#2. Returning to Israel. Why Joseph is NOT doing its share!
Mr. Davidiy
Regarding you no.1934 subject, "Returning To Israel". I have been subscribed to your site for several years, I have purchased several of your books in the beginning, being a Christian I had a few reservations to your opinion of Christianity, but I see your point on some of those issues. Of the question of "Joseph" moving to the state of Israel I could not agree with you more. If things in the Middle East continue as they seem to be going with U,S, British, and Commonwealth troops in these territories...[then the option of settlement could arise].. it reminds me of the colonization and establishment of my own country here in the United State. Thank You for your work.
Tom Miller.

#2. Returning to Israel. Why Joseph is NOT doing its share!
Hi Yair,
Hope you are doing well. Regarding Robert Y's comments, I would like to say that Judah is not the problem, at all. To say I won't send Israel money or help them because I can not run over there and set up shop shows a lack of understanding as to what is going on. Judah and the State of Israel need all our help. Israel is our first defense against terrorism. They stand on the front line. Anything they need should be provided by us, for them. Right now in the US our freedom is being challenged everyday. Islam burns our flag right along with Israel's. Doesn't Robert see that this is the way it is because we are who we are. To say to Judah "I will not support you" seems like a sin. I see Benjamin Netanyahu on TV standing alone, pleading for us to recognize and help them. He pleads for us to use our international power, (the power that God himself has given us) to stand in support of the State of Israel. We need to firmly stand against these countries. Our president said that he is not sure that these countries are a problem. He's not sure? What? He is leaving Israel in distress right now. It is wrong! It is our responsibility to elect officials who represent our country, and who will defend Israel, that is how it has been, and how it should be. I can't imagine the stress that Judah feels every minute of the day during this time. Wondering if they are "allowed to defend themselves". This should not even be in question. They should have full confidence in us, that we as a nation will stand behind them. So, to wrap this up, I would say to Robert Y : How dare you blame Judah and the State of Israel that you cannot run over there and show them who you are! Shame on you!

#2. Returning to Israel. Why Joseph is NOT doing its share!
Shalom Yair,
Words about whether any of us should return to the land. We must not, I believe, do it under our own power. [THE ALMIGHTY] must make the way for it to happen. Just as He did leading the Israelites out of Egypt, done with divine power and strength.
Also, since for right now, the land could not even support those who [THE ALMIGHTY] has said are numbered as the grains of sand, (IOWs....innumerable) , until the time comes that the land is regained and is as described in future prophecies, we must wait.
Whether we can declare we are Israel because of bloodlines, or we are called out to walk in HIS Torah and keep His commandments, or perhaps both, we must wait upon HIM to bring us into the promised land....
I have come to believe that we should remain where we are until otherwise divinely directed, since more and more of His people are being called out and those of us who have already been called out, might need to be in place to help others with their understanding and acceptance. Many who have been called out are confused and conflicted and no longer feel comfortable in the churches they have grown up in, so are losing friends and family left and right. It is for us to stay and help others for now.
Blessings, mb

#1. Two Points of interest mentioned by Rabbi Avraham Feld
A very interesting video.
Just a few comments. Jeremiah 31:31 ff says that the whole house of Israel, Judah and Israel, broke the covenant of the law. That covenant is expressed very clearly in Exodus 19:5,6, which is to keep all the words that you have heard...which seems to indicate a past event.
The new covenant, with the House of Israel ALONE, leaves out or omits the House of Judah.
To me, the change, where the law is written on the heart of Israel, again, alone, does not denigrate the different purpose for Judah. Judah's purpose is to preserve the Torah, and the songs, wisdom, history and prophets so that Israel has a clear source for information on our identity. Judah has done this absolutely par excellence.
As a Christian, circumcised the 8th day, it is my earnest desire to see Judah enjoying the salvation that I experience, but I recognise that we are under different aspects of the covenant of Exodus 19.
As a New Zealander in my 80th year, I also recognise the very strong affiliation that we have with Israel. After all, Australian and New Zealand troops were the majority of the army that liberated Jerusalem in 1917 from Turkish, and gentile rule.
Maybe I am too old, but I feel no desire to reside in any land in the Middle East. However, scripture is very clear that there is yet to be a coming together again. Jeremiah 50:4 says that Israel and Judah will go up to Zion together, weeping.
My personal interpretation is that there will be a devastating attack on the land, with major loss of life. The two separate nations will come together to defend the land. As happened during the second world war, there will be a time of mourning, and national prayer, just as happened in England in the days before Dunkirk.
At that time God will reveal both His hand, and His glory, possibly toward the glory that was beyond even Moses in Exodus 33, and it will lead to the expression of deep repentance, leading to the going up together to Mount Zion.
Regarding the two baptism events, The Red Sea/Gulf of Aqaba, and the Jordan, I see them as having different significance, but that is beyond the present discussion.
I also note that the Gaza Strip is that part of the inheritance of Judah that was never taken.
Blessings
David
Brit-Am Reply:
Rabbi Feld mentioned passing through the Red sea and Crossing the Jordan as the equivalent of ritual immersion in water that is needed by converts to Judaism.
The principle is that the Israelites before they received the Torah went through a form of conversion which entails circumcision, ritual water immersion, and acceptance of the Commandments.
You compare these two events to ritual baptism. You are both wrong in fact but less so in principle.
I do not know where Rabbi Feld took his analogy from. Maybe it was a Midrash? Maybe it was a NT reference that was being accepted for the sake of argument?
Anyway when they passed through the Red Sea it was on dry land. So too when they crossed the Jordan. They were not immersed in water.
Exodus 14:22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
Joshua 4:17 Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.
The Israelites however really did ritually immerse themselves in water before receiving the Torah.
The Israelites before receiving the Torah were commanded to purify themselves.
Exodus 19:
14 So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
According to Oral Tradition this sanctification included ritual immersion.
The Torah commands ritual immersion for matters of purification.
Ritual immersion included use of the waters of a spring, or of a pond, or of the Sea, or in some circumstances of a river.
Nowadays a married women at the end of her purification immerses herself in a ritual bath or mikveh. Such baths were known from ancient times. Archaeologists find remains of these baths all over Israel and especially in the area of Jerusalem.
A convert also requires ritual immersion. This gave rise to the Christian rite of baptism. It is in fact based on the Oral Tradition!
Concerning the Ten Tribes.
According to Jewish sources the Ten Tribes will be required to renew the covenant i.e. go through a ceremonial process similar to that of the Children of Israel before they received the Torah.
cf.
Rabbi Zweig:
#According to the Talmud, in preparation for receiving the Torah, Bnei Yisroel underwent complete conversion i.e. circumcision, ritual bathing, and the bringing of sacrifices.[2] By Torah law, when a person converts he severs all preexisting family relationships.
#The conversion of Bnei Yisroel at Har Sinai did not sever their previous heritage; on the contrary, it reaffirmed and reconnected them back to their ancestry. It is because of their connection to their ancestry that they merited to receive the Torah. Therefore, all previous family relationships remained intact.
To the above, Brit-Am would add that,
So too when the Ten Tribes go through this process or something similar to it the aim will be to RECONNECT them back to their ancestry.
6. Esther: War and the Shofar Blowing.
"It is a Judea/Christian tradition to start battles with MUSIC, Horns, Pipes, and Drums. This is a HEBREW command and tradition.
Numbers 10:9 says, "When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies.""
7. Historical Coincidence? The Present Place of Residence of Yair Davidiy and the Ten Tribes.
Yair Davidiy at present lives in Shaarei Hesed (the Gates of Kindness) in Jerusalem. This is also the headquarters of Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations.
We have been here for about 10 years. The rent is expensive but for the Jerusalem area not exorbitantly so.
Sha'arei Hesed was named after a charitable organization headed by Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach (1883-1954).
Rabbi Auerbach lived in a neighboring street.
He was the father of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach (1910-1995) who lived in Shaarei Hesed and was a great rabbi. The esteem he was held in may be measured by the fact that his funeral was attended by about 500,000 people and was one of the most impressive Jerusalem has seen.
Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach (born 1931) is the son of Rabbl Shlomo Zalman and the grandson of Rabbi Chaim Yehuda. Rabbi Shmuel also lives in Shaarei Hesed and in some respects may be considered the greatest living rabbi (or at least one of the greatest) in the world today.
What has all this got to do with the Ten Tribes?
The founder of the dynasty who was also instrumental in establishing Shaaarei Hesed was Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach. Rabbi Chaim Yehuda was a mystical scholar. He along with others believed that the Ten Tribes needed to be revealed before the Messianic Era could begin. They sent an emissary to look for them who got as far as Tibet and wrote an account of his experiences. They were looking in the wrong place. Their intentions however were correct. In a sense Brit-Am/Hebrew Nations is continuing in their footsteps.
