My surname is Ekeren. That name could be found in Belgium and a bit different in the Netherlands (Ekris). Nothing special. But both places are near old harbours/trading cities, the first near Antwerp and the second near the former Dorestad (the "city" which was said destroid with the vikings.) The name is pronounced the same way (except the end "n") as the Swedish Ekero. Ekron was first a city of the Phlistines but later an Israelite one.
I can't prove anything but I supose my name derives from that place in Sweden. In that case I could be a decent from Gath or Dan.
My knowledge is not big enough to prove but it could be...

My uncle on my mother side did his DNA and he is North and West Europe,80.9%,English,72.3%,Scandinavian,8.6% which doesn't tell me as much as id like to know... my dad side of the famiy I do not know yet, he was suppose to be of irish descent... but this gives me a start.. my dad has passed away , so the only way to know for sure is if I have a dna test done.. I was always under the impression that I was irish and dutch.. but now I am not sure of anything. worried about taking a dna test.. I am totally lost when it comes to DNA but I'm learning every day

This is a very important message! I have British and Dutch roots and was born in South Africa. I emigrated to Sweden in 1986 and my daughter and 2 grandkids have Scandinavian blood. My nephew in South Africa has a Jewish mom. Getting the message out is very difficult in a very secular and atheistic country but I pray all the time that the Ruach will blow this way and wake up the people sooner than later! There are many Scandinavians who support Israel but their voices are not loud. I often wonder why I'm here but perhaps God did send me here to do an exploit or two before I move on ?

You didn't get caught up with the other tribes in Assyria; because you were already away, or had a heads up that it was happening. Everything is there in the Torah, and history tells the rest of the story. Israel was never lost, only referred to as the lost sheep! You, cannot build up Ireland, or Scotland, by the fact that your people became Catholic, which only slightly associated you with Christianity over your Hellenist ways. Your people have received punishment through the years because; you were a warring people. Regardless of where you went or will yet go; fact is; not one of you saved yourselves from fate, and your claim to clan will not soften the fact that you hate Judah (Jews) and believe yourself free of their God! Outside of all that, no one cares to hear about your petty discrepancies.

Naphtali and Dan: Tribal Names
 In 1986 I emigrated from South Africa to Sweden and it was here that I was introduced to The Lost Ten Tribes via the Plain Truth magazine/Herbert Armstrong. I have both Dutch and British roots and one of my children and the grandkids are Swedish. Three years ago I discovered the Aramaic Pictograms and Paleo Hebrew and since then I seem to be learning more and more about, what I hope to be , my/our ancestors. You don't say anything about Sweden per se but Norwegians and Swedes also seem to be mixed up. My sister in law had a Jewish dad and so my nephew also has his Jewish roots. I am learning more and more Hebrew words?

Brother, how can the lost tribes return to Israel if they for got who they are? What I mean is, though they have forgotten who they are and then prof of who they are wakes them up they can not return. Because they have to have a record of their family being from the ten lost tribes. I would love to return if my DNA shows that I am and it were permitted just by DNA prof. But when Masiah comes I think he will reveal who these are.

They are as bad as the black Hebrew Israelites and the fact is the tribes we call Celts only knew their tribal name and strectched from the black sea to Ireland. The word Keltoi came from the Hellenistic period when these these tribes invaded Macedonia and Greece, it meant strangers. I'm sure I have Celtic DNA being 43% western European in my DNA.

The Tribes divided into two separate sections.
The Ten Tribes in the north were exiled in three different stages as described in the Bible.
They became the Lost Ten Tribes.
