1. The Month of Cheshvan is that of Manasseh.
We have begun the month of Cheshvan also known as Marcheshvan. The "ch" letters in this name, as in all transcribed Hebrew Words, is pronounced like a "h" but with a slight guttural emphasis. If you find this difficult at first you are probably best off pronouncing it like an "h".
This month according to the Ari and the Vilna Gaon, whom we most rely on, is the month of Manassseh. In the Zodiac it has the sign of the Scorpion.

2. Manasseh and the USA
We identify the USA with Manasseh.
We consider the USA to be that country through which Manasseh achieved his Tribal Expression.
Reasons for this identification include:
Areas in the British Isles where elements from Manasseh were to be found contributed a disproportionately high percentage of the early settlers in the USA. So too possibly concerning those from other arts of Europe.
The USA is popularly referred to as simply America. The name America is derived from the name Americo which is a Latinized form of the Hebrew "Ha-Machiri". This name originally meant "pertaining to Machir". Machir was the first born son of Manasseh.
The name Machir in Hebrew embodies the Principles of Capitalism and the USA is the fountain of Capitalism in the modern sense.
The name Manasseh in Hebrew may be understood to mean "Responsible Representation" which is the USA form of government and the principle by which the USA came into being.
The Presidential system of government that characterizes the USA was that of Manasseh in Biblical times.
"Yank" is a nickname for American. Yank means Jack which is short for Jacob. Manasseh was attached more to Jacob whereas Ephraim was closer to Joseph.
Manasseh was to become great AFTER Ephraim!

and am studying Hebrew, Jewish history and halacha from Rabbi Daum in
Antwerp Belgium. Besides, with some friends I organize a Torah study on
Shabbat every other Shabbat. All this in preparation for the coming great
