1. Answer to Norman Willis: How Long will the Ten Tribes Remain Christians?

#3. Question from Norman Willis
At 06:24 PM 4/17/2018, Norman Willis wrote:
Dear Yair:
I wrote you to say that Isaiah 66:20 and Ezekiel 36:22-24 speak of the Ephraimites coming out of all nations. You responded:
Ezekiel 36:22-24 speaks to the House of Israel. Usually in Scripture the term "House of Israel" is addressed specifically to the Ten Tables BUT in the Book of Ezekiel this not the case. Ezekiel often uses the term "House of Israel" for either Judah alone or the Ten Tribes alone or both together. It all depends on the context.
 Well, what about Jeremiah 31, which refers to the same event as Isaiah 66:20-21 (the coming Second Exodus)? In context Jeremiah 31 clearly refers to the house of Ephraim. Jeremiah also names the watchmen (Notzrim = Christians) in verse 6. Jeremiah doesn't say that the Notzrim will quit being Notzrim before they come home, he says they will come home, and cry on Mount Ephraim (as Notzrim).
Jeremiah 31:2-9
2 Thus says [the ALMIGHTY]:
The people who survived the sword
Found grace in the wilderness
Israel, when I went to give him rest.
3 [the ALMIGHTY] has appeared of old to me, saying:
Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
4 Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.
5 You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria;
The planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food.
6 For there shall be a day
When the watchmen [Notzrim = Christians] will cry on Mount Ephraim,
'Arise, and let us go up to Tzion,
To [the ALMIGHTY] our [GOD]
7 For thus says [the ALMIGHTY]:
Sing with gladness for Jacob,
And shout among the chief of the nations;
Proclaim, give praise, and say,
 "[the ALMIGHTY]h, save Your people,
The remnant of Israel!"
8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country,
And gather them from the ends of the earth,
Among them the blind and the lame,
The woman with child
And the one who labors with child, together;
A great throng shall return there.
9 They shall come with weeping,
And with supplications I will lead them.
I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters,
In a straight way in which they shall not stumble;
For I am a Father to Israel,
And Ephraim is My firstborn.
So if Ephraim is called home to our ancient homeland as Notzrim (Christians), and will cry on Mount Samaria as Notzrim, why do you say we have to stop being Notzrim?
Respectfully,
Norman B. Willis

Brit-Am Reply:
Very good! It should be respectably remembered by you that BRIT-AM was the first to recognize that the "Notsrim" in Jeremiah 31:6 referred to Christians among the Lost Ten Tribes.
We spoke about it at length in the first edition of our work "Ephraim" (1995). [Before then, as far as we know, NO-ONE ELSE taught it!]
They who now refer to this interpretation should at least give us credit for revealing it!
We do not say that Christians have to stop being Christians at present. We do not know. Christianity is a tool of Divine Providence and still has a role to play.
We understand that it is not our task at present (if ever) to tell people what to do and what not in matters of worship.
We try to avoid discussions of this matter.
We do however believe that Christianity is mistaken.
We also understand the Bible to imply that the Lost Ten Tribes will abandon Christianity when they return or just before it.
cf. The Brit-Am Commentary to the Book of Ezekiel.

[Ezekiel 11:18] AND THEY SHALL COME THITHER, AND THEY SHALL TAKE AWAY ALL THE DETESTABLE THINGS THEREOF AND ALL THE ABOMINATIONS THEREOF FROM THENCE.
The exiles (from the Ten Tribes) will remove their idols and cease their paganism in their places of exile. OR ELSE:
They shall first come back to the land and then they shall cast aside their idols"Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Â
[Ezekiel 11:19] AND I WILL GIVE THEM ONE HEART, AND I WILL PUT A NEW SPIRIT WITHIN YOU; AND I WILL TAKE THE STONY HEART OUT OF THEIR FLESH, AND WILL GIVE THEM AN HEART OF FLESH:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
They will be given one heart, a spirit of unity, awareness of the truth, willingness and ability to fulfill God"s will, and the awareness that they capable of doing so and want to do so.
Â
[Ezekiel 11:20] THAT THEY MAY WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND KEEP MINE ORDINANCES, AND DO THEM: AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.
The bottom line is that in order to return and dwell in the Land of Israel all the statutes, ordinances, and commandments must be kept.
THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE: They shall be made aware of their Israelite Identity.
AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD: They will be reconciled with the Almighty.
The task of Brit-Am is to reveal where the Lost Ten Tribes are on the whole in our time!
That is what needs to be done!

2. Gog and Magog Series in Preparation
In the past both Yair Davidiy and Alexander Zeophyr have published articles and notes concerning the Wars of God and Magog, e.g.
THE WARS of GOG and MAGOG by Alexander Zephyr.

Ezekiel 36 to 40

Yair Davidiy is now preparing a series of articles (thanks to public interest) on Gog and Magog. We will try to examine:
(1) What the simple message of the Bible says on the subject according to the Hebrew text.
(2) The opinion of major Rabbinical Commentators such as Abarbanel, Malbim, etc.
(3) Other sources.
This series will include articles and Video Clips.

3. How did Jeremiah & Ezekiel make a living during their lives? M.
===============================
Brit-Am Reply:
Jeremiah was a Priest (Cohen) from Anatoth in the Territory of Benjamin (Jeremiah 1:1). In principle, as a Cohen, he was entitled to receive Offerings of grain and meat that were dedicated to the Priests but according to tradition (Zohar) he was denied them
Also, according to tradition (Midrash, Mekhilta) he upbraided the Israelites for worrying too much about making a living instead of learning Torah. How he himself was supported is not clear.
.
Ezekiel was also a Cohen.
The Cohens and Levites at that time had a similar status to that held by a Rabbi in our time. In principle they should have been supported by the community they ministered to.
