1. New Month of Tevet. Tribe of Dan.
The 12th and 13th of December, 2023, are the first days of the Hebrew month of Tevet (sometimes spelt "Tebet").
This is according to mainstream opinion (HaGra and HaArizal) attributing the month of Tevet to Dan.
Others (Midrash Peliah, the Rabad, and the Hasidim) attribute it to Gad.

The holy power of Dan reflects a spark of Mashiach. In the Zohar we are taught that the commander-in-chief of the army of Mashiach will come from the tribe of Dan.

The month of Tevet is the darkest time of the year. Its days are the shortest of the year and its nights the longest. The tribe associated with Tevet is the tribe of Dan. When the Children of Israel traveled and camped in the desert, they encircled the Holy Ark. The tribe of Dan was the most northerly encampment. The North is a dark cold place. The long nights of Tevet are even longer in the North. The Hebrew word for North - tzafon - is spelled the same as tzafun - which means hidden. The Talmud tells us that one of the names of the yetzer hara - the negative drive - is tzafuni (Succa 52).

Denmark is also Dan, Norway is Naphtali, Sweden is Gad, Finland is Issachar, so is Switzerland. France is Reuben, the Netherlands is Zebulon. Breakaway elements from Judah also joined the Ten Tribes In Northern Ireland alongside Manasseh. The USA is named after "Americo" Vespucci whose name means "Sons of "Machir" - Machir being the firstborn son of Manasseh.

Dear Yair,
I wanted to share this photo. (I hope the attachment shows up)
This is a picture posted by Donald Trump on his personal TruthSocial website. He posted it during the early morning hours of October 29-30 and did not make any comment to go along with it. In the picture, President Trump is seated in a courtroom and surrounded by smiling and laughing NYPD officers. `
It could be that this picture is of a fictitious situation or it could be a from an actual event. As I considered the meaning of the image I recalled Gen 39-42. I imagined that a similar picture could have been made of Joseph in prison enjoying camaraderie with his wardens. Gen 39:21.
Yair, I think I will leave off my comments from here; as I would like to request Brit-am's reaction.
I've greatly enjoyed Joseph: The Israelite Destiny of America. I've read it several times and given copies to others. I was surprised when most did not understand the meaning. In my opinion, the ones that misunderstood did so due to unfamiliarity with the Tanakh... Because your book is fantastic! (I'm reminded of Ezekial 4. But I won't comment further for now).
Things for us here in Georgia are doing good. The four kids are all healthy and enjoying a full life. Ages 3 5 7 9 this year. We are raising sheep, doing a few sports, and learning a little Hebrew each week. I regret that these commitments make it tough to attend the zoom meetings as I enjoy every one and watch Brit'am posts as they are shared on Youtube. Britam.org and Hebrewnations.com both work well and I refer to them often.
I hope you and your family are safe and I'm so sorry about the troubles in Israel. Above all I hope that peace will return quickly.
