I wasn't a missionary, and didn't tell my children about my Christian background. I am a descendant of William Bradford, and although my family arrived in the American Northeast in 1620, all of my father's ancestors are of English extraction. My mother's family is British and French. I began to learn about the New England Saints and their religious ideas including their love for Hebrew language and Kabbalah. I was also investigating the expulsion of Jews from Spain and other topics when I stumbled upon a rabbinic (Rashi, Ramban and Abarbanel) idea that Israelite tribes were living in France and England. I'm looking for more information and opportunities to learn. Because of my background, I feel uniquely positioned to bring a fresh perspective to some of these ideas. How might I get involved?

Our movement, "Brit-Am/Hebrew Awareness," finds the Lost Ten Tribes among Western Peoples. We attempt to spread knowledge of this. We rely heavily on Biblical evidence.
Most of those who are interested are Christians. They are the ones who value the Bible.
We also consider Christianity as a tool of Divine Providence to (among other things) prepare the Ten Tribes for an eventual reconciliation with Judah.
We interact with Christians, correspond with them, are at least partially supported by them, and so on BUT reject their religious beliefs altogether or at least as regarding ourselves.
This can create complications but on the whole it works and they respect us.
We appreciate the difficulties you described. Life can be difficult. Life in Israel is not always easy. A family man has obligations and pressures,
There are a lot of converts to Judaism in Israel and their descendants. Most of them get by. That in itself should not be a problem.
Experience shows that discussing "a Jewish approach to Jesus," is negative for Jews and not really pertinent to them.
You may, or may not, have worked for a Christian Missionary organization attempting to proselytize Jews.
This may, or may not, have been your intention at the beginning but evidently you were suspected of it.
My advice to you and to Jews in general is to associate with Religious Jews as much as you can. Keep the commandments. Attend lessons. Learn.
Encourage your family to stay close to Jews and Judaism. If you live outside of Israel try and find a place close to Jews.
Every person is different but there is a solution for everyone.
The phenomenon you described of Christians who lived centuries ago being interested in Judaism and in Jewish studies, etc, is indicative of possible Jewish ancestry.
It is also pertinent to members of the Lost Ten Tribes realizing that the time of re-union of Joseph with Judah is drawing close.
This could be worth studying and writing about.
It is not something we have ever taken a particular interest in but others may do so.
If you wished to write something on the matter and wanted to test its acceptability in the public domain we might be open to consider it.
We ourselves often struggle to get by so it is unlikely that we would be able to assist for the present in that sphere.
Nevertheless one never knows.
Salvation can come from many different directions.
If you feel an inner urge to write on the subject you mentioned go ahead with it.
