1. The God of Israel is the ONLY God!

Ruth 1:
" 16 .....for where you go, I go, and where you lodge, I lodge. Your people my people, and your God, my God. 17 Where you shall die, I will die, and there I will be buried. "
There are three points worth noting here:
a. Ruth was replying to a demand made of her for the future. She replied in the present ongoing tense implying "from now on" beginning with the immediate future. This was in negation of what Naomi had exhorted her to do (to turn back) and in negation of how she had evidently acted in the immediate past.
b. "Your people my people, and your God, my God": The LORD is the Creator, the One and Only God BUT HE reveals HIMSELF to HIS creation through HIS people of Israel. God cannot be recognized except as HE presents HIMSELF in the Bible as the God of Israel. One cannot accept God and be against HIS people.
c. When accepting God there is no future tense. It must begin NOW!

Ruth came from the people of Moab. Every time the Bible mentions the name of Ruth it emphasizes the fact that she was foreigner, an alien, a young woman from Moab, a Moabitess. She came to shelter under the wings of the God of Israel. Ruth accompanied Naomi her mother-in-law who returned to her homeland in Bethlehem in the land of Judah. Ruth took responsibility for Naomi. Together with other indigents she went to glean the left-overs at harvest time as was the custom. She chanced upon the field of Boaz who showed her favor. Eventually they would marry.

3. Defy the Boycott, Buy Brit-Am Books!
The State of Israel is under threat of a general boycott engineered in part by cronies of Obama and others. Apart from that the "settlements" in Judah and Samaria have been slated for special treatment and discriminatory labelling.
Brit-Am works and operates from the heartland of Judah in liberated territory west of Beth-Lehem in what is sometimes termed the 'territories. We also have family members etc to the north in Samaria.
By helping us you will be helping to defy the would-be boycotters.
Not only that but in the past (up until now) most so-called "Ephraimite" groups instituted a de facto boycott against us in other spheres.
Our offence apparently was that we were too "Jewish" and not sufficiently compromising.
We came through a difficult period quite well. We now have more viewers, more subscribers, and draw more interest from positive elements.
We are however still struggling. Help us by your offerigns and by buying our publications. The books are worth the price and make for good reading and an enjoyable, rewarding experience.
