CC captions edited. The forerunners of the Hebrew Peoples were Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who was renamed "Israel." Abraham was promised the Land from the Nile to the Euphrates and that his offspring would uplift all mankind. This blessing was passed onto to Isaac who gave it to Jacob. Jacob begat 12 sons who became the 12 Tribes of Israel. Each of the Tribes received its own blessing BUT Joseph was given an extra one to help him civilize humanity. His descendants are now among the English-speaking peoples.
