See our work, "The Tribes".
On the whole we hold that Manasseh was predominant in certain areas of the British Isles but at present this may not be the case. Our impression is that descendants from Manasseh migrated to the USA at a disproportionate rate.
We found groups from Ephraim and Manasseh throughout the British Isles. They include those identified with the Anglo-Saxon and northern Peoples as well as those of Celtic culture.
Examples include Caledonians (Gilead) in the north from Manasseh. Also numerous groups in Pictish areas of Scotland from Manasseh. Parissi (Peresh) from northern England from Manasseh.
Mercians (Machir) of central Anglo-Saxon England from Manasseh. Northern Wales, Galadon (Gilead) from Manasseh. In Ireland, IAR from Manasseh.
The Angles were from Ephraim and so were other groups.
On the whole groups from Manasseh predominated in the west and north. From these regions came most of the early settlers of the USA.
In addition,
a Differential of Emigration existed similar to that described concerning Ireland in the article,
Irish Exit. Differential Emigration: The Case of Ireland
Lynda Merle is a noted historical genealogist from Northern Ireland. She remarked on a social distinction between those who migrated to North America and those who remained. This distinction has ethnic implications.

2. Ilan: Re:Â British and other Northerners. - Forget about them I say.
Yair Shalom.
Ive tried googling this subject on you sight but either my search phrase was not phrased well enough or you spoke about such matters briefly in other communications.
Why oh Why do the the people of Britammia/UK or as you refer generally the "Northern Island Nations reek so much of hatred of Israel. We know they expelled Jews in the past and havent been great hosts all the time, but it seems ever since they were given power to police the Mandate Territory at the San Remo Confrence, they have gone out of their way to slander, libel, shame, bully, intimidate, abscond with the East bank of the Jordan to pay off the, "on the run from the Saudis" Hashemites, something they had not right to and generally throw rocks at the nation state of Israel while coddling the children of Ishmael who in fact may not be the children of Ishmael at all. At least not as many as they think and goggling the phrase "Arabs are Ishmael False" you will find many sites exploring this assumed identity.
They British and the US are the ones who dug the oil out from the ground for them. The Ottoman Empire set back their engineering and scientific advancement as did Islamofacism for a long time continuing a trend that began with the decline of the Muslim Golden age, that they would still be sweeping camel dung in the desert. Then not only did they not remain neutral, but made the Arabs out to be their biggest friend in the world even more so then the USA who saved their tuchus in WW2. Arabs can do no wrong but everything, their intellectuals, the BBC, politicians all make it their goal to bend over if you get my drift to villify Israel.
Now you have the English Defense League which welcomes all people, colors, religions, who believe that Britain should remain Britain. In fact I saw a You Tube clip of the leader of the EDL going with a reporter thru his old neighborhood, now completely Muslim and dangerous to others. Some Imam waved him down and he rolled down his window and the Imam said "What are you doing on these streets" and slapped him in the face. He didnt get out of the car because he said the cowardly Imam was no doubt already sending out twitter for others to come down. Maybe for a lynching party.
Antony Burgess, the novelist and and well known Anti Semite, know mostly for writing "Clockwork Orange" wrote a novel "1985" which I was reading, at some point in my Golani Service when thing were quite and I could squeeze a page in now and then without the Sarge catching me at it. Usually at the gate doing guard duty, peripheral vision. One eye on the book and one eye on who was coming and going. Well anyways in this novel written in about 1979 or so, at least thats when I bought my copy at Steimantzkys, he predicted an England totally ruled by Arabs, I thinkÂ
Buckingham palace was a Mosque in the book and as much as I detest Burgess for his views on our people, he hit it spot on. Along with 1984 also know as PC he wrote 1985 almost as a sequel tribute. Also sadly the writer of the much beloved book Charlie and the Chocolate factoryÂ
and others Roald Dahl also has some very unpleasant opinions.
The intervention of Hashem aside, how can we ever countenance any contact with the Northern Islanders, the British in particular, but also now the Irish, whos IRA used to train PLO terrorists. I say God put them there and let them stay the hell there and suffer their just deserts.
If Israel was smart, it would have threatened total destruction of the Gulf State oil fields if the world did not put a leash on the Arabs instead of Israel. From Israel to Kuwait or Saudi Arabias oil fields is less then 900 miles one way, Entebbe was 2,100 miles one way. This they should have done long ago. Israel has the opportunity to make it very hard for the Arab Oil Countries and the rest of the world, at least they did till the US started sending these ungrateful behamahs [animals] weapons and planes. Saddam set the oil fields on fire, Image the IAF doing it with a vengeance? Jews are stupid, they dont know when they have a winning hand at cards and when they do they show it to everyone so no one buts down a bet. And I wont discuss what a threat to the Kaaba, Israel can hold over their heads with the "Just try us" attitude to the Arabs and Iran. Thats how I see it Yair. Who needs those particular lost tribes. Japheth has treated us a lot better in so many way, thats why they are invited to dwell in the tents of Shem per Breisheit [Book of Genesis].

See:
Are The Ten Tribes the Same as Gentiles? by Yair Davidiy
Extracts:
The Talmud and the Law.
Yebamot 17 a/b says that the Lost Ten Tribes are to have the status of Gentiles for all intents and purposes.
The Commentary "Keren Orah" (R. Yitzchak of Karlin, 1780s) sums up the case quite succinctly:
# From their understanding of Scripture (Hosea 5:7 ) the Sages declared the Ten Tribes to have the same status as Gentiles for all intents and purposes. They made this decision through the authority of the Prophets and the Divine Inspiration they [i.e. the Sages] had...all others [i.e. Jews] who were assimilated amongst the Gentiles are assumed to have the same status [as the Ten Tribes, i.e. as Gentiles, but being destined to return. ]#
The Ten Tribes before their exile worshipped idols (2-Kings chs. 17,18). They were in fact pagans. For Jewish scholars who find this concept difficult to accept (as many seem to do) it should be mentioned that according to the Torah (as explained by authorities such as the Vilna Gaon) Israelite inhabitants of an "ir ha-nidachat" (city whose inhabitants have all committed idolatry, Deuteronomy ch.13) are also all considered legally the same as Gentiles, regardless of their indisputable Israelite ancestry.
In the future the Ten Tribes will return and will once again receive the yoke of the Torah. This is confirmed by the simple meaning of the Bible. The Abarbanel ("Mashmia Yishua") implies that whosoever does not accept the eventual return of the Ten Tribes in effect is guilty of denying the Truth of Scripture. This is confirmed by other sources. Rabbi Akiva (Sanhedrin 110b) is often quoted as saying that the Ten Tribes will not return. He was however (in this case) overruled by Rabbi Elazar who asserted that the Tribes definitedly will return. Later Commentators (consistent with Rashi) explained even Rabbi Akiva to have been speaking only concerning the Ten Tribes in his own generation and not those of the future. The Bible (see below) expressly says that the Ten Tribes will return and it is difficult to imagine Rabbi Akiva going against an express Biblical message. The Sages declared, "Halacha [Lawful enactment see Tosefta] the Ten Tribes will return".
The Lost Ten Tribes will Return.
In the meantime the Ten Tribes have the same status as all other non-Jews. Apart from the Declared Law there are numerous other reasons why this ruling is upheld. No living person, for instance, can prove with objective certainty that they really are descended from the Lost Ten Tribes. At the most, they may (with the help of evidence such as that produced by Brit-Am) say with a reasonable degree of probability that they well may be descended from Ancient Israelites. This is not sufficient for an individual but when dealing with whole communities in the same situation an authoritative body such as the Sanhedrin may be able to come up with some kind of solution.

5. Mark Williams: historical "growth of the English American population is nothing short of
phenomenal!"
Thanks for the reply. Have you seen this table?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_immigration_to_the_United_States#Population_in_1790
The growth of the English American population is nothing short of
phenomenal. A nine fold plus increase where most other groups have
barly managed three or four fold (albeit, from a lower starting point.
The exception being the Africans who, despite having greater initial
numbers only managed to double in size. Although that's likely down to
the conditions they lived under). Note that the population of England
itself was only 4 millions or so at the start of the Colonial period
and 8 millions, roughly, at the end of it. Also, The UK's population
was actually higher than the USA's up until the late 1830s. Around 1840
the US started pulling ahead and it's not looked back since.
So I guess we didn't lose the ARW because they had superior numbers.
BTW, I'm not sure the Wikipedia article agrees with your contention
that most British immigrants to the US originated in the North and West
of the country.

Concerning your remark,
# I'm not sure the Wikipedia article agrees with your contention that most British immigrants to the US originated in the North and West of the country.#
See:
Calvin Kephart, "Races of Mankind, Their Origin and Migration," N.Y. 1960, p.437.
From the west of England and from Wales, Scotland, and Ireland the United States of America received approximately eighty-seven percent (sic. 87%) of its British immigrants in its formative period#.
         # Kephart (ibid) p.438, n.314, "Based on the statistics of the U.S. Department of Labour and the assumption that 2/3 of the immigrants from England had had such antecedents" i.e. that they came from the west and north of Britain.
Â
I made a quick glance around the web and did not find much apart from
English Emigration
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAEengland.htm
It says:
# After 1830 the numbers of people leaving Britain increased dramatically. This was particularly true of those farmers and labourers who had lived in counties that had been hardest hit by the agricultural depression such as Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Cornwall, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Cumberland. #
Kent and Sussex are in the east of England. All the other mentioned counties are in the north and west.
