I am OK.
For those who have forgotten we just finished celebrating the 8-day Feast of Succoth during which our regular Brit-Am activities were in abeyance.
A rocket is said to have exploded in a field besides my residence but I was not at home at the time.
I have two grandsons serving in IDF Frontline Infantry Units. One of my sons has also been called up to do his part.
I hope they and all the other Hebrew Warriors will be OK.
I also have other family members in settlement areas. My own hometown is considered one of those.
I live in a moderate size (by Israeli standards) city of ca. 80,000. Most of the sanitation workers, much of the bus-drivers, and many of the hired help in supermarkets etc are Ishmaelites from the neighborhood.
The garbage has not been collected today.
In the supermarkets the Jewish overseers were doing the work themselves.
None of the buses seem to be running.
The Invasion of more than a 1000 Ishmaelites has been stopped and most of its participations eliminated apart from those who managed to retreat to Gaza.
They caused several hundred Israeli casualties and many wounded. They also took hostages back to Gaza. |These include IDF women soldiers, Israeli women and children, other israelies, foreign workers and students from places such as Nepal who were studying in Israel.
Israel has gone after them and is bombing Gaza.
Hizballah in Lebanon is also involved.
The initial success of the invaders raises many questions.
The war may spread to the whole of Israel if the other Arabs join them.
Syria and Iran are already involved. The i9ntervention of Islamic Turkey is also a possibility.

Note according to the context (from the three preceding verses 11:11,12,13) Judah and Ephraim together are being spoken of.

I am following the events in Israel very closely, and I am praying for the protection of Israelis and their infrastructures as well as for a complete victory for your nation! In speaking with relatives and people in my area, all others here feel the same way I do. I hope the Israeli punishment of the Hamas crowd is severe enough to deter this from ever happening again!

Hi Yair
I was shocked to hear this morning of the Hamas terrorist attack. While it appears to be primarily around Gaza (aside from the rockets), I trust you and yours are safe and my prayers are with you. I've been looking at some of the reports, images and videos on social media, as the mainstream is heavily edited. Some of those are shocking with women and children being slaughtered and people taken hostage. My prayers are also with them -- and for the IDF to free them. Shades of Entebbe, and perhaps Pearl Harbour-9/11.
Israelis will be rightly angered by these reports and pictures. I suspect there will be a resultant massive reaction from the Israeli govt. and IDF. I've also been watching your constitutional issue where some in the IDF refused to serve. Such disunity will probably have had an effect of preparedness. Clearly Iran, Hamas and others are also implicated. Time will tell, as no doubt events will. Biden appears to be behind you (if he is to be believed). So too, the UK.
BBC and SKY here have been remarkably pro-Israel, of course since they've over-championed Ukraine they have little choice.
It reminds me of the Yom Kippur War, where Israel was taken by surprise. I gather this attack was timed for the 50-year anniversary of that (albeit on the Gregorian calendar).
So, when you get a moment, please let me know how you are and perhaps how you see this in its wider prophetic context.
