Answer:

Marc Lipshitz wrote a valid answer on this Question. The Jews have the Temple Mount. They will not give it up. Neither would they build a Temple there and risk war against the entire Muslim world.

2 Jews = 3 opinions!

Personally, the Jews should not want to build a Temple until the Halachic situation is clarified. All this going up to the Mount and walking about it may have some value for nationalistic reasons. Nevertheless it involves the probable transgression of several prohibitions by most of the visitors. It is doubtful that they all went to the mikvah beforehand, or do not wear leather shoes, or keep away from the forbidden areas within the Mount.

The Arabs desecrate the Temple Mount. They have public toilets and schools for children and football fields on it. They also use as a center for incitement against the Jewish People and violent actions against Israeli citizens. Several riots have been taken there. Weapons and incendiaries are stored there by the Arab functionaries. It may be that one cannot at present forbid the Arabs to be there. At the least however it should be not problem to severely limit the numbers arriving and their visitation rights.

Meanwhile there are many more things that can and should be done. The Kotel haKatan ("Little Western Wall") in the Muslim quarter is an extension of the Western Wall. It should be cleaned up and made more amenable available for Jewish visitors. Jews should be encouraged to pray there. There should be more policement and Relgious Ministry officials prominently there.

In addition to that, large sections of the original Western Wall of the Temple area still exist. They are continuations of the present Western Wall and the Kotel HaKatan BUT Arab Houses have been built on to them. Why is no-one working to remove these impediments?
See the Map, see the Line that says "Tunnel"? To the right of Tunnel, from the Western Wall to the Via Dolorossa  street exist large remnants of the original Wall. All the inhabitants should be mrelocated, the bouldings removed, and the area opened up to visitors
and Jewish Houses of study and prayer.
Maybe this cannot be done overnight but there should exist public knowledge of its possibility.

In some cases they may be befuddled types or severely misguided.
Nevertheless on the whole they are to be considered the enemy.
They are descendants of Edomites or Canaanites or Bad Eggs in general.
They should repent, ask the Almighty for forgiveness learn the Bible and do what they can to help other peoples
especially Jews and fellow Israelites from the Ten Tribes.

My ancestors (mother: Hancock, Johnson) came from the British Isles, and Wales (father: Dilday).  I think I'm an Ephraimite, but I don't intend to return to Israel until the war is over.  At age 86 I'd be no help and might get in the way.

We on the otherhand find Simeon scattered throughout the other Tribes, as was prophesied.
