2. Psalm 44.
Preliminary Remarks by Yair:
The Sons of Korah were a branch of the Levites.
The term 'Maskil' (44:1) is translated in the NKJV as 'contemplation.'
The Amplified Bible translates it as 'A skillful song, or a didactic or reflective poem.'
Others render it as 'a Psalm for instruction' (BST); 'A contemplative psalm' (NHEB) (WEB); 'An Instruction' (YLT). All of these appear close to the mark.
'Maskil' is from the root 'S-K-L' implying 'applied comprehension.' This is the source of the English word 'skill.' This Psalm appears to apply primarily to Judah.

3. New Month of Av Coming Up. Destruction, Mourning, Reconciliation of the Tribes.
August 5, 2024, is the First Day of the Hebrew month of Av, sometimes spelt as "Ab."
The Month of Av is associated with the Tribe of Simeon according to conventional (HaGra and Ari)
whereas the RABAD (also referred to as "Rayvad" i.e. Rabbi Abraham ben David c. 1125 - 1198, Provence, France, ), attributed the Month of Av to Issachar.
The Month of Av includes the Fast-day of Tisha (Ninth) b'Av. This is, after Yom Kippur, the most serious Fast-day in the Hebrew Calendar.
Tisha (Ninth) b'Av is the day of Mourning over the Destruction of the First and Second Temple.
After that we have, on the 15th of Av.
"Day of Re-Union. Tu b'Av when the Tribes Came Together. "

Henceforth one could marry another Israelite no matter what tribe they belonged to.
This is what the day celebrates.
In a sense it may be taken to symbolize the reunification of the tribes altogether.
It is a day of rectification and reconciliation.
The Transgression of Benjamin was forgiven.
Henceforth all the tribes took it upon themselves to be more accepting of each other.

Among other things he says (roughly): That by the two and a half-Tribes from over the Jordan participating in the Conquest their own lands (east of the Jordan) are joined to the Land they are conquering and it is all counted as one entity.
(Without that it would have been considered a separate entity).
The Practical Implications for our time:
The Jews of Today comprise the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, and minority representative fractions from the other Tribes.
They at present have about half their members today in the western section of the Land of Israel.
They are struggling for this Land against Palestinian Muslims and their allies in Gaza, the West Bank, and possibly southern Lebanon.
To some degree the Jews of Israel are being assisted by the USA and UK. These latter parties derive from the Lost Ten Tribes especially those of Joseph.
By "Joseph" helping "Judah" he is affirming his right to share in the conquest of the Land beings being fought over as well as all the other Lands of Great Israel that are beyond the present borders, and the Lands he now dwells in being considered part of the Land of Israel as explained by the Hatam Sofer.
