2. Finnish traditions and new things that I did found

My wife just noticed this from our papers and it doesn't explain why the festival it was named like this and why the booths from branches were build, but it was one of the fun facts from ancient times.
In our newspaper, it was said this:
Why do we put birch branches on the doorpost at Midsummer?
An expert explains why birch branches are traditionally placed on the doorpost at Midsummer. Did you know that the whole party was originally called the Arbor (sukkot) Party?
Midsummer has many traditions. One such thing has been putting birches in the wrong door. Archivist Juha Nirkko from the Finnish Literature Society tells MTV Uutis where the tradition originates from and how it has shaped into what it is today.
The video above explains the beliefs associated with the tradition.
Nirkko says that the tradition has prevailed around the Baltic Sea, where there have been birch trees. It has been followed in Finland since the Middle Ages.
From the Arbor to the birch trees on the doorstep
Not everyone may know that the whole party was originally called the Arbor Party. According to SKS archive data, as time and society have changed, the Arbor has gradually changed to birches in the doorway. In the past, we lived around a farmhouse and there was a lot of wood available.
Nirkko reflects that, like other cultural phenomena, the change here must have happened slowly.
- When living environments have changed from farmhouses to smaller dwellings, it has been more convenient to put birch branches on the doorstep than to build an Arbor, which requires much more material, Nirkko says.

3. Correction: Welsh are Loyal to Wales!

I was born in Cardiff and lived in South Wales until I was 19 and I can categorically say this is completely incorrect. The Welsh are extremely patriotic and DO NOT place their loyalty to Britain above that of their Welsh nation. Have you visited Wales?
May I ask where you got this information from?

That was the impression we had. Maybe it was mistaken? We will alter it.
The father of Yair Davidiy was from Wales.
Between the ages of 3 to 6 when I was a child our family sojourned in Britain.
Occasionally we would stay with our grandparents in Pembroke, southwest Wales.

Message from Yair Davidiy on Behalf of Brit-Am/Hebrew Awareness.
A few select individuals help us well every month, and a few others send us contributions and offerings regularly, others when they can. Altogether we usually get by.
We meet our obligations. Sometimes hitches occur and we need to make general appeals. Sometimes these help but not always.
The Appeals also have an effect and are important in their own right.
They who can help us and have not yet done so recently are asked to do what they can.
At all events we go ahead.
At the moment we are revising our appreciation of Ancient Israelite History in the light of the findings of Stephen Phillips.

In some cases his findings overlap our own and confirm them. On several points we disagree, or are reserved, but in other cases his insights are worth noting.
A couple of articles are in process on this matter.
We have also began a series of articles on King Saul. This is of interest. It is built on material we have published in the past along with new sources.
Saul was from the Tribe of Benjamin. Eventually we hope to publish a book about the Tribe of Benjamin.
After that works on other Tribes.
We are beginning with Benjamin first of all simply because that is where we have sources to work on immediately.
Our book "Joseph USA" should be available to the public quite soon.
This is a new revised version of "Joseph. The Israelite Destiny of America."
We are also considering an article, or articles, and possibly a Video Clip about the present situation.
What would the Bible expects us to do if we could do it?
How would we relate to the threats of Hamas? Of Hamas? of Iran? Turkey? Islam as a whole and all the rest?
The State of Israel on its own survives through determination, miracles, and the Help of Heaven.
There is a limit as to what it can do.
What more could be done?
How much could the Lost Ten Tribes be involved?
Suggestions and criticisms are welcome.
What would you suggest?
In the recent contretemps Rabbi Avraham Feld had a son and a grandson at the front.
Yair Davidiy also had a son and two of his grandsons in the fray and in effect two of them are still there being on semi-permanent standby.
Others of our family also serve, each in their own way.
Concerning Brit-Am:
If you compare the number of our viewers and subscribers etc., with the big-time Rabbinical Personalities, or Christian Evangelists, etc., then our achievements relatively speaking might be considered only modest ones.
On the other hand, we do get to an audience and it is not that small.
Also the intensity with which we are occasionally received testifies to a serious impact.
The message gets out and it stays.
We believe that this work has a sacred Aspect to it.
They who help us will be rewarded from Heaven.
In a sense they who receive this message are the Chosen Few.
There is a reason for this.
May the God of Israel be with you all.
