In every country the males overwhelmingly are more numerous (&4 %, 83%, 59%, 68%) than the females APART from the Netherlands where 81% are female and only 19% are male.

2. The Name of Peres, Ancestor of David, and the English Word "Burst".

The name of Peres (sometimes spelt "Perez") the son of Judah is more correctly pronounced "Perets" from the root P-R-TS connoting to "burst forth, break through."
Genesis (NASB) 38:
27 It came about at the time she was giving birth, that behold, there were twins in her womb. 28 Moreover, it took place while she was giving birth, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet threadon his hand, saying, 'This one came out first.' 29 But it came about as he drew back his hand, that behold, his brother came out. Then she said, 'What a breach you have made for yourself!' So he was named Perez.30 Afterward his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand; and he was named Zerah.
The Bible is saying that Perez was supposed to be born after Zerah but he burst his way through to be born first.
Perets was the ancestor of King David.
Ruth 4:
18 Now these are the generations of Perez: to Perez was born Hezron,19 and to Hezron was born Ram, and to Ram, Amminadab, 20 and to Amminadab was born Nahshon, and to Nahshon, Salmon, 21 and to Salmon was born Boaz, and to Boaz, Obed, 22 and to Obed was born Jesse, and to Jesse, David.
Nachmanides says that the name Peretz symbolizes the future Messiah who will burst his way through to bring Redemption.
The name Perets appears to be related tot he English word "burst" and may have given rise to it.
In Semitic languages the sounds "p" and "b" sometimes interchange. The Arabs call Shakespeare "Shakesbere."

25 (NASB):
Like apples of gold in settings of silver
Is a word spoken in right circumstances.
12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold
Is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest
Is a faithful messenger to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.
25 (Yair):
11 Like apples of gold in settings of silver
Is a word spoken in a suitable way.
12 Like a nose-ring of gold and an ornament of rare gold
A wise reprover to a listening ear.
13 Like the cold of snow on a harvest day,
a faithful emissary to his sender,
For the mind of his master he restores.
Commentary:
Ideally we should all try to speak well and in the proper place.
We should say things that are constructive and value what is being said as if we were counting gold into our own account.
Avoid superfluous words and refrain from scoring minor points over matters that are not worth it.
Go for the main goal which is the ultimate good for yourself and others.
Do what you have to know as it should be done.
What you have to do is why you are here.
