewish faith to a limited extent, since I have a whole new perspective.
That does not make me critical of you, it simply infers that there is a
point at which we can no longer have a dialogue -- otherwise there probably
would be conflict.
It also does not make me dismissive of the Rabbinical writings you quote.
We can most certainly learn from these. The Jewish 'mind' and tradition has
a way of looking at Scripture that we in Christendom simply do not
appreciate. To the 'Western' mind prophesy is about predicting the future;
to the Jewish mind prophecy is 'pattern' that must be fulfilled (e.g. Elijah
and 'Elijah-to-come', Abrahamic Covenant and Passover). ...
And again like the person writing, I have a certain reservation in my mind
as to whether or not to contribute other than purchasing your excellent
books. For example, while I do give to various charities from time to time,
I would not normally give to one that promotes say the Baha'i faith, or
indeed, within what is loosely referred to as 'Christianity', the Mormons,
although the latter do operate an immensely valuable genealogical site, and
I would be happy to pay for anything purchased there.
So perhaps 'another way' could be found which did not compromise either your
Jewish belief system or Christian believers like myself, which would make
genuine supporters more comfortable, and assist your ongoing financial
difficulties.
As in all things, and particularly wherever Divine guidance is sought, the
Tanakh provides the answer in Isa 66:2!
Kind regards
John
