Tomorrow (23 July 2024) is a fast day where Religious Jews go without food or drink from sunrise to sundown. After sundown eating and drinking is permitted.
This day commemorates the breach of the walls of Jerusalem before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE. It falls on the 17th day of the 4th Hebrew month of Tammuz and marks the beginning of the three-week mourning period leading up to the 9th of Ab (Tisha B'Av).
According to the Mishnah,five calamities befell the Jewish people on this day:
Moses broke the two tablets of stone on Mount Sinai.
The daily "Tamid" (Permanent) offering ceased to be brought;
During the Roman siege of Jerusalem, the city walls were breached, leading to the destruction of the Second Temple less than a month later on Tisha B'Av;
Prior to Bar Kokhba's revolt, Roman military leader Apostomus burned a Torah scroll;
An idol was erected in the Temple.
The 17th of Tammuz is one of the Four Fast-Days that prove that the Jews are Judah:

Outline:
1. Judah was to Keep and Develop the Law.

Zechariah 8:

AND THE FAST OF THE TENTH [month]

- BUT LOVE TRUTH AND PEACE.
These recall the four main fast-days concerning the Temple.
THE FAST OF THE FOURTH MONTH, -17th Tammuz
THE FAST OF THE FIFTH, - 9th of Av
AND THE FAST OF THE SEVENTH, - 3rd of Tishrei (Gedaliah)
AND THE FAST OF THE TENTH, - 10th Tebeth (Tevet).
The four months mentioned fit the months of the Hebrew Calendar. On each of the designated months there is a Fast-Day associated with Destruction of the Temple and Exile of the Jewish People. These are the only Fast Days (recognized throughout the Jewish Diaspora) in the Jewish Calendar apart from the Fast of Esther just before Purim and Yom Kippur which is a different case.
The Jews still keep these fasts.
The Bible says the Jews would keep these fasts.
No-one else keeps them.
Has the Bible made a mistake?
Confused the Jews with somebody else?
The Jews are the only ones who keep the Four fasts in the numbered months.
Therefore the Jews are the Jews of Judah mentioned in the Bible.
As we said Tomorrow is the 17th of Tammuz which is the day of the fourth Month mentioned in the Bible.
Zechariah as the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo. he lived during the time of Darius when the Second Temple was about to be rebuilt.
Zechariah ch.8 deals with Judah and with the End Times.
It concentrates on Judah i.e. the Jews.

The present-day Jews consist mainly of the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, along with minority representatives of the other Tribes whose main branches however are among the LTTs.
The LORD is zealous for Jerusalem (*:1) which will be called the City of Truth (8:2).
The Temple will be built (8:9).
In the End Times there will be much no need for animals and less for human manual labor (8:10).
There will be agricultural prosperity in the Land of Israel (8:12).\
This is predicted elsewhere and is considered a sign of the Messianic Ages (Talmud, Sanhedrin 98a):
"There is no more explicit sign (of the End Times) as it says:
Ezekiel 36:8-15 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV) "But you, O mountains of Israel, shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel, for they will soon come home. For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown."
The term "Judah" (Judas) will have been a curse word among the Gentiles (8:13).
We should seek truth, justice, and peace, and not tell lies nor speak evil of our neighbors (8:16-17).
The 4 Fast Days will become feast days (8:18).
People from all nations will come to Jerusalem to seek instruction. This applies especially to members of the Lost Ten Tribes (8:23).
