1. Monte: Query on Tea Tephi and Davidic Descent
Dear Yair,
Â
I recently was told that the Bible says that Zedekiah was not a legitimate heir to the throne of David, so his daughter Tea Tephi could not have preserved his line in Europe. Can you help me with this?
Â
Thank you,
Â

Shalom,
I am not aware of the claim against Zedekiah. It sounds unlikely to me. The Davidic Line goes through the father, the female side is not really relevant in this case. Personally we doubt whether Tea Tephi really existed.

2. Jamie: The "colonization" theory is highly plausible.
Re: Brit-Am Now no. 2006: Ten Tribes Studies
Yair,
Interesting perspective on the Tribes coming in as autonomous colonies within un-settled or newly conquered areas of greater Israel (ie: South Lebanon, Western Syria/Jordan, etc), and those colonies serving as a defensive frontier for Israel proper.
There are actually many historical precedents for this model. Most recently Israel's 18yr occupation of South Lebanon (ending in 200), defacto "annexation" and the usage of SLA (South Lebanese) "colonies" to operate in conjunction with the IDF to act as a buffer and defend Israel proper. There was a great connection between the two entities, my children went to school with many children of SLA fighters in Karmiel in the North after Israel pulled out of South Lebanon and absorbed a number of SLA families into Israel proper after the withdraw.
Israel has always been very favorable towards using friendly allied proxy's to defend its interests. It would also fall in line with the Israeli mindset to make compromises that would allow a friendly populace to serve its interests, and still maintain its own internal standards and criteria as a Jewish state. Finding an acceptable "work around" (as we say in the web world) without compromising Israel's integrity, is very much the Israeli way.
I do agree with your point that the Tribes are not quite yet ready to return as a whole, and much education is still needed on a mass scale. But it always good to look at the big picture and possible scenarios for the Tribes return. The "colonization" theory is highly plausible.
Best regards,
Jamie

Comment on your video: The Celts Called Themselves Hebrews!
"The Celts Called Themselves Hebrews! ", but that does not make them, nor should ever be confused with, Hebrew Israelite. All the descendants of Abraham would be Hebrew, but only the descendants of Jacob/Yacob/Israel/12 Tribes of Israel(12 Sons of Jacob) can be Hebrew Israelite.
Brit-Am Reply:
Are you saying that some of the celts were descended from other descendants of Abraham such as Esau (Edom) or Ishmael? There are claims to that effect. We however are concerned with finding the Lost Ten Tribes. Many of them were to be found amongst Celtic Peoples. That doers not make all such peoples Hebrew but it does tell us where the Ten tribes should be searched for.

Hibernia, island of winter in Latin, it's all bullocks and an insult to our Celtic culture who praise boar meat eating. The only link we can make is that both Hebrew and Celts are Indo-Europeans, and that's pretty mush all. Albania, alba m...
Brit-Am Reply:
Hibernia may indeed have been derived from the Latin name for Winter. This however would have been an adaptation of an existing term that meant something else but sounded similar to the Latin. This is a common linguistic phenomenon. It is true that the Celts in general as well as the Irish praised the eating of swine. In Scotland however swine and other unclean animals were taboo over most of the land most of the time. Irish tradition also claimed they had once kept the Mosaic Law. See: The Food Taboos of Old Scotland. The Law of Moses and of Caledonia Â
Also not all Celts are of Israelite Descent but rather an uncertain proportion of them.
