2. Mrs. R. Some Pertinent Observations and Jewish Recollections from Europe
In all probability, I am not bringing you a chiddush [anything new]:
The Tanya, Shaar Hayichud V'haemuna, says how the ten utterances from Hshm includes
all creations, and the name of each object and person in Hebrew is what brings about their
creation. It reminds me of the significance of the names of the Shevatim [Tribes] (and others) in your books.
I was going to send you the Midrash of Yalkut Shimoni on Shir Hashirim on the tribe of Yehuda accepting the
lost tribes, when I saw you have it on your website.
You are a big Talmid Chochom {Torah Scholar] and I was a bit disappointed with some of the quora content on Hebrew nations.com.
It doesn't pas. (This is a Yiddish word for it is not becoming, or dignified) for a learned person with the name Yair (who brings light). I suggest it stay on Quora for quora readers who enjoy answers to these questions.
Sorry, for the criticism. Just take it with a grain of salt, if you do not agree.
By the way, there is an opinion that the [collator of the Midrash] Yalkut Shimoni was the father of Reb Yosef Karo. We are not disputing this opinion, for who are we to know. However, my father in law was named Shimon which was a family name, The name Shimon was also the name of the Chasam Sofer's son. The Chasam Sofer and our grandfather Reb Chaim Sofer, (the Machne Chaim) were cousins, descending from the Sofer family of Frankfurt whose ancestry included the Yalkut Shimoni of Frankfurt, Germany.
REDHEADS:
Incidentally, there is a high incidence of redheads in NY, amongst Chasidic populations descending from Unterland, Hungary
(which is Eastern Hungary), and Galicia (whose Yidden [Jews] were the ultimate ostjuden [Eastern Jews].)
(In our outlook, ostjuden is something to be proud of...
(Incidentally, about 75% of the Unterland Hungarians were immigrant Galicianers [Jews from Rumania and Ukraine] arriving from the early 1800's till WW1.
(This was during the Austrian-Hungarian Empire which Galicia was a part of.)
Although many Galicianers opted to go to America, there were chasidim whose Rebbes discouraged them to go to America,
They were afraid for the children's Yiddishkeit [Judaism].
Western Hungary was commonly called Oberland. It was culturally German and the Jewish communites practiced many of the same minhagim [customs] as the Yekkes [Jews from Germany].
It was not a good place to be a redhead. There are horror stories where grandparents disliked a red haired grandchild.
( According to common talk in our community, red hair often appears in grandchildren as opposed to children- it skips a generation).
There is some scientific evidence backing this up, but I am not too familiar with it.
The 1960's and 1970's brought an end to the differences between the oberland and unterland Yidden, for the two groups of war survivors gave their children to each other in marriage, as they joined the Chasidim or the Litvishe [Manstream Ultra- and Modern Orthodox].

Sins of Israel
Duration: 18.32 minutes
The Lost Ten Tribes had been exiled for their sins. Their offences are enumerated in 2-Kings chapter 17. An analysis of the listed transgressions provides proof of the Israelite origins of Peoples in the West.
