CC edited subtitles. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were the ancestors of the Israelite Peoples also known as Hebrews. Joseph was also referred to as a Hebrew. The Hebrews gave rise to the Hiberi that is the "Celtic" Peoples of the West. These were part of the Lost Ten Tribes. They called themselves "Iberi" and "Hiberi" meaning "Hebrews." Reuben, Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun and Joseph were all part of the Tribes of Israel. They count 9 Tribes but actually there were 10 of them: Joseph (numbered here as one Tribe) was in fact 2 Tribes, Ephraim and Manasseh. These 10 Tribes comprised the northern Kingdom of Israel. It was separate from the Kingdom of Judah which included the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, and later minority representatives of the other Tribes who were refugees from the north most of whose inhabitants had been exiled.
The northern Kingdom of 10 Tribes was to be conquered by Assyria and all its inhabitants exiled apart from a minority of refugees who, as mentioned, made their way to the south. The 10 Tribes who were exiled were to loose awareness of their ancestry and become known as the Lost Ten Tribes.
Residents of the southern Kingdom of Judah and their descendants were referred to as "Yehudim" or in the singular "Yehudi" translated as "Jew."
"Jew" was a generic name for them.

5 AT THAT TIME THERE WAS A JEWISH MAN IN THE FORTRESS OF SUSA WHOSE NAME WAS MORDECAI SON OF JAIR. We read here that Mordecai the son of Yair was from the Tribe of Benjamin. Nevertheless he is described as "Jewish," in Hebrew "Yehudi."
Everyone and anyone from the southern Kingdom of Judah could be called a "Yehudi." They still can.
Strictly speaking Israelites from the northern Kingdom of Israel should not referred to as "Yehudim." They are not Jews.
Nevertheless not everyone is sufficiently historically conscious to maintain such a distinction.
We therefore often come across cases where anyone who is an Israelite is also mistakenly referred to as "Jewish" or a "Jew" whether or not they were really "Jewish" (from the Kingdom of Judah or a descendant of such) or merely Hebrews from the northern Tribes.
For instance some writers refer to Moses leading the "Jews" out of Egypt. By "Jews" they mean by this all the Israelites even though most of them were not from Judah nor from the later Kingdom of Judah. They were therefore technically were not Jewish!

Britain did not give "Palestine" to Israel. The Almighty did as recorded in the Bible! Britain had served as a tool of Divine Providence helping put the promise into effect. After 1917 Britain had allowed Jews to settle in the area, established law and order, provided protection from Arab marauders, and did not interfere over-duly with Jewish attempts to set up a civilized infrastructure. The Arabs were continually making trouble. In 1939-1939 the Great Arab Revolt was vigorously suppressed by Britain. The Arabs were somewhat subdued as a result.
With the approaching clouds of World War-2 there was a change of policy by the British Government of Neville Chamberlain. The new appeasement policies held a hand out not only to Hitler but also to the Arabs. This led to some fiction between the Jews and the British. After World War-2 relations worsened. The British unilaterally decided to leave.
Consequently the Jews fought a war against the local Arabs and all the Arab countries round about. Though greatly outnumbered, to the surprise of many, the Jews won.
The State of Israel came into existence in 1948. The USA recognized Israel 11 minutes (sic) after the new polity had declared itself into existence.
The name "Palestine" is derived from the area known to Egypt as "Peleshet" meaning Land of the Philistines. This was part of Canaan bordering Egypt.
Some Greek writers extended the term 'Palestine' to include the southern part of the Land of Israel. Later, after they expelled the Jews from it, the Romans applied the appellation to include the Land of Judah which had been part of Israel. Still later, in Christian writings "Palestine" became synonymous with the Holy Land which in the Bible is referred to as the Land of Canaan, and/or as Land of the Hebrews (Genesis 40:15).
The God of Israel had given all this Land to the Israelites.

4 I ALSO ESTABLISHED MY COVENANT WITH THEM, TO GIVE THEM THE LAND OF CANAAN, THE LAND IN WHICH THEY SOJOURNED.

There was perhaps one uncertain case of a junior female Israeli military person having some connection with an Arab prisoner. There may be more examples. On the whole however the Israeli females are often more strongly against the Arabs than the men are. On the Arab side the women are more against the Jews than the males are though there may be numerous exceptions. In the past some Arab women have expressed disappointment that IDF soldiers are not more aggressive towards them.
Apart from that on a related issue all these pictures of Israeli girl soldiers with rifles slung behind their back etc. might be having a negative effect. Many Israeli males instinctively do not like their women being so depicted. Numerous Gentile men also feel difficult about it. The pictures are also misleading.
First of all women soldiers in the IDF do effective work and contribute a lot. I say this even though for Jewish religious and family reasons I am against females serving in the IDF. The girls are not that good at military offensive work though at other tasks they often work well. . To present matters differently is harmful. Recent events revealed the 'Dojo Effect.' What is the 'Dojo Effect'? All over the world you find mixed (male and female) schools of self-defense i.e. 'Dojos' . Usually the boys will pair off with boys and the girls with girls. Out of every 10 girls you will find one or two who want to pair off with boys. Out of the two exceptions one will be a slightly above average fighter. The second may be slightly better than most of the other girls but not necessarily much more. This seems to be a general phenomenon. Out of the girls who do not want to pair off with the boys a couple of them may also be quite proficient in hour of need.
In the recent Hamas attacks there were several cases where lone Israeli women soldiers and armed female civilians took their guns and went out. They killed numerous terrorists and saved Jewish lives. In some cases they were killed in action after giving their lives for others. There were other cases however where the girl soldiers huddled together and were afraid to even touch their weapons. They had not been really trained nor expected to do otherwise. Even if they had been properly prepared indications are that they would still have acted in the same way. This is a repetition of the Dojo Phenomenon.
Even though, as we said, some woman soldiers make quite good fighters most do not. The exceptional 'Alfa' females are doing what the males should do. The presence of females in military units may have negative effects.
