2. Question on Benjamin
Yair, I thought that Benjamin went with Judah in forming the Southern Kingdom, they being so much fewer in number the members of both Judah and Benjamin, as well as a goodly part of Levi, are all known as Jews today.

This is correct as far as the tribal expression of Benjamin is concerned.
Benjamin was to become part of the Jewish People.
Physically however in one way or other many from Judah, Benjamin, and even from levi were caught up up with the Ten tribes and became part of them.
Parallel to this many from the Ten Tribes were taken in by Judah.
Nevertheless the two entities remained separate.
The Jews were to be dominated by Judah and to bear the character traits needed for the task that Judah had.

Germans are not Israelites!

Many Germans from Hanover emigrated to Nova Scotia ,Canada during the times of the Georgian Kings of England. Hanover was once controlled by Britain. I think this region spoke Low German like the Dutch. An interesting fact is that the ancient Assyrians used an "Iron Cross" symbol on their statues. The Iron Cross is a traditional symbol of Germany. Some Assyrian Emperors depicted with an Iron Cross are Shamshi-Adad V[neck chain pendant],Ashurnasirpal Ii[neck chain pendant],Adad-Nirari III[on his robe]. I am not certain if this "proves" a link between modern Germany and ancient Assyria,but it is interesting. The Assyrian iron cross looks exactly like that used by Manfred Von Richthoven or in portraits of 19th century Prussian military leaders.

In published "Phoenician Ireland". In the book "descendants of the Spanish Iberi...the sons of Obab and Jethro,the father-in-law of Moses,and from him called Kini [Kenites]"p.116. He mentions the Aradii of Ireland. Arad was the city of the Kenites in southern Israel in the Negev Judges 1:16
