1. "Dafydd " in Australia: Regarding Israel in Germany
Yair, Shalom,
Â
You mentioned that you once lived in the Benalla and Mansfield area of Victoria, Australia. You were then living in the shadow, as it were, of Mount Samaria in the Mount Samaria State Park. I wonder if you would have felt more at home had you moved some miles westward towards Wilmington in South Australia where you would be in the shade of Mount Zion [smile].
Â
Regarding the presence of Israel in Germany, you will find support for your position using the archeological tool used to determine racial origin, the Cephalic Index. The Cephalic Index is used by archeologists and anthropologists to classify racial origins of skeletal remains by the shape and proportions of the skull, that is the ratio of height to breadth of the skull. In a fifty year old unpublished Masters Degree thesis titled 'Key to Northwest European Origins' written by a Raymond McNair (London 1963) (link -Â http://www.giveshare.org/israel/key-to-northwest-european-origins.pdf)Â we read (p.21):
Â
'Professor Ripley, who was considered one of the world's foremost authorities on 'race', has some interesting remarks on this subject:
The shape of the human head - by which we mean the general proportions of length, breadth, and height, irrespective of the 'bumps of the phrenologist' is ONE of the best available tests of race known' (The Races of Europe, Chap. III, p. 37).
Â
Ripley then shows that the best way to measure the head form is by using the 'cephalic index.' He says:
This is simply the breadth of the head above the ears expressed in percentage of its length from forehead to back. Assuming that this length is 100, the width is expressed as a fraction of it. As the head becomes proportionately broader - that is, more fully rounded, viewed from the top down - this cephalic index increases. When it rises above 80, the head is called brachycephalic; when it falls below 75, the term dolichocephalic is applied to it. Indexes between 75 and 80 are characterized as mesocephalic. (ibid, p. 37).'
Â
The writer postulates that the Sacae (Saxons) did sojourn for some time in Germany, but then largely moved to western Europe, the British Isles and to Scandinavia. The Sacae were classified as dolichocephalic (long-headed) and archaeological studies reveal that they were present in Germany for some time, but were replaced by brachycephalic (broad-headed) and mesocephalic (round-headed) tribes who also moved into Germany after the Sacae migrations. He also finds that there are still some long-headed (Sacae) Germans living in Germany, though they are limited to the north-west corner of Germany. As one moves from north-west Germany heading south and east, the incidence of dolichocephalic shaped heads significantly decreases to a small minority, and the incidence of the broad-headed individuals predominates.
Â
One interesting fact this writer mentions is that the 'long-headed' people have any affinity to the sea which the brachycephalics don't possess. The writer quotes again from Professor Ripley (p. 89 of the above):
Â
'Yet there can be no doubt that certain aptitudes do belong to certain races and breed true from generation to generation. The flat occiput has never shown any aptitude for the sea. All the races which have commanded the sea, Â the Portuguese, Spaniards, Dutch, Norwegians and British - have long heads with prominent occiputs. It is remarkable that even at the present day the German navy recruits its crews from the western shores, where a long-headed element still manages to survive (ibid., p. 720)'
Â
And so I would suggest that the Cephalic Index does support your position that the Israelites did sojourn in Germany for some time, but have now largely moved on. There remains a small minority of Israelites amongst the Germans, but apart from the north-western coastal area, they are not a significant minority.
Â
My best wishes,
Â
Dafydd

2. Meredith Carpenter: Yankees and Southerners in the USA
Re: Brit-Am Now no. 2057. Ten Tribes Studies
Hi Yair,
I just want to comment on a couple of things.
First, I read a couple of times where you say the tribes or Manasseh are located in the south and west of the US. The scandanavians homeland in the US is in the north and midwest. Pella Iowa.... Dutch... Minnesota...(vikings) scandanavian. Amana Iowa ...Germans. The midwest is the bread-basket of the US and where the tribes are as well. The people in the south are a lot different than the north. The ethics are different. The northerners are know as Yankees. The official line is the Mason-Dixon Line. Southerns are suspicious of Yankees to this day. I live in the south now, but I am a Yankee and southerns know I am a yankee. In Texas, they would say "damn yankee".
Second, people are mentally lazy, and don't want to bother sending you money. They truly believe that someone else will do it, so they don't. People spend their money where they want to and no one can black-ball that.

3. Hebrew Nations Request for Funds
We are in need of funds in the same way as any active body would be.
No outside organization backs us. We rely on purchase of publications and contributions from our supporters and sympathizers.
The Three Rs of Brit-Am are applied by us constantly. Research; Revelation; Reconciliation
Our Research produces proof concerning the Israelite origins of Western Peoples.
We also help confirm the truth of the Bible and of Biblical Prophecy.
Despite external constraints and lack of funds we succeed in spreading the message. Our Revelation of this truth goes out and spreads forth.
The nature of our sources and how we present them is in itself an aspect of Reconciliation. Our research results are correct. They are not contested.
We incorporate Rabbinical sources in a way that is acceptable to Orthodox Jews and compatible with the interests of all Bible-Believers.
This enterprise, Hebrew Nations/Brit-Am is worth supporting and enabling to continue.
Whoever helps us will be rewarded from Heaven.
Not only do we represent Bible Study and Learning but also the Application of Bible Truth.
Hebrew Nations/Brit-Am is the truth and deserves to be made known.
Help us to continue to function and to make it known.
We are in need of funds to pay bills and meet needs.
Whosoever agrees with what we are, or even is just in favor of it, should help us.
There are only a few people who understand this message and we need those who do to help us since nobody else will.
Proverbs 3:
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
Genesis 28:
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. 22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.'
Notice that Jacob links his return to the house of his father to the giving of tithes.

4. Reply to Disagreement with our Understanding of the Hebrew Bible.
Fredrick Murphy commented on Hebrew Nations Facebook status.
Fredrick wrote: "The scholarly Hebrew teacher I checked with has explained the usage of "forever" verses "hidden" and though anybody can have an opinion...he points out two inconsistencies in great detail. I'll summarize: One is that "hidden" is more of a play on words, than a literal interpretation (when including the preposition & verbal stem & comparing elsewhere in the Tenakh). Two is that when somebody takes a desired applied meaning to a word....that they would need to be consistent and apply the meaning to the same form of the word in other places in the Tenakh, but it doesn't work here."

Brit-Am Reply:
The explanation of le-elam as meaning "to hide" is derived from the Talmud Yerushalmi (Yoma 3:7) in one context and the Talmud Babli (Kedushin 71a) in another. Both agree that the interpretation of le-elam as "to be hidden" is applicable. These are ancient sources. It is also pointed out that in Hebrew the expression,
"This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations"Â may be read from the Hebrew as implying, My name and my memorial shall be different from each other. The name is not the same as the memorial.
Anyway I looked it up. ELEM as a root lending itself to regular grammatical conjugation and meaning "hide" is found in the Bible. Wikitext gives three examples. I found another 7 after a minute or so. A more thorough search would probably have shown more. "The preposition & verbal stem" of "Le-elem" as meaning "to be hidden" is acceptable.
Not only that but also the word "olam" translated as "forever" is also derived from the same root "elem" meaning hidden. The future is the hidden as explained by S.R. Hirsch.
If you take "le-elam" and insert a consonant and vowel you can make it sound like "le-Olam" meaning forever. You can also insert a vowel without a consonant and get the same result BUT it then becomes an Exception to Biblical Practice. This is what has been done in our case (Exodus 3:15). Le-Olam meaning forever in the Hebrew Concordance is listed ca. 180 times. In 20 of these 180 occurrences the "vav" consonant is lacking as it is in Exodus 3:15.Â
In Biblical Exegesis the same letters do not have to have the same meaning at every point. In this case it is being said that a double meaning is implied.
We are not saying it does not mean "forever" but that the reading of its meaning as "forever" has required the making of an exception and that it may also mean to hide or to be hidden. Or that it may be read "as to be hidden" as a first choice. The simple text bears this out. So does the context. In other words the explanation we have given may be optional but it is feasible and it corresponds with Biblical diction.
What is more than this is that the explanation we have given relates back to the same authorities who decided what books would be included in the Bible and what, in case of doubt, each word would mean.
This is a point that people tend to forget.
The authorities who made these decisions shared the same Houses of Counsel as did the Prophets. They overlapped with them. The Bible gave them authority to make such decisions. Very often, as they pointed out, the decisions had been foreshadowed, or already hinted at, in Scripture. Even if we did not accept the Scriptural Explanation we would still be bound, according to Scripture, to obey their authority.
